  1. With the Germans and Dutch having no particular liking for one and other ... does that mean that Orange will get banned at Ibrox if they are the winning bidder?
  2. 18 minutes and 72 minutes... pretty much the timings that most rangers supporters get to their seats for start of the game... and leave their seats for the end of the game. They'd probably have loved to have gone for 16 and 90 minutes, but it would look rather lame at full time lol
  3. It's in Govan... probably less than the £1 it cost Whyte for his shares. Seriously though, not very much I would hazard given the frontage of the main stand is listed and needs to be retained, that and it's not exactly situated in a prime development location.
  4. Any club that is at risk at the moment really needs to pull the finger out and get in admin before Rangers even get close to coming out of it .... because one thing that you can say with a fair degree of certainty is that the powers that be will pull the rug away and stop the so called diddy clubs from behaving this way again.
  5. I'd have thought it would be a similar scenario to a stolen car being sold on... The police/insurers would retrieve the asset from the person now in possession of it illegaly, and the person who bought it (assisted by police) would seek to the purchase price from those who sold it. In the Rangers scenario that would mean the club holding onto the tickets... with Craig Whyte being on the spike for the money given it was a deal done prior to his takover. However retrieving the money could get murky as Craig Whyte could legitimately say that £18m of it is sitting in the bank accounts of Lloyds and may seek to freeze the funds there. That could result in Lloyds responding by saying that the £18m is still very much Rangers debt.
  6. I actually think that this is pretty scary news for Rangers that the players are accepting a deferral of wages till the summer. The debt in real terms is increasing as the players will want the money sometime, and/or the money potentially recouped at a later date is going to be less as players look for an extra cut. The most efficient way would have surely been for the administrator to cull the playing staff with inital redundancies for those with larger wages and no ongoing value (i.e. contracts expiring in the summer), and then maybe look at deferrals for smaller numbers. I actually think that this is just a stay of execution before the worst really kicks in next season, assuming they make it there, when income is going to be lower again as there is no Euro games and less revenue from tickets (unless someone finally gets to the bottom of Ticketus and finds a loophole). And all this is before any change/penalties forced upon them by the Band of 10/SPL/SFA/Uefa.
  7. Anyone checked whether Darren Mackie has been reading this thread, or is he waiting for the film to come out?
  8. I always thought that one of the key roles of the administrator was to stop the club incurring further losses. Surely that means finding a way to balance the books now.
  9. Can't see that somehow... can you see the fat feckers marching round the streets in the middle of winter when it's cold and wet it down with their Union Jacks and Buckfast, fair weather marchers the lot of them... lol. Although there will be exceptions to that rule in Airdrie and surrounding areas, and parts of Ayrshire!!!
  10. I'd have thought that would be the answer too... but let's be honest rationale thought and logic don't apply when it comes to the football governing bodies in Scotland and their handling of the old firm. If they were to stick with this I'd be very worried about the new owner buying the licence of an existing club.... who is up for sale at the moment?? Oh feck!!!
