No biggie really, there will be better players available. Still though, it could be worse, could be a Ayr Utd supporter and watch shite like Chris Smith and Scott McLaughlin week in week out.
The Chris Smith that took Ayr to Hampden with a winning goal at St Mirren last season? Oh aye, you'd hate that.

Moyes came from a Championship team.
With due respect to this being true, Everton's position at that point was trying not to get relegated rather than trying to get back into the Champions League and reinforce their dominance over Liverpool.

Why is Martinez being linked so closely with the Everton job? Fair enough that he showed with Swansea that he could work wonders on a limited budget, but that was in the Championship / League One. Is keeping Wigan in the Premier League by the skin of their teeth several times that much of an accomplishment?

Part-time teams will accept any dry bones and bits of tinsel that SPL clubs offer them for their star players. With Greenock cutting contracts following their failure to buy the league it's extremely unlikely that the family silver will remain locked in the cupboard if the big boys make even a derisory offer.

There's absolutely nothing wrong with celebrating the death of loathesome individuals. Or at the very least it bringing a smile to your face if not outright street parties.
More to the point, I don't remember the BBC condemning the most recent brown-people-of-the-month for holding street parties to celebrate the deaths of their own big bads. Seem to recall them being quite gleeful over the whole "Gaddafi on public display in a freezer in a shopping centre" thing.

Oh God, whoever thought of leaving milk alongside the flowers should be given a fucking knighthood.
I'm off to the pub. Bunting awaits.

Leeds financial stability
lol lol lol
If you're hoping for financial stability at Leeds you'd be better hoping Marty McFly is the next manager.

This is just a sideshow for Liverpool Football Club. Once this piddling little diddy cup is out of the way they'll be free to concentrate on getting into the top four this season.

Back before the Tories attempted to extinguish the BBC, Gavin Strachan wrote a good blog post about the kind of praise he and his team-motes got in the U21s. Some of them went on to Premier League fame, while for some (Strachan included) it was in retrospect the best point of their careers.

One decent season at Swansea does not make you good enough for Liverpool.
What was Kenny Dalglish's excuse, then?
Rodgers made a horrific error in judgement coming to Liverpool. Best he gets out before his promising career is caught in the death spiral.

There's your mistake.

Hardly relevant to what we're discussing here since he was caught and punished.
Cheating isn't not cheating so long as you get caught for it. Suarez is a filthy, rotten cheat, and has been since before he went to Them Without Shame.

Forgot to make a point about Mansfield's craven little "96" display as well. Aye, fucking encourage them why don't you.

The most blatant cheating you will ever see
Sorry, were we discussing something else?
Anyway, aye, Liverpool are fucking horse. Hopefully some rich foreign club puts in a huge bid for Suarez this month and Fenway decide to cash in, which both removes his stink from these shores and will also see them finish around 16th.

Top fucking two. Brilliant.

did anyone else see that moyes is the 12th highest paid manager in the world?
not bad for a guy who has never won a trophy or made the champions league.
Managers get less than players at that level, and in the Premier League the managers who get more are those who are typically better regarded (hilarity ensues when it's pointed out that Saint Martin is on that list). Moyes is an absolute bargain for what he's done at the club on a fraction of his contemporaries' budgets.

Still a long way to go, but Brendan Rodgers is doing a fine job with this squad of dross....
Couple more signings in January and Liverpool can look to push for 5th and 6th.
That relies on him being around to see the results. If Khhhhhing Khhhhhenny can get shoved out of the airlock then that speaks wonders for the tolerance of the owners. I wouldn't put it past them to let him go after a disappointing start next season even after the dross is shifted, especially if he has to start making tough decisions like dropping Sir Steven long-term that get the letters pouring in.

Walcott going to Liverpool He may play for a team who will never win another trophy, but at least they're not going to be desperately chasing mid-table safety for the foreseeable future. If Huntelaar ends up there that'll serve him right for thinking that he was able to pick and choose when to finally move to the Premier League. Darren Bent (for another hilariously OTT fee) seems the likely one there. Liverpool might actually be able to win the odd game with him.

...to be fair that's so bad it'll probably sell with folk buying it for a laugh.
There will be plenty, plenty of people buying it deadly seriously. Remember who you're dealing with here.
Anyone else notice nobody celebrated with Suarez?
This is the fucking best thing I've ever seen.

How would Hibs be doing without Leigh Griffiths?
Hibs aren't permanently 18 months from regaining the Premier League and the European Cup, though.
That Duncan Jenkins stuff is absolutely insane. Fitting that Jen Chang looks to be keeping his job. Also sadly telling that "Jenkins" is still a die-hard Liverpool fan even after being threatened with having his own orcish hordes let loose on him.

Like Spurs last season, Liverpool are doing absolutely the right thing with the Europa League.
Like Spurs last season, Liverpool will be wishing they had European action at all this time next year. Much like Wenger's use of the Carling Cup as an opportunity to give the third team some match time, you don't know what you've got 'till it's gone.

Rodgers will be fine when he's had a couple of windows to impose his own look on the squad. Adam knew what he was in for in signing for Liverpool, so hell mend him: I'm sure he'll be okay when he's at Wigan or whoever. Anyone stupid enough even to entertain the notion that his nationality has anything to do with his popularity at fucking Liverpool of all places probably belongs on my ignore list along with the original instigator of that notion (who you should all have on ignore already).
Liverpool's transition to a second-tier EPL side is now complete. In the course of a long season they'll still end up proving better than the relegation fodder and will likely get the odd scalp from the best teams, but they're as likely to finish in the top four as Carroll is to end up with the Golden Boot. Take a bow King Kenny.

Can't understand why any player with any ambition at all would want to play for the Buns in division three.
I can sort of understand the Norn Iron types. Who wouldn't want to play for their national team. Black is just a terrible, terrible person.

Did Traynor really issue a statement for the fans to come and get him?

Inevitable tears. Ayr's failure this season was unlikely to bust a stingy boardroom. Morton's will dash the hopes of a generation, especially when part time football arrives.
