  1. He does have his own department behind the scenes, worldwide talent development or something along those lines. He was responsible for bringing in Sin Cara and Karma. The Cruiserweight division was a hell of a lot better than the Hardcore division, the only entertaining thing in the Hardcore division was Crash Holly and the 24/7 rule. The current Divas division is utter dross, with the exeception of Beth and Natalya.
  2. 11/12 - Hamilton, Morton, Elgin, Queens Park. 10/11 - Dundee Utd, Dunfermline, St Mirren, Dundee, Falrirk, Livingston, Partick , QoS, Raith, Cowdenbeath, Forfar, Stirling 09/10 - Celtic, Hibs, ICT, Ayr, Airdrie, Alloa, Berwick, Montrose 08/09 - St Johnstone, Dumbarton, Clyde 07/08 - Brechin, Peterhead 06/07 - Albion, East Fife, Stranraer 03/04 - East Stirling 02/03 - Hearts, Arbroath 01/02 - Rangers 99/00 - Stenhousemuir 61/62 - Kilmarnock Never - Aberdeen, Annan, Motherwell
  3. I think SOL has promised to quit watching WWE more times than Ric Flair has retired.
  4. Cheers. That's cheaper than I thought it might be. I might treat myself to a Broski shirt as well!
  5. What is the damage for shipping one of those Punk t-shirts? I was thinking of ordering one but I don't want to pay over the odds for it.
  6. This Saturday lunchtime 75% of the ICT support will be wishing they were sat in the South stand of the Caledonian stadium. How embarrassing.
  7. New Years Revolution 2006 was the first WWE event I had watched since Wrestlemania 18 in 2002 and without knowing anything beforehand about most of the wrestlers on the show, I assumed Masters was one of the top guys in the company. His ring skills weren't the best but he had a good gimmick, a great look and his old entrance and music were awesome! I think he was ruined after DX ripped the piss out of him on TV after his return from a 'roids suspension. I don't really know why I continued watching WWE after a PPV featuring Shelton Benjamin's momma and an 11 minute Diva's Bras and Panties match that was won by Ashley Massaro.
  8. Just finished all the achievements for Create. It's a fun puzzle game by EA, very similar to the old Professor Tim games.
  9. I don't think Melina and Gail helped themselves after their childish behaviour in the Battle Royal on Monday night. I have been very impressed by Masters whenever I seen him on Superstars, he had greatly improved in the ring from his first WWE stint and he always seemed to get a decent pop from the crowd. He could be a big star in TNA if they used him right. That is a big if when TNA are concerned though! I could see TNA taking on all these released folk, except for DH Smith as he was a bland waste of space.
  10. I think PWI still uses kayfabe for the 500, therefore Miz, Edge and Cena would make perfect sense in the top three. R-Truth, Cara and Kingston in the top 10 would be a nonsense though, kayfabe or not. I used to love getting the kayfabe magazines when I was wee, especially the old WWF magazine where they would interview the likes of Goldust and Gangrel completely in character!
  11. Great match at the end there, although it has made Rey look very weak again. I think they have gone far too soon with the Punk return, should have kept him off WWE TV for another week or two at least. Loving the entrance music though, I want to go and play GTA San Andreas again now! *edit. I just noticed that Punk tweeted during Raw saying that he is on holiday in Hawaii!
  12. Some people seem to think it it the late 80's with their nonsense about wrestlers not being big or muscular enough to be a credible champion. Using that logic Bret Hart or Shawn Michaels should never have held championships in the era of Yokozuna, Diesel, Sid, Luger etc. Guys like Miz, Christian, Punk, Mysterio, Jericho and Ziggler have been part of the best matches and angles in recent years despite none of them fitting the typical mould of a WWE 'big man' and I have no issue whatsoever with any of them being former world champs and being pushed to the top of the card. Thankfully the era of Wellness has largely put an end to the era of smaller wrestlers having to roid up to get noticed. Towards the end of their lives Eddie Guerrero and Benoit had barely recognisable physiques and there is little doubt that they wouldn't have reveived their pushes in 2004 if they hadn't bulked up.
  13. Superb, cheers for that. I had seen the lists tab, but hadn't clocked on what it was for! I've still got a lot to learn about twitter as I've only just figured out what the '#' and 'RT' in tweets mean.
  14. I started using Twitter a few weeks back after years of cynicism, assuming it was just an outlet for pompous wankers like Piers Morgan and Stephen Fry to massage their egos. I joined because a lot of people were saying it was a good way to get news about County, especially since our official website isn't exactly the best for up to date news! I have been pleasantly surprised by how useful it is as a news feed, especially when the phone hacking scandal was in full swing. My only issue is that I find hard to keep up with the timeline as I now follow about 80 pages and it is nearly impossible to keep track of what everyone is saying, especially prolific tweeters such as Laura Kuennsberg who seemed to be firing off about 10 tweets a minute for the past few weeks! She has left the BBC now, so my feed is a bit quieter today.
  15. The 'sport are troops!!!' brigade are out in full force in their outrage at Amy WInehouse.
  16. I was a huge WCW mark back in the day, so I was thoroughly depressed by the way all the WCW wrestlers were jobbed out in the Invasion angle, meaning that no one took them as a serious threat. DDP was the one of the ones treated worst, he was one of the most over guys in WCW but he was made out to be a jobber in his awful feud with the Undertaker and was quickly at European Championship level with his moticvational coach gimmick. If Vince wanted to make money instead of making WCW/ECW look weak, the he could have splashed the cash and bought out the contracts of Goldberg, Hogan, Flair, Nash, Hall, Steiner, Mysterio etc in 2001 and booked them much stronger than the did with the Alliance. The final match of the Invasion angle at Survivor Series 2001 is still one of my all time favourites, but the Alliance team only had RVD and Booker T who were actual ECW/WCW guys.
  17. I'm thinking Vince vs HHH at Mania next year for control of the WWE? It would be great to have another McMahon-Helmsley era with Hunter and Steph heeling it up for the next few months and Cena leading the faces against them. There is also a dirtsheet rumour that Rey is in line for a big push leading up to him winning the WWE title at Summerslam in LA, with Raw taking place in San Diego the night after. I have no problem with this as long as they book him much stronger as a champ compared to his previous reigns when he was constantly jobbed out.
  18. You would have thought the club would have went out their way to ensure the new Rossco wasn't a total bellend this time.
  19. We have been trolled by Leeds supporters. It is a dark, dark day in the proud history of Ross County.
  20. I have just read through this thread and have finally been inspired to stop being such a fat b*****d after about a decade. I am 6'2 and about 18 stone (it could be even more since I have been too ashamed to weigh myself for a long time! ) My main weaknesses are junk food, lager and general laziness. I have played five a side most weeks for the last 7 years but have become increasingly immobile due to creaking knees most probably caused by my fatness. I am going to start by walking a few miles a day and hopefully progressing onto jogging or cycling. I think I'll invest in one of those kettlebells as well in an attempt to lose my C cups. I think my main problem will be cutting out the utter shite I eat. I am a fairly terrible cook and have a Freaky Eaters-esque aversion to many fruit and vegetables. I also tend to sink about 7-8 pints of lager every Saturday which obviously isn't doing me much good, apart from making 4/10's appear like 8/10's. I won't say I'm cutting out alcohol completely from my life but I will at least try and drink more shorts instead of beer! I can confirm the Jailender is looking great Someone pointed him out to me at the Clach friendly last week and I barely recognised him. Well done (formerly) big man!
  21. It's been reported that there are no injuries from last night apart from a few minor bumps for Del Rio. There was some great selling last night then! At one point I was convinced that Miz, Bryan, Sin Cara, Big Show and Cena were all legit hurt, especially when It looked like Miz ruined his kneecap.
  22. Sin Cara would have been punted long before now if he wasn't Triple H's pet project. I think the guy should swallow his pride and volunteer to train at FCW for a while so can learn some aspects of working 'WWE style'.
  23. At most Cena will be gone for about 4 weeks or so to let his injuries heel up a bit. I think it will be Cena vs Vince at Summerslam. I'm not sure what will happen with the WWE title if Punk really has gone though.
