  1. Aye... The bookies know their stuff though. We're probably just a couple of morons and it'll be a Khabib sub 3 minutes in or something.
  2. Missed that man sorry. I had a small (ish) bet on McGregor in the 4th. I actually see the first round being pretty cagey. For all the talk, both these guys know how dangerous the other is. I think Khabib will probably dominate rounds 2 and 3 and then I can see Conor getting a bit of a second wind in round 4 and realising he's gotta knock him out. I mean... It could be a domination either way but Conor kept on mentioning 'war' and 'going to war' in the build up. My guess is he's taken note of the fact he's quit when facing trouble before and will be more determined this time. So... I thought 22/1 for him in the 4th was worth a punt. It could last ten seconds or Khabib could literally maul him and change his life permanently. The stakes are so high and it's a monumentally difficult fight to call. But, that's what's so exciting.
  3. Who ye got, bananansnananananana?
  4. So fucking buzzing for this it's not even funny.
  5. I am fucking hyped. They used a cool promo at the weigh ins yesterday (music was fantastic) I can't find but this one with John Malkovich of all people should get you in the mood alright
  6. That 'Khabib hasn't fought anybody' narrative died when he made both Michael Johnson and Edson Barboza look like children. He's a certified monster at this point. Not to mention RDA who was on a 5 fight winning streak (and went on another 5 fight winning streak after) whom he also made look like a scared child. Conor has a great resume, sure. But Khabib closed that gap in the last year or two. I'm picking Conor to win but I'm under absolutely no illusions about how damn good that Dagestani is. He could quite literally be the greatest fighter alive and if he carries on doing what he has to another 2 or 3 top lightweights (after mauling Conor, hypothetically) then he'll pretty much be the greatest fighter to ever live. That said, rather strangely considering he's only had one fight at 155lb in the UFC, Conor (Poirier, Diaz, Alvarez) has more wins over top 10 lightweights than anyone else in the division.
  7. In episode 3... (Wire reference/spoiler)
  8. I don't think I understood what I was watching if that's a correct result.
  9. That's twice now GGG has (marginally) beat Canelo imo. Hope he gets his just rewards from the judges.
  10. This is just a straight up excellent contest. Really enjoying this.
  11. Canelo pressuring him appears to be quite the smart move. Interesting.
  12. I'm a total boxing noob but I gotta say I'm looking forward to this. Kinda want Canelo to knock him oot just for a laugh.
  13. Yes! You fucking legend. It's fucking Abraham Lincoln.
  14. Tyron Woodley slept him with an overhand right.
  15. Who does Zabit look like btw? I've been racking my brain. I keep thinking of Jafar from Alladin but I'm worried I'm just a racist moron. He looks like *someone* though eh? Who is it?! (Mousasi 2.0?)
  16. See when Camacho did the big sorta Incredible Hulk screaming thing I was totally on board and was like 'AYE GAW CAMACHO!' And then like 10 seconds later he got flatlined. Lol. Kinda funny really.
  17. I keep looking at Karolina by decision @ 5/1. Andrade is the rightful favourite but Karolina is fucking good and was the last person to beat Rose. Could really see Karolina getting a decision with her muay thai and clinch work.
  18. Interesting. I know it's amazing how they can recover after the weigh ins that's why it was surprising that Woodley still seemed off at the ceremonial weigh ins. I'm probably just over analysing it but I often think the weigh ins are quite telling.
  19. Agreed. It's just the weight cuts can often be quite telling when it comes to fight night. Never seen Woodley like that. The way I saw it, Till (an actual 185lber) beat a 155lber at the end of his career who went on to lose a comfortable decision to Leon Edwards. Who was also a great style match up for him. Then he lost 4 rounds to 1 against Wonderboy and was gifted a decision. Now he's facing Woodley. This is a level above Till imo. But, Woodley did not look right there. I've went from thinking Tyron was 75% to win this fight to thinking Till might just do it.
  20. Woodley doesn't seem right. His eyes looked funny at the face off earlier in the week and even at the ceremonial weigh ins there he looked like the lights were bothering his eyes. I was 100% thinking Woodley was gonna knock him out early but something seemed really off there. I'm maybe reading too much into it though so f**k knows.
  21. I once argued in this thread that Mickey Gall was actually smart because despite being an obvious moron he talked his way into some big fights but I'd just like to take ownership of that statement and apologise for it. What a spoon.
