The greater American influential danger that has been with us since 1945 and has grown massively since then is the hold the US military has over our government, the amount of US military hardware on our doorstep is frightening which only serves to present us working in hand in hand with the US military which will only bring retaliation.

We've had the Mormons in the UK since 1837. And we've all experienced young American missionary Mormon door knockers. Even with all the time since they came there is only around 26,000 Mormons in Scotland as against say almost 700,000 Catholics. So if it hasn't worked for the Mormons I'm not too worried about other American Evangelical outfits.

Blasphemy with all its connotations belongs in the 19th century. We no longer burn witches or hang young men for the crime of blasphemy. So why would we even consider turning the clock back 200/300 years to satisfy a religious sect.
