He did , Sandy had to talk him into signing the great LS .
You are at it now!
Sandy Stewart joined the club in 2018.
Sir Lawrence joined in September 2017.

I'm probably on the hitlist for chanting Bullen GTF at the Inverness game.
I also repeatedly suggested catapulting/trebucheting him into the sea.

I really hope we get this appointment made before the Arbroath game.
We need to give the new manager a bit of the window to add to the squad.

Aye, the media coverage isn't a surprise given the club statement.
It's always fascinating when a business has a pop at its customers. I don't think it's helpful and if you really believe in #weareunited asking the support to turn on one another is perhaps not the way to do it.
Had they added the caveat around the behaviour of a minority of fans or something similar I don't think it would have exploded as it has in the news tbh.
Also there is no context of what is being determined to be abuse by club management. Very strange indeed.

I've gone for Uncle Ian. More out of hope than expectation.

Unless someone beats me to it, the thread will be up about 7pm or so tonight! Swamped at work, unfortunately.
No worries, it is not official unless you do it.

I really dislike the rhetoric from some of the dafties in our support.
"What to supporters expect?"
"We're not a big club"
"Expectations from some are ridiculous"
"Some folk seem to forget where we were"
The idea that because we are a small club that has had darker days than this, we should just accept runs of 1 win in 11? From our last 45 home league games we've won 14.
We've been awful to watch for a lot longer than just this season - but not to worry, that's just the way it is. Gees a break.
The next appointment simply has to get things going.

As I said before the lack of ambition from some within the support is baffling.

Bullen was given time to turn it around and given every opportunity. However, there were no green shoots of any recovery from the slump.
Any direct messages to Bullen abusing him are out of order. I'd have said the atmosphere was much more toxic when Hopkin chucked it.

Where is the new manager thread? @Ludo*1

As I said the other day Bullen embraced the club and the town. He just wasn't good enough on Saturday afternoons and there were no signs of it turning around. I wish him well in the future.

Fun tidbit about Bowyer, he replaced one David Hopkin as manager of Bradford.
It shows he has experience of dealing with the aftermath of catastrophically bad football managers.

If you sack Bullen then I think there is a decent chance you might bring Malky Mackay in. What would the view be on that as a replacement for Bullen?
What about Owen Coyle?
Mackay - Not with a massive barge pole
Coyle - Maybe
Courts or Bowyer would be good.

I see Inverness have freed Cillian Sheridan. He’s old and useless, so I reckon we’ll be in for him. Maybe McGeady can sell the club to him.
Was he at Dundee? He looked done then. It's a huge no from me.

Any change would be a plus to be fair. Removing the manger would seem to be the more practical option.
it must be incredibly difficult considering the length of time the last 3 have had to be looking again for a manager , something has to happen though.
I get that it's a difficult decision but the reality couldn't be starker.
If we fail to beat Arbroath a week on Tuesday we will have gone a third of the league season with one win. That's not even remotely close to being acceptable.
Edit to add:
Ultimately, Mark Kerr was sacked for less by the same Chairman. That's where we are at now. What wasn't acceptable 4/5 years ago is now.

But something has to change be it new manager or a coach, not sure bring players in at this time is a good idea unless you change manager or coach.
Do you mean replace Bullen or add a coach to his backroom team? I think we are long past the later option, maybe five or six games ago I could understand that but not now. It might not auger well either, did they not do that with Kerr and sack him the very next game?

I actually think that's the worst non-award of a penalty I can remember seeing. I don't know how it could be more blatant.
I raise you the one that led to this... the Arbroath fans will know the one I mean.
David Ferguson rugby tackled an Arbroath attacker in the box. No penalty. Dick Campbell then leads a one man pitch invasion.

Absolute revisionist nonsense from VOR. Calls himself a journalist, that is a work of fiction.
I don't remember Uncle Ian getting such a write up and he saved us from relegation to League Two and established us a Championship team.
Obviously, this is Bullen's world and we're lucky to live in it.
I need to lie down.
