  1. Harsh on McIver in my opinion. As others have commented he needs someone to play off him. I also thought Donaldson was ok. Where I do agree is the ponderous possession for sake of it & the realty of legs gone McGinn, which is unfortunate given his football brain. Think he will turn out to be a decent manager in time.
  2. Anybody know if there is a patg option for KMc stand tomorrow evening
  3. I think Saturday will be significant in terms of tactical nous against stronger team. A few observations from being there last night: Agyeman trying too hard at times Donaldson yellow card due to McGinn’s legs gone Mackie offers nothing going forward Lang, Spencer & McIver all settling well & making positive contributions Morrison doesn’t know how to attack byline & cutback Miller brought energy & movement in last third in his short tine on pitch We still lack creativity to break down packed defence although not sure if this is as much about risk averse tactics
  4. Just watched after match interviews & whilst I am not McGlyn’s biggest supporter think some of the comments on here are a touch misrepresentative. In my opinion he doesn’t come over any different to normal with a nervous energy typical of his presentation.
  5. See we’ve added Christophe Berra to our coaching team
  6. Can’t see why the diamond of 4 1 3 2 couldn’t be tried with this lineup Hogarth Yeats (until we get new RB) Lang Mackie McCann Spencer Morrison Lowal Agyeman McIver Allan
  7. Thought it was a healthy home support on Saturday & wondering if anyone knows actual attendance figure
  8. Can’t speak for others but prepared to forgive & forget however need reassurance that lessons learned in terms of playing style, formation & tactics. Going on Saturday not sure if change hoped for is in the offing
  9. Nothing to do with result my friend as one read of the post match responses would tell you. Cautious tactics coupled with set up do give cause for concern on whether lessons from last season have been learned.
  10. I have seen Pearce playing since he was a 14 year old starring for an Airdrie based boys’ club against my grandson & his talent is undoubted. I agree with BPM here though that it’s far too early to be putting the lad in a bracket beyond great prospect material & as he transitions from youth football versus his peers, grows physically & comes up regularly against men opponents only then will we see if realises his undoubted potential.
  11. Whilst the jury is still out for me on McGlyn’s tactics I think it’s a bit unreasonable to suggest he’s not been addressing many of last season’s squad deficits given signings to date. Personally speaking I’m looking forward to a fresh start when competitive games get underway & as we used to say as Bairns’ fans Expect the Unexpected
  12. Touching tribute paid by Michael White to Craig Brown on club website
