  1. Spurs have posted the highlights. Enjoy. There are extended highlights on their YouTube which aren't embedable: https://youtu.be/Y8VAh4VkZwU
  2. I clearly didn't watch this but out of curiosity how did the bold Aston get on in the 2nd half? It was a laugh to see the stats show up on the Sky Scores app earlier. It's fair to say we used the squad from the looks of things.
  3. Saw it was 3-0 at H/T. Pleasantly surprised to check back and find it was only 4 in the end tbh. In other news, I picked up the new top this morning and it's lovely. Nice fit anaw. Listening to Hammell...have we been down there all week then?
  4. I think a version of the latter is more likely but I suppose it's worth bearing in mind that we had a chat with Anderlecht about playing them in Greece as well so we've clearly been open to looking at our options for bounce games against different opposition - which you'd hope would be the case given our squad has had a fortnight holiday and was pumped 4-1 by St Johnstone on Saturday (albeit I've no idea what our team looked like). Clearly we fucking need the minutes. In a bounce game? I don't see why not. I'm pretty sure Livi had a Hibs player playing as a trialist in their game the other day. It's only actual games he wouldn't be eligible for.
  5. Aye, I'm all for getting big Higdon involved. Seems like a good laugh. The whole thing is quite funny tbh. I've clocked a few Spurs-y Twitter accounts listing their strongest possible/probable line-up: Tottenham Starting XI Prediction vs Motherwell Forster; Sanchez, Lenglet, Tanganga; Emerson, Skipp, Bissouma, White, Sessegnon; Kulusevski, Bryan Big Indie Sleaze vibes from Bryan Gil btw.
  6. 16+ minute interview with Hammell. Haud the bus...Spittal's was taken to hospital during the Hibs game and has been playing with cracked ribs?!
  7. Pretty much, aye. I was reading an article about him just there and it mentioned that Bevis is injured, then I remembered a November photo dump Mugabi posted on his IG where his knee looked to be in a brace with a pair of crutches. I know the Blaney story has been around for a while but if Mugabi's injured that basically leaves us with 2 centre backs.
  8. I see @rowsdower and @Busta Nut have already answered but we can sign free agents if they were without a club when the window shut. Blaney was still with Sligo at that point. As Busta says we can sign him just now but we can't register him until the window opens on January 1st.
  9. You've not missed it. We've just not announced it. The Record are saying it's due to be completed this week and I noticed that the Sligo manager confirmed that Blaney's signing for us at a fans forum.
  10. As @Swello mentioned in the strips thread our bit of spiel has it as a nod to the 25th anniversary of our Dortmund homage kit (which various posters on here have been hassling Burrows about on Twitter for ages. Me included.) M'lord. Also, Shivute...
  11. Aye. I take @Busta Nut's point in that the games are cinematic and there's a story arc so, in that respect - given the games are like interactive films in themselves, do we really need this? Tbh, based on the trailers I've seen so far I'm into it. It looks great aesthetically, it's got a strong cast. It's HBO. If nothing else it's making me want to re-visit the games just now.
  12. I take it this was in the bounce game we were playing against St Johnstone yesterday? He's not listed on the Development Team page on the official but having done a quick Google search it seems he's been playing full back with the u18s. https://www.afc.co.uk/report_nostats/u18s-share-the-spoils-with-well/ https://www.dundeeunitedfc.co.uk/news/7536/MATCH-REPORT--MOTHERWELL-TAKE-SPOILS-AS-YOUNG-TERROS-PUNISHED-FOR-INDIVIDUAL-ERRORS.html
  13. New trailer just 'dropped'.
  14. You say that, but then you realise that of Hammell's 4 signings so far 3 have been former players (McKinstry, Moult, Aarons) and 2 of those were known sicknotes (Moult and Aarons). That's not a ding on Hammell as he's been dealt a fairly tough hand given we emptied Alexander 2 days before our opening game and with a month of the window left. Given how thin our squad is it feels like January could just be about getting in a few "easy" deals sorted rather than anything modern or progressive. Tbh, I'm still kind of amazed we weren't in for Murphy in the summer - who knows, maybe we were and he just didn't fancy it.
  15. Given the number of times we've apparently tried to sign him previously I half-wondered whether we might be interested in taking MOH off your hands given we play with wingers now and he seems to have been permanently on your bench. With Joey Efford out for the foreseeable and Rolando Aarons having already been packed off back to Huddersfield because he's broken our squad is wildly thin. On a similar point Jamie Murphy's deal with you guys is up at the end of the season, right? Has he been starting much?
  16. Ha! The video has Samaire Armstrong in it. It's content like this that makes this thread unrivalled lads.
  17. In Jennings case it was Wayne Rooney's Da' and uncle. https://www.theguardian.com/football/2011/oct/06/motherwell-steve-jennings-arrested-inquiry?CMP=gu_com Other than the suspension for the red card I don't remember him being subject to any SFA ban. He was arrested 6th October 2011 and made 37 appearances for us in total that season. https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/steve-jennings/leistungsdaten/spieler/46115/plus/0?saison=2011 In fact here's his playing time from the date of arrest: Fwiw: this was his playing time after the game he was sent off.
  18. Relatively speaking it doesn't even have to be that much money. It was over 10 years ago but the bet involved with the Steve Jennings case when he was playing for us (also against Hearts funnily enough) was apparently £500 according to The Guardian's golf correspondent. https://www.theguardian.com/football/2010/dec/15/motherwell-red-card-bet Although this is lifted from the Daily Heil further down the line when Jennings was actually arrested (f**k linking to them): That fixture was 14th December 2010, the story in the Guardian ran the next day on the 15th. Jennings was arrested 6th October 2011 and cleared 20th April 2012. It feels like it's easy for bookies to flag "suspicious patterns" but I'd imagine it's a much higher bar to clear to prove any sort of conspiracy.
  19. Of those who are out on loan Johnston's probably the only one who'd be in line for a recall I'd have thought. Especially since the media team have been doing a couple of bits of #content around him. Here's who's out on loan and the level they've been playing at: Fox - already had his loan cancelled Johnston - 9 league appearances (Championship), 1 Challenge Cup Devine - 6 league appearances (League 1), 1 Challenge Cup Wilson - 7 league appearances (League 2), 1 Challenge Cup Dunachie - 7 league appearances (Lowland League), 2 Scottish Cup, 1 Challenge Cup Hunter - 4 league appearances (Lowland League), 1 Challenge Cup Mahon - 4 league appearances (League 1), 1 Challenge Cup O'Donnell - 1 league appearance (League 2)
