  1. Don't feel rejected it's only coz he's young and still thinks he's going to pull a stunner for his growing up parade, reality will settle in and he'll realise(probably after a skinful)that it's not bodywork but performance that counts. Edited due to muddling up Inverclyde wankers.
  2. Probably be me talking bollocks I'm renowned for it,don't think there is a points deduction set in stone.
  3. Over-egging it a bit saying 12 clubs but I'll bet there are more than 12 close to the edge. Where do Div 3 teams go if they go into admin?
  4. At least someone can see the woods for the trees. SPL-8 TEAMS DIV 1-6 TEAMS DIV 2-6 TEAMS DIV 3-22 TEAMS League reconstruction by accident.
  5. Brilliant, our economy will rise over the coming months.
  6. You'll just be bringing yourself down to the same level as the morons themselves IMO. It will be coming to a club near you soon of that there is no doubt,I hate Killie to the bottom of my toes(when we are in opposition)but would never wish that on them,in fact I'd be out with the big bucket to raise cash for them, even although my team lost out against them last season no other team could instill the feelings of those 2 games and that's why the sooner we reach Killies level the better. And I'd expect TBC,Findus etc to be of a similar opinion.
  7. The majority will be decent people trying their best. The problem is having cash doesn't always mean you have good judgement,as most entrepeneurs would admit that at some point in the past the had to take massive gambles to get where they are.
  8. That's a fair point, but to gain entry into our footballing bodies owners should be foregoing the right to do as they please, instead being expected to act with more integrity than other businesses.
  9. That's a slur on GG he only wanted to purchase one under an assumed name.
  10. Perhaps a small country should not be run by 3 seperate bodies who by all accounts can't work together for the greater good of our game. The problem with accepting the consequences is that I as a fan of club have absolutely no say in wether my club is run by a mature/immature person,as with other clubs the supporters will be there long after the baton holder is gone, the rules should be introduced to protect the clubs of the supporters not to allow anyone with a few bob to do as they like.
  11. Your earlier posts along with this one appear to suggest that it is only some posters using SFL instead of SFA when posting suggestions, why argue then, someone needs to take heed of financial mismanagement,it doesn't matter who so long as someone is doing it. 7. Clubs aiming to live within their means-laudable but means nothing,a % of turnover is required not an aim as an aim depends on chairmen being fiscally prudent taking no account of headbangers, dreamers etc.
  12. I haven't posted anything that suggest actions should be taken unless it arrives in court,Massone repeatedly ended up in court and repeatedly paid staff and players late,no petty gripes.
  13. SD can't come up with suggestions preferring to criticise others attempts,so go ahead you tell us how you'd sort Scottish football.
  14. Why don't you post your suggestions including those that might impinge on your own team,my earlier suggestions would affect my club on at least 2 counts but I still think such rules need introduced b4 we start losing even more clubs. What happens when we start losing teams with cup and title winning history?
  15. You appear to be answering in self-preservation tones. If a debt is outstanding long enough to reach court then that clubs finances should be scrutinised by footballing authorities. If a player receives their wages late more than once then that would suggest a cash-flow problem that should be investigated and help given to help the club rectify the situation b4 it becomes a problem.
  16. While I have no knowledge of SFA/SPL/SFL rules and wether Livi contravened any b4 last week, the MP's for the most part didn't contravene any rules during the expenses farce but morally they were in the wrong as the rules were wrong and made up by themselves for themselves, similar to Scottish football in my opinion. If Scottish football wants to stop running itself on a self-interest basis and introduse rules for everyone based on what's best for our game then why don't they introduce morally justifiable rules fit for all? 1.Cap expenditure on players wages to 55-60% of turnover. 2.For clubs that have already spent outwith their means to gain an unfair advantage in the past all interest payments due to creditors should be deducted from the above 55-60%. 3.Governing bodies should be able to intervene and gain access to a clubs accounts if for example a club are taken to court for late or non-payment of bills. 4.Governing bodies should be able to gain access to a clubs accounts if players or other staff are not paid on time on more than 1 occasion. 5.Clubs should not be allowed to survive on soft loans, anyone wishing to invest money in a club should receive shares to the value of their investment. 6.Pre-defined penalties should be introduced for entering Administration etc. There are many more rules that can be put in place, those above would certainly sort out some of the shit that is happening in our football at the moment.
  17. It's always easy to slate the Livi fans but when apathy sets in it's hard to motivate the fans,I've witnessed it at my own club fairly recently, when Ayr were originally trying for planning permission 1500(more Ayr fans than attended most of the home games last season where we were unbeaten) turned up at a Council meeting in the Citadel,if that same meeting had taken place 2 seasons ago we probably wouldn't have got more than 100 or 200 fans attending. It's always easy to take the I'm all right Jack approach when things are going swimmingly, but like other clubs I've watched my team when it's one man and his dog stuff. Ayr have just came through a period of for the most part doing it the correct way, and it's fcuking soul destroying, you start to question wether you should be taking your family to the cinema or bowling instead of wasting your cash watching chancers barely breaking sweat coz that's all your club can afford, and I'm a die hard so god knows how your going to keep waiverers watching during the period of inactivity.
  18. Your post is correct, how many teams actually live within their means in Scotland? Partick tried it in the SPL and got relegated as they were one of the few doing it in the SPL at that time. The problem at Livi is that a team in the lower leagues probably couldn't afford to pay the rent and put a team on the park that could compete at the same time. My own team took a gamble that paid off last season that I wasn't entirely happy about, but what is the point of football if there is no ambition shown? The fans would just slowly drift away as you need excitement somewhere down the line. At the moment Airdries' level is Div 2 but for the 2nd season running they're being made to play in Div 1 and IMHO it is slowly killing them.
  19. Too tired to read the previous pages, but I think this decision is terrible for all SFL clubs as most are only a baw hair away from the same scenario, all this has done is sounded the death knell for another club and brought Airdrie a bit closer to theirs as well due to the apathy already at the club. I'll keep saying it,self-interest is killing our game and until it stops our game is going to continue to slide nearer the abyss. Admin, insolvency etc should have clearly defined punishments not arbitrary ones that we'll judge on each individual clubs merits,2 years time if Mad Vlads' world comes crashing down and Hearts are in the SFL then become insolvent like Livi will they be relegated to Div 3 where they will have no chance of servicing all their creditors and debts? Don't think so. Our governing bodies couldn't arrange a shag in a whore house without months of indecision. It's ok fans saying they deserved the punishment for their behaviour over the past 14 years but that doesn't take away the fact that fans are going to lose the club they support, number of fans is irrelevant IMO,I know Meadowbank fans will still be bitter towards Livi but that's not the fault of the Livi supporters.
  20. Hope they only get a 10 point deduction, anything more will just make the situation even more farcical if that's possible. Massone is an easy target, anyone that believes a large portion of the financial woes present at Livi weren't inherited by Massone are IMO kidding themselves on. Surely Flynn acting like a desperado and accepting the devils pound with no regard for future consequences to Livi should be getting as much flak as Massone.
  21. TBH I think it's been opened a fair few times in the past,if this keeps up every club in Scotland will be hated for spending with no intention of paying in full.
