  1. As a bank manager for over 20 years I have failed to understand why Ticketus would advance the vast amount they did without a considerable amount of security/collateral. Even if the advance had been to RFC itself they would have needed to have a fall-back position in place, probably a standard security over the property of the club which at that time was held by Lloyds. Instead they make the loan to Whyte. Why?

The Ticketus Ibrox Stadium? (Promise naming rights?).

He couldn't have sold them on that surely?

Then again, nowt in this would surprise me.

  2. Been thinking ...

    :o

... some posts on this thread have shown that relegation from the SPL will not mean THE END for most clubs. Even my county rivals might survive such a painful experience (possibly, although they might've ripped the arse out of it too far). I won't deny that such a relegation occasion would be celebrated massively in my household, but I feel a wee bit more piece of mind that it possibly wouldn't mean the said END for them.

Many original SPL clubs sold their souls at the time but recent posts got me thinking that many fans would love to return to days of shifting between leagues with regular promotion/relegationj battles. It creates brilliant days out as my own club have experienced in recent years. Do SPL fans feel reassured that relegation could in fact be enjoyable rather than THE END ... Hibs in the late 90s spring to mind as a model of survival.

F*ck SKY, who fancies a Forfar bridie ...

Flemings of Arbroath steak & gravy pies! Excellent! smile.gif

  3. UEFA have stated that all football debts be paid in full. HMRC cant accept a CVA unless all creditors are treated equally.

HMRC has failed in its attempt to over turn the football creditor rule under which English FA members pay their football debts before any other creditors, the BBC reported on Friday 25 May.

Uh-oh, now it's a spat... The #SFA are quick to react to #Rangers' claim that Court of Session visit was only option: http://bbc.in/LqH4kR

In a swift response to Rangers' statement, the SFA issued one of its own on Sunday evening.

It read: "Referring the matter to the Court of Session, Rangers FC utilised the court's right of Supervisory Jurisdiction contained within Scots Law.

"Given that any two parties can seek arbitration, the club was not 'prohibited from appealing to the Court of Arbitration for Sport', as was claimed.

"Indeed, no representation was made by the club to the Scottish FA to discuss the possibility or the process of seeking arbitration via the Court of Arbitration for Sport before Judicial Review was actioned."

    Ha up yous.

Spin is clever and to a certain extent an art form. Lies, now that's just embarrassing. The only reason CAS was a closed door to renegers is that they'd be dead before they limped down the corridor.

Dear Charles Green and your Mysteron(s),

Thanks for injecting some new interest into this weekend. Up until now the only highlight has been that it totally pished it down all over the queens floating clusterfuck on the thames today.:D

Also note the swift and decisive rebuttal from the SFA, on a bank holiday Sunday no less. Just practicing the use of your new found set of balls guys? Good.

The bold bit answers the question I have asked on more than one occasion.

    Thanks.

    Next question. WHY NOT ASK!

  5. THE ASSOCIATION AND ITS MEMBERSHIP

    3. The Association is a member of FIFA and UEFA. Accordingly, it is itself obliged to:-

    (1) comply with the statutes, regulations, directives, codes and decisions and the

International Match Calendar of FIFA, UEFA and the Court of Arbitration for Sport

    and the Laws of the Game issued by IFAB;

    (2) recognise the jurisdiction of the Court of Arbitration for Sport as specified in the

    relevant provisions of the FIFA Statutes and the UEFA Statutes;

133.3.6 Decisions of the Appeals Board

The decision of the Appeals Board shall be final and binding on all parties

concerned subject to the arbitration procedure which may be available to the

appellant to the Court of Arbitration for Sport. However, in relation to any

matters concerning National Club Licensing or the National Club Licensing

Procedures, the decision of the Appeals Board shall be final and binding on all

    parties concerned.

Is there any evidence to suggest that they requested a referral to CAS?

The Rangers Supporters Trust Board is calling on Stewart Regan to resign after he favoured a tweet which threatened Rangers Midfielder Lee McCulloch:

"In the image provided you will see a rival fan post "I might try to find a vid to painstakingly review again...& I'd cheerfully see him hung" in conversation that started off with another fan gleefully state he would like Lee McCulloch sent off where Regan has been tweeted in.

Stewart Regan subsequently hit favourite on this tweet: http://i49.tinypic.com/2v9r7mh.jpg

This is a disgraceful gesture from Stewart Regan which exposes his real attitude towards Rangers Football Club.

It really smacks of incompetence for the SFA Chief Executive to encourage threatening tweets at the same time the authorities are trying to clamp down on threatening behaviour online.

Stewart Regan should be leading by example rather than being a cheer leader for threatening and intimidating behaviour and his position is now untenable.

Rangers supporters' confidence in Stewart Regan has been diminishing for some time given his failure to address the constant singling out of referees in the final third of last season and the obstructive and difficult position he has taken during Rangers current administration process. But this is the last straw and Stewart Regan must pack his bags and go."

As someone who is not on twits,

Gonna just c&p the drivel for us "less fortunates!"

    Ta.

  7. FTAO Tsar and all the other freaks who think Rangres are going to walk awayLord Glennie has basically told the tribunal to chuck Rangers out the association.

ETA so No8 with all your "the SFA would find it hard to justify expulsion to the CoS after ruling it out in writing twice" you are full of shyte, as ever.

    Compelling!

As to No8. Pretty sure he meant to say buy nappies! tongue.gif

  8. apparently this thread is an license to talk absolute shite as long as it's about rangers going out the game then? the sfa aren't going to expel rangers over this, they have already told the court of session that they view that as too harsh a punishment yet we have people on here who are sure it's going to happen and won't hear otherwise.

the other night before the thomson email revelation i was a '***' for saying they would be a load of shite. guess what? i was a *** for disagreeing that H&D would be removed asap about 4 times in the last month. guess what? i was *** for saying there would no criminal charges over this. guess what?

i think this whole thing will end with a newco playing in the spl with a one season points deduction, one season cup ban and 3 year euro ban. i think that would be pretty fair and please neither the ocrs on follow follow or the uberdiddies on here.

Gotta put this in. Simply because of your sentiments.

    Mine are thus:

I, pretty much, try to keep up with this thread and most likely show as such.

There are a few reasons for it.

I can voice my opinion at anytime, I can agree or disagree with anyone who posts. I have found that I can find answers to questions I would have posted if I hold back for a few posts, invariably it's been asked and answered. I have found funny, insightful, educated and thought provoking arguments and valid debate. I have also found "off topic stuff" (in a thread of, in excess of 37,000 posts, guilty party to that, not surprising) to be a must read every day.

    Just thought I'd say.

  9. it could also be the only option if rangers have detailed minutes of the original meeting discounting explusion/suspension as punishment. the statement above implies that they were considered which means there is a good chance rangers already hold a document saying expulsion/suspension isn't a viable punishment.

bear in mind that the appeal tribunal is only supposed to consider the offences committed by rangers ruled on by the nimmo panel, if they take the court action or fifa into account then it'll be bounced straight back to them again.

    A rubber ball then?

Bouncing (no pun intended) back and forth. Start the season as if nowt happened and it will blow over?
