  1. Weather set fair for tomorrow night. I’ve not seen the team this season. I will go with an open mind. Some reports are positive but the results don’t show that. Still I’m looking forward to the game. We are where we are.

On Thursday Airdrie were 4/9 which was printing money.

checked last night and they were down to 1/6.
A short term mistake by the bookies

Aye. They were 6/5 against Ht/ft. 12 hours later 4/6 A few people I know took advantage.

Fair play to Donald - he's got you leaping to his defence while charging you £13 to watch an under 20's team take on a side that can only muster a squad of 13, in a game your manager has told you he knows he'll lose but he doesn't give a f**k. What a bunch of mugs.

You’re trying far too hard. If you’re going to troll you need some intelligence. I would suggest contracting it out. Good luck.

Too early to press the panic button. Still a long time to go in the transfer window and pre season means nothing except getting fit.
If going by budgets then Cowden must surely have 1 of the bigger budgets in the league, so can’t have any complaints there.
With the parachute payment, play off final gate and the league cup groups this season this is as good as it gets.
Can’t compete this season then it ain’t going to get any easier.
Pretty unlikely to get success signing an entire new team of youngsters so as Andy says definitely need a few who have played games in LL or above.
    Early days yet though.

I’m afraid my panic button has been pressed. We’re not in any position to play Airdrie on Saturday. Nowhere near it.

  5. I was hoping we could avoid the drop obviously. However I feel this was inevitable considering our financial situation at the moment. We can now reset and go again. I’ll be renewing my season ticket as soon as and look forward to playing old foes like Shire and Berwick and lots of new rivals. Bring it on.

  6. I hope there’s not too many sore heads this morning. It’s not a surprise to me Kelty won the league with quite a bit to spare. However the best squad doesn’t always win. You still need direction, you still need motivation and the coaching team at Kelty managed this very well. I was listening to sportsound in the car yesterday when Kevin Thomson was getting interviewed. He came across very well- respect. Good luck in league 1.

  7. You aren’t the only one having sleepless nights.
If the worst happens, the players will go elsewhere but the fans will still be there, hopefully.
We had/have a decent squad and really should be doing much better but I cannot remember Cowden having so many poor performances.
I will be there tomorrow and Saturday but each defeat makes it more difficult to be motivated to spend five hours driving to games which are so disappointing.

Kudos to you mate. Travelling a distance to watch us underperforming must be a difficult gig. I live relatively nearby but I just watch the stream. At least I can just turn my iPad in a different direction when things aren’t going well. Which has been often this season. Our circumstances determine where we are at the moment. We start the season at quite a disadvantage where we pay owners rent. Most clubs don’t have this. Then when you add in the local population who really don’t care if they have a SPFL team or not then you have our situation. Over the last few seasons we have survived two extremely close play offs and escaped finishing bottom the other two seasons due to other clubs having a meltdown. I can only imagine the difficulty in balancing the books at Central Park so there is no way I can criticise the people running the club. In fact it’s the opposite. We keep going and see where it gets us.
