Amazing time - a good 10 minutes quicker than the six guys dressed as a caterpillar too!

    Ridiculous time from those boys!

What I also couldn’t get my head around was the 2:45 pacer running with that huge flag sticking out his back, handing out gels and water to people around him. Incredible.

Hope @conboyhibs had a good run in Manchester today.

I was 3 hours 25 minutes and 19 seconds and have raised more than £2,000 for ACCORD in the process. Thanks to all those who sponsored me!

    Congratulations, Stu! Brilliant achievement.

I ran 2:45:34 which I'm chuffed with, 13 minute PB. I thought it was a great event/course, definitely recommend if anyone is planning any for next Spring.

White?! Are you planning on meeting someone for lunch?!

I see there's a bit of wind but can't be as bad as some of the stuff I've trained in. Looks like it's the perfect direction to be a pain in the arse for that long five mile stretch.

Safely negotiated my final run today, had convinced myself weeks ago I'd do my ankle (again) in a pothole. That combined with it pishing it down yesterday and then being frosty overnight added to my concern.

Haha we'll see how it actually goes, I will be right at the back of the white pen following the 2:45 pacer.

Yeah hopefully not, the wind the last couple of weeks up here has been atrocious.

Ah well, good to get that out of the way! Get the feet up & enjoy the rest. Looking forward to hearing how you get on! All the best

I'm not too bad, just everything I see is a hazard. Was out a run last night and convinced a dog would trip me up or the kids fishing would land their hook in my mouth.

Last short run tomorrow so hopefully I come through that unscathed. The race is the easy bit, it's all the other stuff like getting there that's the problem!

What wave are you in? I'm bronze. Forecast at the moment isn't too bad - if it can be dry for the hanging around before the start that would be good.

I know how you feel, every tweak or niggle is a career ending injury in my head!

I have a bit of a reduced fartlek today then a couple of short plods Fri/Sat then I'll be good to go.

I'm in white. Just hoping the wind dies down a bit before then, looks like some pretty strong gusts that will be head on for the first half of the race.

I'd agree with you and I've never ever had the same sort of issue with Celtic fans as I do with the blue mob. That's nothing to do with our club's common ancestry it's more to do with what I have witnessed at matches.  The boring political crap and IRA chanting (that was a dead duck at ER by the late 70s) as well as stadium damage has become too much for our club to put up with.

Rangers however are on a whole different level and their behaviour at ER at the weekend barely qualified as human.

While the 'chanting' doesn't seem to be on the same level from Celtic fans, their general behaviour is as bad, if not worse at Easter Road.

Every single home match after they've visited Easter Road there are swathes of damaged seats taped off. I live pretty close to the stadium and the areas surrounding it are always in a far worse state after they've visited than any other support.

You hear tales of stewarding and access issues in the away end after most of their visits but, once again, a lot of this has been brought upon themselves due to the doubling up at turnstiles.

Delighted that the allocations have been cut for all of the reasons stated above & also, what a boost it must be for both sides seeing 4,000 of their lot filling that away end. I doubt results would be wildly different but can you imagine the lift opposing teams in Glasgow would get if there was a visibly large away support?

Sad and frustrating it’s got to this stage. Away days with your mates is already a thing of the past for matches at Celtic Park, Tynecastle and St Mirren to an extent, now add ER to that list.

I’m in no way saying Hibs are not entitled to reduce the allocation nor am I defending any actions by supporters, it’s just a sorry state we’ve got to.

Couldn’t agree more with the sentiment of what you’ve said but the blame almost entirely lands at the feet of your club.

They started the whole allocation cutting that’s commenced in recent years and the behaviour of your fans is the reason other clubs have followed suit.

Hibs have a particular problem with missile throwing that’s probably worse than nearly every other club in Scotland but the club does a good job of banning these idiots and condoning the behaviour. Any racism and poor behaviour by Rangers fans at games is almost entirely lauded by their fellow supporters and the club rarely utters a word of condemnation for any of it.

Hibs really had no choice here & I hope it doesn’t impact the derbies and I hope we sort our own house out before it does.

  7. After looking like we finally had some depth we appear to be thin on the ground again.

Potentially going to be without Boyle, Vente, Obita & Moriah Welsh. Looks like Miller was back in training this morning.

    I'd go:

    Marshall

    Miller Fish Rocky Stevenson

    Triantis Newell Emiliano

    Youan Le Fondre Maolida

    Well, that went well, eh?

Obita was rank rotten from the early stages and could've got a second yellow on more than one occasion before the final, and rather soft, offence.

The 2nd red was harsh but understandable these days. Dive in with two feet like that and the chances are you'll see a red, esp if you're playing against one of the Butt Cheeks.

Monty's subs are baffling. At Tynecastle, he put on a CB when Hibs were/ should have been looking to win the game against a Hearts side that had barely turned up. Wonder if there are other people with interests at other clubs pulling the strings? 🤔

Well of course, in hindsight you would take him off. He wasn't rank rotten either. One of his poorer games, no doubt about it but he had a shaky 5/10 mins when he gave the pen away in the first half. However, as I mentioned previously he's been our best player this season and we lose so much down the left hand side when Stevenson replaces him.

I can't disagree with NM's subs being strange, at times but the one you've mentioned isn't one of those times. Emiliano was knackered when he came off against Hearts and with Levitt on in place of Moriah-Welsh meant Triantis was our option to bring balance back to the midfield 3.

Is your inference that someone on the board would want us to substitute on a Sunderland loanee for a Bournemouth one? I thought the Hearts fans suggestion about the new investment was that we would HAVE to play Bournemouth players? Not sure you've thought that one through.

Bushiri is the biggest fucking moron in Scottish football and that's some going.

He's also a horrifically shite footballer. The fact he manages to STILL regularly get a game and let Hibs down is fantastic entertainment for the neutral. Shite laugh for Hibs fans.

    What are you on about?

He played very well this evening and has done since his return. Bizarre.

Also, who's taking a full bottle opener with a corkscrew to the fitba? Is it for your bottle of Châteauneuf-du-Pape on the corteo?

Supposedly a group of Marseille ultras were given tickets by 'Block 7' for the game last night so would make perfect sense for it to be one of them!

Think we can both agree this account is run by an idiot.

People that get hardons for bits of card getting held aloft are strange. Choreography made me laugh, too. Getting visions of fans in the east concourse getting berated through a megaphone by some sort of dance instructor.

  12. It's funny, I don't actually think Boyle has ever been all that quick over a long distance, it's just his initial acceleration is quicker than most which is usually enough to take you away from players on a football pitch. He also had the issue of trying to control a bouncing ball last night while Devlin and whoever else it was were allowed to catch him up.

Outside of that, it was his worst performance since returning from the Asia Cup.

If Marcondes is a sign of the level of player we can expect from this deal with the Knights then I’m very excited for the summer window.

I wonder if it's at all possible to keep him and/or Maolida. Both are so technically superior to anything else in the league outside of the top 2.

  14. Frustrating night. Obviously teams go through good and bad spells of form but based on the three games against us it truly beggars belief that Hearts are so far clear in third. They’re really not good with the exception of Kent and Shankland.

Obita was his usual excellent self and Marcondes/Maolida were very good in spells. Boyle was awful. Rocky miles better than Fish.

As others have mentioned, it mightn’t be great but it isn’t Aberdeen.
