Page 5438 , also quoting that the owner was wanting people to watch from pub ( have not seen owner saying that anywhere ) the post that you actually liked 😁

It's clearly parody! Hence it got a like from me.

That has gone well over a number of people's heads on here. If you believe Thumper wants to run Smith out of town then I've got a friend who inspects wallets who I can introduce you too for a small fee.

Do agree that the club probably could do more in terms of supporters buses but we took 1000  to Hampden on Saturday without a supporters bus and Glasgow isn't exactly hard to get to.

There was guys from the Shoot soccer at Whittlets trying to organise buses earlier in the season and didn't get much response either.

Remember we have a big car support as Bill McWilliams says...

  3. Humza is toast after the General Election.

He's already framing it as the SNP winning the most seats (not a majority) being a good result. If the SNP win say 32 constituencies out of 57 (it drops from 59 this GE) it is still a pretty spectacular loss from the last GE when they won 48.

If the polls and the general mood are anything to go on I don't think the SNP vote is going to turnout as so many people are scunnered with the party. Meaning they will be up against it in a lot of constituencies. Especially if the unionist vote coalesces around Labour, as seems likely.

I genuinely think we need to take one step backwards to have a reset. Humza isn't the man to reset it, he's had long enough to do it and he is Mr Continuity. I had hoped he would break with the old regime and govern as a minority but alas he's a bit feart of that, for reasons I cannot understand.

Voted for SNP all my days yet the c***s that still do my nut in the most are these radicals that think the SNP can do no wrong and that they're beyond criticism.

Aye, the sycophants are something else. When you lose the ability to think critically it's time to log off. Sandy and his ilk are long past that.

The party can do no wrong in his eyes. Everything is a unionist/Alba conspiracy or the evil press. Some of them genuinely believe that the SNP Government have never made a mistake.

    Isn’t optimism great?

It's invigorating. I had become a bit of a glum glum where AUFC was concerned.

It's early days and yesterday was by no means perfect but you could feel the positivity in the crowd. It's not been like that for what feels like eternity.

I'm keeping my feet firmly on the ground. I think not being on the North Terrace is making me grumpy as well.

Think I saw somewhere we took nearly 1,000 supporters yesterday?

If so, that is quite impressive.

I’m glad I went and broke my season 23/24 jinx

I don't know if we hit 1,000. It couldn't have been far away tbh. Was great to have such a good turnout and have the singing and atmosphere back.

I enjoyed watching Brown on the touchline, he was living every moment and so animated.

We're just at the start of this journey but it augurs well.

In terms of my expectations. I'd like to be safe from the relegation battle. Mid-table obscurity would suit me fine this season.

  7. Things I liked:

    Reading not being a bombscare

Brown hauling Sylla up from the ground when he'd gone down in front of him and Queens Park were attacking.

Referee seemed to give us every big decision.

    Things I didn't like:

    McAllister being a bombscare

McGeady being brought on (he's done)

I thought our substitutions were a bit bizarre tbh. I know Bryden and McKenzie combined for the second goal.

I'm happy QP went to 10 men when they did as I'm not convinced we'd have won it otherwise. The momentum was with them up to then. Anyway, a wins and win and I'll take it and move on.

Was impressed with how he started and he got beyond Murphy a good few times but felt he resorted to type as the game went on. Undoubtedly better than McAllister though

    Entirely fair.

He played well (by his standards). He got by Murphy but did he connect with a cross? He always seemed to pass it back the way or crossed it to no-one.

He's better than McAllister for sure but not convinced he's good enough if we want to kick on tbh.
