  1. The BoD stated in the last accounts their aim is always for us to be promoted, a tough ask but that's what they want to do without breaking the bank. Only 2 ways of that happening if you ask me, either they fund it themselves (unlikely and not sustainable), or the good people of Dumfries and surrounding area get out and watch them, increased ST and matchday income (unlikely as it's been donkey's years since we've had large crowds). I see the attempts that are made to engage with the local community, but is there more that could be done?
  2. At some point we have to cut free from the heroes of yesterday. With second tier status assured for another season why not now? Maybe the shadow of Dobbie wasn't comaptible with what AJ and Clark want to do? We don't know. Is AJ the best man for the job? That's something else we don't know, but a 2 year deal offers him and the club an element of stability and at least allows him to build his own squad. There are no excuses now, there is no where to hide as he knows the budget and signed up for it. Fingers crossed we have a 2021/22 that mirrored January 2021.
  3. So it's a total rebuild job, again. I am hoping, not sure with what basis, that having AJ and Clark pinned down for 12 months will demonstrate some stability and perhaps make Palmerston park an attractive prospect for next season.
  4. May have missed it earlier, how many have we got signed on for next season or is it another Total Rebuild, the sequal?
  5. Thanks to Coivd-19, being an exile, I've been able to watch plenty of games this season. Considering the shambles of the previous season, the scramble to pull a squad together, the outlook of certain relegation when Santa popped by, I think the Club have done not too bad. It's such a shame that we faltered as the season drew to a finale, but all in all I'd have swapped my Christmas presents for this outcome. With the stability of having AJ and Clark and our tier 2 status secured, hopefully it'll allow us to build a squad ahead of preseason that will be competitive from season opening.
  6. Last time on the Terregles Street end was a game against Forfar in which we won 2-0. Memories include the famous Dunfermline game of '86 when they we shoe'd out the covered end at half time and marched over the pitch.
  7. If they only had 20 or 30 against then it shouldn't have taken too long to acknowledge their correspondence. I still await my reply.
  8. That statement is a load of pish totally contradicting itself throughout. Surrender monkeys.
  9. I live away, but when I'm 'home' I won't be through the gates, I sure as hell won't be buying any merchandise. Exactly what I feared, yet sadly not unexpected.
  10. Truly ashamed, embarassed, and fookin raging doesn't even begin to cover it. QOS Board statement From the Board of Directors ... Today QOS attended the SFL meeting in Glasgow to vote on Rangers Newco being allowed into Scottish League Division 1. As I am sure you are now aware the vote was 25 against and 5 for, therefore Rangers Newco will enter Scottish League Division 3. The board of QOS considered all options open to them but always ensuring that the best interests of the club and Scottish football in general would be best served. Before casting our vote we listened to final positions from SFA and Rangers Newco and decided that it was in the best interests of all to vote in favour of Rangers Newco entering Scottish League Division 1, which also included the “heads of terms” for the re structure of Scottish football. Further information about the reasoning behind this decision will be given in due course. This was not a decision taken lightly by the board and one which they felt best protected their shareholders and the club. As you will see in the soon to be published accounts, we for the first time in a number of years will show a profit which is a fantastic turnaround from where we were. We could have taken the view to vote no and just followed others but we voted with the clubs interests at heart. Now the decision is in favour of not allowing Rangers Newco into Scottish League Division 1 we will support the democratic decision of the other member clubs. We await a response from the SFA to today’s decision. Board of Directors QOS
  11. Like you I am pleased, and looking at 25-5, for no good reason I think we jumped in to bed with 24 other SFL clubs.
  12. As it stands I fully expect later today I will be looking to transfer my support to a football club that has integrity, bollox, a spine, isn't a run by those lacking any sense and actually care about their supporters. There are probably 24 teams out there eligible, Stranraer are disqualified for being from Stranraer, so let me know who wants another fan.
  13. Truly depressing article. Should know by around 4pm that 30+ years has been wasted away on the decision of a bunch of spineless sympathisers. I hope to be proved wrong.
  14. I'm embarrassed by the silence from Dumfries. I hope and pray they say "no" but I'm not so sure.
  15. Even if we did come out and say 'No' now, we'd be late to the dance as 17 others have had the balls and integrity to say 'No'. It's fookin shameful, it really really is. And yes that 'blog' is cringe-worthy.
  16. At this precise moment in time due to the silence from Palmerston I find myself in a strange position of having less trust in the current board than I ever did during the dark days of Wullie H. That is a scandal. I'm spending a lot of time in the big Rangers thread, as this whole subject and the outcome dictates where my Scottish football days are heading, and it saddens me that 17 of our SFL colleagues can come out and say 'No' yet our BoD cower away and say nothing. Still time to make it right, but now that there seems to be a clear 17 clubs against the proposals we'd appear to be jumping on the bandwagon. It's not a hard decision, but somehow our lot have made a right arse of it.
  17. Don't think Billy Hewitson is (I stand to be corrected) but the Commercial Director, Mark Robertson, is one of 'the peepul'. I am truly dismayed and embarrassed that Stranraer and Annan have made their stances clear (in the right camp as well) and we are shuffling in the background hoping beyond hope they don't make public who surrendered. I contacted Mr Robertson and laying out my concerns, and I have received nothing in return, not an acknowledgement receipt nothing. Well nothing is what they will get from me if they go with Regan et al.
  18. I think our Board are booked in for a back, sack & crack followed by spray tan so they look nice when surrendering their and our clubs arseholes to Regan, Doncaster and Sevco.
  19. Afraid I can't get into pre-season at all just now. Does anyone have an inkling as to what our BoD will do regards the vote. I've emailed the Club and had heehaw response. I seriously believe they are going to vote in favour and 30+ years of supporting and following my team will be ended
  20. It's got to be a 'No' vote to admission full stop. It's the only way to bring this sorry saga to a conclusion. There will be a couple of spin-off series when Regan and the Cockwomble are turfed out, but for the love of all that is Scottish football this must end now.
  21. Just emailed Queens, the silence is sickening, especially when Annan and fookin Stranraer are out there already. 1980/1981 season, 1985/1986 season, Challenge Cup Final 1997, 2001/2002 season, Challenge Cup win 2002/2003, a decade of first division football, Scottish Cup run 2008 and UEFA Cup 2008/2009 all for nothing if the Board of Directors vote 'YES'.
