  1. I fully accept your views & bow to your superior historical knowledge, Whilst i agree that there is likely to be an uber-nationalistic approach to the marking of the 1314 battle, it will be done so in Scotland alone. It may turn out to be used as a crass propaganda weapon or as a means of displaying "Scottishness" by some, but it will be confined to this country alone. It will not be "celebrated" in Northern Ireland or anywhere else for that matter. I believe that the point i have been trying to get through to my "naranja" friend is that i see no need for another country to co-celebrate events that are wholly relevant in Scotland and nowhere else. The age old "traditions" spouted about annually to justify the "marching" are done so through less than tenuous historical outdated (in 2013 ??) connections. As i have previously stated, in my opinion, "it is a vulgar display of "rangers-ism". Im going to write to the Mayor of Pamplona to see if Scotland can twin with them & we can have our own "bull run" through certain areas of Glasgow & beyond next year during the "marching" season (canny wait for the Youtube videos). Using the core arguments for justification, i'm sure you will have no problem with this as we are merely embracing the cultural celebrations of our brethern. The similar tenuous connections here are that i, and many others in Scotland, drink San Miguel despite the fact that there are many other credible Scottish alternatives. Vienen de los toros
  2. I apologise if you've been up all night without sleep attempting to formulate a response of sorts. Can i suggest that you actually READ the points i have made in relation to the numerous posts you have made in this forum. This is not a personal thing against you, it was just that your contributions were, as i have alluded to, consistently in one way or another, justifying the public demonstrations of "celebrations" IN 2013 IN SCOTLAND. My point(s) is that it is not carrying on an historic tradition based on events from OVER 300 YEARS AGO, but, in 2013, it is a vulgar display of "rangers-ism". In the same way that thousands take to the streets in "muslamic" countries (google "Muslamic Ray Guns" to get the joke) when a fatwa has been declared on an individual or group, they are all out there slapping their heads & chanting of death & destruction to the accused. Only very few have any inkling about the specifics of what the actual accusations are & the vast majority just see it as an excuse to publicly decry the anti-muslim world. The case of the "Satanic Verses" by Salman Rushdie is a perfect example. Do you now get a) the analogy b) what i'm getting at ?? I'm now officially tired of having to amplify the points made for your benefit. I'm not expecting you to agree, but i'd have expected a basic understanding from you at least. Anyway, my "naranja" amigo, the Open & Le Tour are calling. See you here on 11th July 2014. Have a good year.
  3. You'd better be careful there brother, otherwise the asterisk police (aka monsieur kincardine) will press charges
  4. I refer the honourable gentleman to the reply i gave above. On the basis of your latest retort, i now accept that you have no response - grammatical or otherwise.
  5. And there rests the case for his defence, m'lud. That the best you can do ?? Please feel free to correct any punctuation errors my "naranja" friend where you believe i have erred. Or is it just that i have USED punctuation that has sent you into a tailspin ?? Significantly, though, you have chosen not to counter the salient points i have made in my post. Could that perhaps be because you cannot construct anything of substance ?? As i have inferred, the prosecution now rests.
  6. I wasnt specifically referring to posters here, although, through your defensive response, you chose to interpret my comment as such. That says much more about your position on this subject than mine. You have consistently attempted to counter any opinion that finds the whole idea of "marching" in SCOTLAND as a tribute to some historic events that may have a relevance in its country of origin as being abhorrent. That says much more about your position on this subject than mine. Your attempts to mask the behaviour and alterior motives in 2013 of the moronic participants, and therefore justify the circus's existence IN SCOTLAND by throwing historic data FROM N IRELAND into the mix, says much more about your position on this subject than mine. Please do not deflect your narrow myopic views and/or support for the charade that is on to me or others who find the whole thing as just a sectarian excuse for promoting and showing the world how "billyful" they are. Have a nice day now.
  7. To the utterly moronic sectarian knobheads who are promoting their own particular brand of "celebrating history" through the endorsement of these outdated, unwanted annual circus performances, . . . . . . . . . . http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ke5Mr5eCF2U we (the vast majority ) are all Gabby Johnson
  8. On the basis that the majority of these sub-primates were sporting a number of variations of old/new rangers tops & tat, should the reincarnated rangers not issue a "not in our name" statement to distance themselves from these moronic transgressions ?? No, wait . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . .
  9. Ive just watched snippets from a couple of youtube clips of the marches. We're all gonna get it once kim jong un finds oot that his faither & grandfaither's old army garrison uniforms, that were obviously donated to the west of scotland to help impoverished rangers (old team/new team) fans, are being recycled and used as circus outfits by these obnoxious moronic fannies. The wee wummins in the sweat shops of govan must have done bings of overtime sewing 2 or 3 tops n troosers together to get enough material to fit the XXXXXXL beer-bellied, gargoyled sub-humans they were dressing. Still, im sure they had a great time promoting Scotland to the rest of the civilised world
  10. She's actually wearing a "sheepdog" bra - it rounds them up & points them in the right direction. In her case, though, their heading for different pens.

  12. When HOB are at home to Kelty mate i'll let you know. The rivalry goes back to the amateur days so its always "tasty" - a bit like the Bot v Cumnock - but withoot the buckie & the extras from Deliverance.

  13. further to my last mail, have a wee look at www.hillofbeathhawthorn.co.uk to give you more of an idea of what & where we are. ps, we are currently top of the Superleague but tis a long way with lots of games to go.

    cheers

  14. years ago when i stayed in edinburgh, i lived opposite one of the sons of the McKinnon "Drambuie" dynasty who had a 911 with the plate POR911. he used to have a mate visit with a similar 911 with the plate THE911. in a newcastle multi-storey car park about 5 years ago i parked next to a spanking new Porsche Cayenne with the plate WH05BOS. cant be doing with the plates that are just a mix of random numbers & tail end consonants (W X Y Z) that dont actually mean or signify anything but lets the kn0bheads cruise looking smug in their "private" plate motur.
