  1. Incompetent refereeing is killing us this season. Never seems to be in our favour either.
  2. Aye, apart from Livi having to play the second half with 10 men.
  3. Same pitch for both teams. The difference was in the work rate and desire. If you have that sense of entitlement coming to wee grounds you're going to mightily resent it if things stop going your way. Livi won fair and square.
  4. Aye so he did and the ref made the wrong one. Never a penalty. But we're used to that at Livi. At least our diddy alliance brothers benefitted this time rather than the elites.
  5. Don't hold your breath on that one Cptn. Last three games - Cosgrove got a dodgy penalty for Aberdeen, Dykes got hauled down as last man but ref waved play on v Rangers and Steven McLean fooled by the big Hamilton no 99 going down in the box on Saturday.
  6. Unfair on Lammie. He has been steady and strong at the back this season. He puts in a shift and wins most balls in the air.
  7. Yip. Goldson did it at Ibrox last Saturday and managed to get Dykes sent off. He carried on fine after it and played on Wednesday.
  8. Just a one game ban for two yellows so Aberdeen next week.
  9. Is this too simple a question? If Souda is weak at defending why don't we use him as an attacker?
  10. It's they grass pitches that seem to be where we get these injuries. Should get them banned.
  11. I'll be happy if Pittman is still with us after Tuesday. It's a nervous time when you're a selling club and the transfer window is still open.
  12. I do believe you are right. We are an even more awesome team than I thought.
  13. This is our 24th year in the leagues. Four league titles, two cups, a foray into Europe, two administration's and countless managers. It's never been dull supporting Livi.
  14. Dunfermline fans were less than complimentary about him when we signed Shaun Byrne.
  15. It was jist a wee bit of banter. But imagine going down and holding your head because somebody brushed their arm over it. Embarrassing.
  16. Brushed his hand over Kane's head you mean. Probably puts more pressure on his comb after a shower. Saints players went down easy all game. Dallas actually got wise to them late on in the game and ignored it. Only thing he did right.
  17. Of course they are valid points but they are still opinions and as Liviforever says no one is arguing that good grass pitches beat good artificial every day of the week. The fact is that we had multiple problems over the years with our pitch getting so easily waterlogged after heavy rain. It was ripped up and relaid several times but the stadium was built in a place that makes it difficult for water to drain well. An artificial pitch means a cut down in the number of postponed games. A club of our size suffered from the drop in income from Saturday postponements to midweek evenings. If it seems to disadvantage visiting teams to play on our pitch then tough. It's a disadvantage to us that clubs like Motherwell and Hearts can offer much better wages to players like Gallagher and Halkett. But that's fitba' and Livi earned the right to play in the SPL. Any views on the horrible Carroll tackle on Devlin? You'll be telling me that jumping off the ground and sticking your studs into a players thigh was caused by the pitch I suppose.
  18. Funny how the pitch didn't lead to yellow cards for most of the Motherwell team. It's at the stage where if a linesman throws up at the side or a dug runs on it'll be because of the artificial pitch. It's getting hilarious listening to excuses from them all.
  19. No idea why but reading this thread the names Pearse Flynn, Angelo Massone and Charles Green keep coming into my head.
  20. Makin always jogged about like a headless chicken adding very little to a team of grafters. He was good at the odd glancing header from a corner because he was where he knew he was supposed to be.
