  1. I thought if Triple H does come back on Sunday, it will be to feud with Sheamus rather than the Nexus. Hunter will be out to avenge his Backlash loss to Sheamus asap!
  2. I think this could be a ploy by Joe to get himself fired. He is probably the worst booked wrestler in TNA despite being talented and over. He should go out in a blaze of glory like Awesome Kong did! Maybe put Russo in a Coquina Clutch? I don't know how Joe would get in on in the WWE if he went there. He would probably get sent to work in FCW for a year and then debut on TV as a savage barefoot Samoan.
  3. This was the first ever PPV I stayed up to watch live. It was on Channel 4 and had adverts during it! There is a cracking tables match with the Hardys and Dudleys and and Intercontinental triple threat with Jericho, Chyna and Bob Holly. Also there is the best swimsuit contest of all time featuring Mae Young! Poor Taka, IIRC he was pretty badly injured from that fall and was out for quite a long time because of it.
  4. This is a travesty, he should be in the top 10 at least for that moustache promo alone!
  5. Just thought I would bump this thread for the benefit of Sandy.
  6. TNA shouldn't consider signing any of those until they get rid of a hell of a lot of the dead weight on their roster. I think Jimmy Yang and Shelton Benjamin would be better off in the indies, as I they could do really well at somwhere like ROH or DGUSA where their talents could be better utilised than they would be in TNA.
  7. Here's a pic of Saturns wedding, sadly not to Moppy. He's piled on the pounds since he was last on telly!
  8. I wonder what Roadkill is doing these days that makes him so much money he can turn down the opportunity to work a PPV? I wonder if Justin Credible can be tempted out of Olive Garden for a day to work the PPV, or Perry Saturn out of the samill?
  9. With all the rumours saying that Hogan and Bischoff are done with TNA soon when their contracts are up. I wonder if they go, will all the others who joined at the same time - Flair, Hardy, RVD, OJ, Anderson etc - will all leave? As I imagine they all signed 1 year contracts as well. Of those 5 I think only RVD and Anderson would be missed. I fear that unless TNA undergoes a complete overhaul they won't be around much longer. Esprecially due the fact they are getting less than 10,000 buys per PPV and also the massive roster they have, many of whom rarely get much TV time. I wonder how much longer Panda Energy will be willing to prop up TNA financially? Would bringing Paul Heyman and giving him 100% creative control be the answer?
  10. You are probably right, but the inner mark within me still likes to suspend my disbelief a little when watching wrestling. If it wasn't the hope for an exciting or surprising moment then there would be little point in me staying up until stupid o'clock on a Sunday night watching grown men pretend to fight each other.
  11. That was a decent PPV IMO, much better that Over the Limit and Fatal 4 Way. Both MITB matches were good, with the wrong man winning the first but the right man winning the second. Rey vs Swagger was good and the surprise cash in was entertaining. I found Cena vs Sheamus boring, and the crowd was dead, but it was more angle advancement than anything else. The tag and 2 divas matches were ok bouts, but largely forgettable.
  12. These two have no in ring chemistry. Hopefully Barrett and co show up soon to put an end to this.
  13. Come on Sheamus, do this for the good side of the Atlantic!
  14. I know, but there is still loads of time for something to happen, even if this one goes 15-20 mins.
  15. Main event about to start with 45 mins of the PPV still to run. Surely there are still Miz/Nexus related shenanigans to come?
  16. Good call from the WWE to give Miz the MITB. Entirely deserving since he has improved constantly since his debut and has the potential to be a main eventer for many years to come IMO. I for one am looking forward to the era of Mike Mizanin!
  17. The Miz wins because he is The Miz and he's awesome!
  18. He is such an awful face. His promo on Raw with DiBiase this week was cringeworthy. Go Maryse!
  19. This match could make Evan Bourne into a star.
  20. I hope not, I'd rather see someone hold the case for a long time, like Edge in 05/06. It would be a good way of building up someone who hasn't had the title before. I'm sure we'll have some Nexusference before the night is out though.
  21. Can Kane hold onto the belt longer than he did 12 years ago? Was Reys second title reign the worst of all time? So many questions!
  22. And we have a new World Heavyweight Champion!
