He was a member of the Free Presbyterian Church (the Wee Wee Frees) and not the Free Church (Wee Frees).

I don't know if anyone well known ever joined the Popular Free Church (wee splitters)

  2. Put this on the other thread but will repeat here.

It's an even worse choice than last time.

We have Forbes being treated as the Devil Incarnate/Messiah (delete as applicable). I personally have sn issue with her not because of her religious tinted views but how she crumbled last time round with simple questions related to said views. If she can't handle simple bat away questions is she really capable of dealing with the more robust attacks?

Swinney is just an appalling choice - even closer to Sturgeon than Yousaf.  That wouldn't necessarily be an issue on its own if it weren't for the fact that he has been useless in almost every cabinet position he has served in - possibly one of the worst ever Education Ministers we have had.  His only saving grace was his stint as Finance Minister.  And to compound matters he is about as inspirational as a wet weekend in Largs.

I may very well be misremembering here but when Boris resigned and Truss took over was it not highlighted by all parties, including the SNP, that the public never voted for Truss and an election should be called to allow the public to decide?  The same when Sunak took office.

When Sturgeon resigned and Humza took over I don’t recall Humza highlighting this issue and he didn’t call an election.  Is it likely Humza’s replacement will call an election?

They can't. Different rules from WM.

This is massive. Obviously we took a doing at Dens earlier in the season, and we're struggling for form, albeit were pretty good against Rangers today.

    I'm pretty nervous, NGL.

    Same again would be nice.

Hopefully Hemming will be as bad as he was yesterday.

Our secret weapon is that Carson isn't playing.

Can we just give @SandyCromarty one of those loyalty cards where every time he is mentioned on here he gets a wee stamp?

I can't think what his reward would be for getting 20 stamps. Maybe we just name this thread after him.

Anyway. Slavery and colonialism getting a good airing in the thread concerning, ehm, Nic Sturgeon's man and his camper van

    Only 20?

One interesting thing is that absolutely nobody has mentioned Angus Robertson as a potential leader.  Just totally gone from the conversation after being such a major figure.

Jim Sillars on SKy just then saying he backed Kate Forbes, for what that's worth.

Doesn't have anything like the level of support needed to run.

The Times reports that Yousaf will resign.  I don’t have the free articles left to read it, so cannot confirm if their main source is Murdo Fraser.

They said the same on Friday.

    We'll see.soon enough.

Been a poor half. Celtic started well but lacking a final ball. We've given them too much respect and are acting like they're playing Ange-ball and have had very little composure.

One bit of quality in the game resulted in the goal. Nothing we could really do about it. Superb strike, unfortunately.

Hopefully we have a bit more of a go at it in the second half.

It was a superb strike but also a bit lucky in the run up to it but that's happened to us as well this season.

Bakayoko shooting when he had better options was criminal.
