  7. After I crashed my car a couple of years back (rolled it 6 times into a barley field!) I kept having not so much dreams but just at the moment you re-awaken/wake up I'd have this vivid irrational fear I was dying........wasn't just going to sleep at night either.....would happen with naps on the couch and would sometimes happen more than once a night. was pretty frightening tbh
  8. I remember having my one and only wet dream when I was 17yo about this woman on my civil engineering course. I had to have some serious words with myself after dreaming of pumping a leopard print clad 30something Dundonian in the back of my mates pick up outside Brennans nightclub!

  12. Woman finds three-inch leech in nose after South East Asia trip A backpacker found a 3in (7.5cm) leech that had been living up her nose for a month after a trip to South East Asia. Daniela Liverani, 24, from Edinburgh, had been having nosebleeds for weeks but put them down to a burst blood vessel from a motorbike crash. Ms Liverani was having a shower last Thursday when she was realised the dark shape wriggling in her nose was actually an animal. Hospital staff used forceps and tweezers to remove the parasite. Ms Liverani believes she picked up the leech in Vietnam or Cambodia, but even when she felt it moving up and down her nostril, she thought it was a blood clot. She told BBC Radio Scotland: "Your initial reaction isn't to start thinking, oh God, there's obviously a leech in my face." Jump media player Media player help Out of media player. Press enter to return or tab to continue. Daniela Liverani tells 5 live: "I just thought it was a congealed blood clot" It was when Ms Liverani was in the shower that the leech's presence was most noticeable. She said: "Obviously my nasal passages would open up because of the steam and the heat and the water, and it would come out quite far, about as far as my lip. "So I could kind of see it out of the corner of my eye but still didn't think it was a worm because it just looked like a blood clot. "On Thursday I jumped out the shower and I unsteamed the mirror and I had a proper good look, and I could see little ridges on him." That was the moment when Ms Liverani realised she was housing a parasite. 'Strange situation' She went to accident and emergency where doctors removed "Mr Curly" - as Ms Liverani nicknamed the leech - with forceps and tweezers. "The doctors did a great job, hats off to them, because obviously they don't see something like that every day", she added. "They did what they could in a strange situation while trying to keep their cool." Ms Liverani then took the leech home for the night, at the doctors' suggestion. However, Mr Curly did not live to see another day. "He's in an Edinburgh City Council bin," said Ms Liverani. "He's probably long gone by now. I boiled him first."
  13. I remember a Rusholme curry house in Manchester being shut down after the bin men reported finding copious amounts of empty dog food tins outside in their bin!
  14. Night time picture of China, North Korea and South Korea from the ISS.
  15. I hope it's a proper chilli with red kidney beans mate?
  16. Living in a car>living in a bin. Unfortunately when it's a vulnerable family involved it makes it even more tragic.
  17. The folk living in their car near me are still there this morning.......I gave the old guy a bacon roll & a cup of coffee on the passing which he reluctantly accepted. Really don't know the story behind this.....he's probably in his 70's with a younger guy in the back and the car is a "14" plate......sad really. Was hoping the homeless charity I called earlier in the week would have helped them out by now.
  18. Don't even joke about that mate......after the last 6 months of renovating I'd be crying like a baby!
