It's a no brainer for those that are voting. Do you go for a definite drop in income by relegating the Rangers clone, or a potential drop in income from boycottes by letting them stay. This decision is already made. What we're really waiting for is how significant other sanctions might be. Nothing short of crippling them to the point that they are fighting relegation will do me. 40 point deduction for next 3 years (at least) and a wage cap of pennies. Thats most likely as good as you can hope for

F#ck em. Even the "blueprints" Leeds and Palace suffered severe hardship in the lower reaches before and after they newco'd. They had to put mince they could actually afford onto the park. If Tax Dodger FC 2012 carry on as normal next season onwards I'm done. I'll no be back to an spl game. Thats no empty threat as some suggest, it's a fact. Better things to do.

I might be missing something here (and I haven't been back to check if this has been previously confirmed or not) but this is not a done deal yet surely? All he's done is bought the right to have a wee squint at the books before anyone else, no? There's still a long road to go. Including sorting out a predicatably messy CVA and getting some sort of agreement from the authorities that Rangers 2012 can inherit 1872's league share? Neither of the above are (yet) certain as far as I'm aware. (Although quite likely re: league share)

When the time comes for the newco to buy all of the "oldco" assets I do hope Steve Brown swoops in, outbids them, and buys the history of titles and cups since it's that easy to pass achievements onto a new team that has hee haw to do with the old one. It'll also shut the St Mirren fans right up on here, St Johnstone would suddenly become the most successfull club in Scottish football and all for only a few quid.

It was predictable Sally would argue the history follows the "team in blue shirts". But he's wrong, it's a not in any way shape or form a continuation of Bankrupt FC. It's a brand new team, brand new company crucially WITHOUT 3 years worth of accounts. I suspect the limit of Ally's research was a quick Google search on Crystle Palace and Leeds United. A quick scan of a forum somewhere confirmed exaclty what he was wanting to hear. His financial understanding is probably as well developed as his football management skills.

Fully agree 100%. Ill health has prevented me from going to many games this season, I think I managed 4 in total. I always intended to return to the game once I was on the mend but I am now not so sure I want to. I've now unavoidably went "cold turkey" from the Saturday match day experience and I've realised there is other things I can do on a Saturday that also costs significantly less. If this sham comes to pass I can't justify to myself returning as a full time supporter next year. I know this leaves me open to all sorts of barbs and jibes about my loyalties as a football fan but frankly I've reached a point where I really don't care. The SPL need to give me a reason to return and part with my diminishing disposable income next year and a blatently fixed competition is going the wrong way about it.

More pish from the Sportsound Loyal. At least there was one boy who had a modicum of objectivity over the whole debacle. He was mostly drowned out by Jim "Scottish football needs Rangers" Traynor though. Traynor defending Sallys comments would normally induce rage, but I've come to expect that sort of apologetic bollocks from him and his rag. Sadly even Jim Spence seemed to get caught up in it all. The most infuriating thing about it is the arrogant manner listeners questions and points are addressed. There's an air of superiority emanating from the lot of them, almost an invisible snear at those who don't happen to agree with the 'we need Rangers' mantra.
