  1. Come Sunday afternoon it will be more than 5 months since Rovers scored a goal in front of the South Stand. That's a shocking statistic. My only hope for Sunday is that Callachan and Thompson are finally dropped and that Craig Barr and Ross Matthews are fit enough to play there. I believe the Novar is opening earlier than normal so might just head there but I'm not going to Stark's because of the clowns in charge. Had enough, simple as that. Season ticket next year? Not a chance.
  2. Rovers v Dumbarton tickets half price at Kingdom FM. 35 left - link. Bit ironic that Vaughan is at the front of the picture.
  3. Guess who's in the SPFL team of the week (apart from Ryan McCord) - link.
  4. If you can't see the picture above please let me know. Had problems recently posting from Twitter.
  5. SIGNING NEWS: We're delighted to announce our second signing of the week, talented local midfielder, Kyle Bell. Welcome to The Rovers Kyle!
  6. SIGNING NEWS: Welcome to The Rovers Fionn McLeod Kay! Fionn,17, hails from Kirkcaldy and has signed as a Modern Apprentice until summer 2018
  7. On the board. She puts a fair amount into Rovers so she can say what she likes. Also, there are stories going around that Rovers are run by 'a board within a board' and that Drysdale makes decisions that are not collective. Allegedly.
  8. Bates deal would have been up in May 2017. Given how the board have signed up Callachan. Matthews and Vaughan recently they must have offered the same to Bates. Guess he turned it down.
  9. "There will be quite a lot more player news in coming days, hopefully, as we continue to build for next season and beyond. All decisions taken are for the long term benefit of the club and the players concerned, and I am sure the vast majority of supporters will accept this and understand what we are trying to do here." And yet we sign Scott Roberts, who is a bench warmer at best and who will surely be released at the end of the season. A player like Roberts doesn't add to the strength of the pool because he is simply not good enough. The only player news in the coming days of any interest would be extensions to the contracts of M'Voto, Benedictus and possibly McHattie. and then we could really start to build for next season with Cuthbert, Callachan, Matthews, Stewart and Bobby Barr already signed. But I'm struggling to think of anyone else currently at the club who'd be an asset next season. Anyway, what does it matter because once they're signed, if they're any good the board will sell said player for peanuts and dress it up as a major success. It looks as if the board are frightened to ask a club for a decent transfer fee in case it scares the interested party away. But that's exactly what supporters want the board to do - grow a pair, stand up and tell them to pay the money or f**k off. The board would be immensely popular if they'd only do just that.
  10. Apparently Eric Drysdale is now a full time employee at Stark's Park having retired from the banking profession. Also told that he is now no longer on a £12000 retainer but is paid a substantial sum per annum as Chief Executive. You'd think the decision making would be better but so many mistakes are being made at board level that you have to wonder how the board operates. It's just not possible for eight directors to all agree to let a player go to Rangers for nothing. Two or three of them must have stood up and objected; of course, maybe there was no board meeting and one person made the decision all by himself.
  11. Well said. Absolute c***s running our club. Soul destroying.
  12. Since the board has been moaning for months now about getting fans to contribute to the development fund, you'd have to think that every penny of the transfer fee will go to that. Given our board's previous history in selling players prepare to be totally disappointed with the fee (if the figure is ever released.) When the board has something to hide they usually stay very quiet. We still haven't heard what we got for Toshney.
  13. I'm hoping M'Voto is fit and if Barr has no reaction I'd play him in midfield. Breaking up the Callachan - Thompson partnership is the way forward.
  14. On PR/social media, just to point out that while I agree it is sadly lacking, Rovers match day playlist has been on Spotify since about August 2016. See randompenfriend on Spotify if you wish to check it out. Dunfermline, since Rovers were compared to it, is still not up and running and Hearts only got theirs going last week. But I agree, we could and should be doing a whole lot more.
  15. Born in Greenock. He has a deal with East Kilbride that he can go if a full time offer comes in. Daily Record reliability.
