  1. Aye, but Calpol laced with something nicked from the anaesthesia supplies in the hospital where she worked does the trick - apparently
  2. Took the £99.20 straight away. Normal service has been resumed with the later races although 2 more to go . A big thank you to uncle Padraig.
  3. Eurythmics - Sweet Dreams (Are Made Of This)

  5. Edit : Sorry, just noticed this isn't the QQ Thread. Any P & Bers have an online account with Paddy Power ?? Got an email today apologising for the site being down yesterday but, as i wasn't betting yesterday beyond a couple of early French races, i never noticed. However, i've just logged in for the Curragh meet tonight and find that i've been given a "free bet" credit of £40. As i'm a £1 ew or £2ew punter, this credit is disproportionate to the amount i "invest" weekly. Not complaining, but i wonder if the credit was meant to be £4 which would be more in line with my bets. If it is a mistake, surely they won't withdraw it once it's spotted. Anyone else get a credit and, if so, does it tie in pro rata-ish with your punts ??
  6. Maybe that's why so many pupils got Highers
  7. I think the Abbeyview that existed when i was growing up is long gone and the gulags replaced by modern housing. Don't know about the eateries, but i'm sure you can still get a fine array of the locally grown produce if the court reports in the Press are to be believed.
  8. The article fails to mention the available trips to Lloret de Abbeyview
  9. Kiki Dee -- Star I've posted this (and some others from memory) before, but t'is a tune.
  10. I'm of the opinion they all closed ranks and sorted out a story between them as a means of covering the negligence aspect. However, the stories in interviews with the police opened up contradictions of timings, placings and whereabouts at the time. Surely, as "professionals", they would not have been "drinking most of the evening" to the extent that they were oblivious to certain key facts and i understand some of them also had small children with them, both at the bar and in their respective rooms ?? We see things as we see them.
  11. If you are referring to me, then i take exception to the slur. I do believe, with the collective contradictions in statements, etc, there's something major being withheld surrounding what actually happened. You have your opinion, like everybody here, but yours is no more valid or authentic than mine or anyone else's. As Zen has remarked, being "professional" does not in itself provide immunity from being a lying, conniving bassa.
  12. It's probably a helpful intervention by the flat earth society making sure these ships don't fall off the edge.
  13. I've said a number of times on here that i believe one or more of the tapas seven will crack at some point. There are conflicting, contradicting accounts of timelines, activities and whereabouts that the 7, along with the McCanns, have provided to police, press and media. Maybe, just maybe, one of them will have a conscience before they die.
  14. Jackson Browne - Lawyers In Love
  15. Self-serving b*****ds - all of these 'kin tories. They'll sneak through a number of questionable decisions, that would otherwise be decried by the majority of the public, whilst the current chaos endures and attention is elsewhere. This manoeuvre isn't the sole preserve of tories, but i'm fairly confident this current shower are the most inept and sneaky underhand bassas to have run their shitshow from london since - teresa may's cabal of f*uckwits.
  16. Watching Sevilla v Betis online. https://www.viprow.me/sevilla-fc-online-stream
  17. Methinks, mon ami, that we may have very differing views on the why's and what's in this case. However, i'm open to definitive and de facto evidence to alter my stance - if it is out there.
  18. That epitomises the class differential that exists and has been played out in this scenario. Because they're "well spoken doctors", they were afforded the full monty of government protection and the approach was "well, they're doctors, so they couldn't possibly have done anything untoward". The McCanns have max'd this out and some.
  19. There was substantially more behind Clarence Mitchell's immediate appointment than just a PR gig. He was the one behind the "no comment" approach and was instrumental in producing the strategy for the McCanns "world tour" and raking in the "find Maddie" cash. He was an obstruction to the Portuguese police at every step. I don't recall him or anyone else of that ilk landing in Kos within 48 hours of Ben Needham being reported missing. This thread amplifies the vagaries and polar positions of the contributors, but there's nothing wrong with healthy debate or discussion, provided it stays within the acceptable parameters.
  20. There's nearly as many varying views/accounts on here about what actually happened that night as there are in the formal accounts supplied by the McCanns and their tapas amigos/amigas to the authorities. If the parents were wee Shug and Senga from Garthamlock or Wester Hailes, then they'd have been slaughtered by the press et al as being guilty of negligence and would have been hung out to dry. Can't see Gordon Brown and his team dropping everything to help/protect/cover up for wee Shug.
  21. Railly ??? Well, getchoo. That's all just more puff stuff. You're not giving out a major signal here, more causing a low commotion. However, don't take a bullet for your efforts.
