Did McGruther not state last week that Livi were able to fulfil a Div 1 game but not a Div 3 game? Perhaps I'm getting muddled up between statements,papers and P&B posts.

That may well be the case but I think its unrealistic in the current climate to expect these things to be forthcoming in the timeframe required,perhaps the Consortium misjudged the time required in the same way some of the posters on here have,after all neither of them are in the top echelons of non-billionaires.

Why is this not back on the 1st Div forum? According to the SFL rather strangely after all the pish of the last week Livi,Airdrie and Cowden are in the 1st,2nd an 3rd respectively.

I don't think they are,if as you posted they were assured of a place in Div 1 if a bond was posted, then took last weeks decision regardless of wether or not a bond was posted then IMO that's is totally wrong and against the whole ethos of sport. Regardless of Livi's behaviour if the above happened then I think that is a very dangerous course of action for SFL clubs to be taking in the current climate,unless they are all financially sound and all have credit facilities that is. I know my club can hardly get a pie on tick.

It may well be a red herring,but I'm not totally convinced and neither was the journo last night. Those involved in both sides of this issue appear to be getting caught up in the emotion of the situation and that never makes for a happy ending,my club were on a shoogly peg last season by taking a gamble yet the man that gambled with my clubs future is in there deciding on how much of a gamble a club is allowed to take.
