  1. Anyone know what’s the deal with players for this week? Presume many are out of contract and some may even now be contracted for other clubs?
  2. It does have the air of an unplanned decision about it. I don’t know the chairman at all but Craig and Mark are both thoroughly decent guys and Queens to the core. I wouldn’t disagree with the decision. Timing wise it’s maybe a few months too late but definitely better late than never in this case. I already feel a lot more optimistic about the playoffs now than I did before.
  3. Absolutely it’s unbelievable how poor we are at that. And I have to say we don’t seem able to sign a keeper with an aptitude for catching crosses
  4. Our results against Alloa alone are enough to suggest we deserve to go down. Naysmith just doesn’t seem to have the answer against the lower teams in the division. On the plus side I was surprised to see us still sitting 4th bottom. Can Naysmith motivate the team for a result against Dunfermline? I’m not sure
  5. Grim first half tonight for various reasons and Alloa getting a win doesn’t help us I think. Is there some rule that we’re only allowed to play attacking football for 20 minutes per match?
  6. Great result today. Unexpected but needed given results elsewhere. Alloa fans must be gutted
  7. OK taking a step back here - in an era where terrorists regularly target entertainment events should it be even remotely acceptable that groups of 14 year olds are let I to football grounds with flares? Not in my opinion. Seriously if that is happening then yes - the club must take some responsibility for that.
  8. At some point the SNP government is going to turn the same eye it has on alcohol and named persons to football if it hasn't got its house in order by then and that'll not be nice to watch.
  9. Just seen Accies vice chairman on the telly trying to justify voting against strict liability. No wonder Scottish football can’t move forward with folk like him in charge of the game!
  10. Accies vice-chairman a prime example of the sort of backward thinking that’s kept Scottish football in the dark ages. Only QOS, Thistle and Annan actually trust their supporters to behave like civil human beings it appears.
  11. Kudos to the board for coming out in support of strict liability along with Annan and Partick. Feels good as a supporter when you are trusted with the future of your club doesn’t it?
  12. Yeah - pretty much a no lose scenario for him I suspect. If we go down - wasn't his fault as only 8 games to influence. If we stay up - claim some credit for arresting the decline.
  13. And I think we can all agree we don’t have the worse manager in Scotland after today. Faddy must be wishing he had Laurie Ellis’s agent
  14. Positive move to a point an assistant for what seems to be until the end of the season. If the club was resigned to going down this would have been an easy saving to make. Hoping he can have some sort of impact on our freewheeling descent!
  15. On the evidence of the last Ayr game I saw on the telly they seem to have the only Keeper in the division who's worse at crosses than ours so I'm going for a 5-5 draw for this one. And I'm going to the game too provided Somerset hasn't blown down in the wind.
  16. Never really warmed to him. Far too negative on pitch side - can only imagine what’s he’s like in training. As for the goalkeeping issue the last Championship level keeper I’ve seen play for Queens was Robinson, and I can only dream of the days of Jamie MacDonald.
  17. Anyone else think Facebook actually knows we lost when it continues to repost updates of how crap we played in your timeline for days after each game?
  18. Really nice article. Shame I didn’t see it on the day I’d have bought it!
  19. Thought Martin had a decent game all in against Aberdeen. We’re not great at defending crosses for sure but for me a lot of that is down to our lack of a leader at centre back. Marshall v Cosgrove is a matchup that simply shouldn’t have been allowed to happen.
  20. lol Happy New Year everyone! FWIW I don’t think Dykes has much faith in Dykes shooting ability either. Whenever he gets into a clear shooting position he always seems to hesitate and look to lay it off. I think that’s a selfconfidence thing (yeah I know it’s Dykes were talking about). On a separate point does anyone know how you find out who is already in the Hall of fame now the vote is starting? I like Andy Aitken but wouldn’t vote for him over Jim Thomson so unless JT is already in I’m not voting for a defender.
  21. Actually heard from a “source” that behind the scenes Harkins wasn’t the most fun to be around. More than a few happy he’s gone.
  22. Reference to the HUGE build up on twitter prior to his re-signing.
  23. I met Tommy Bryce a few years back in Paisley when he was manager at Glenafton. Top man. Don’t think he’s still in football these days.
