  1. Dead eye is your friend. Do the chores around the camp to help build it up.
Even though Im playing it through again now and enjoying it just as much as the first time, I'm jealous that you're experiencing it all new
Oh I know, it's just painful trying headshots at distance to get pelts etc. Want to level up the dead eye to skip the difficulty.
    It's been a beautiful experience.

And to follow the other chat re controls, I had the 360 and Ps3. One of the deciding factors on keeping the 360 was the control. There is something reassuringly weighty about the xbox controls over the ps ones. Even the wiiu Pro controller felt better (and it's absolutely mad battery life did not hurt either ).
  2. Youngest is 2 and a half, start of the week he mastered the child safety locks on the cupboards, by the end of the week the stair gate and then last night he managed to get out his bed and through the hall to our room whilst still in his sleeping bag.

He also wants to brush his teeth about 8 times a day so mastering the gate has not helped this in slightest.

  3. Yahtzee Croshaw made an entertaining video about Ark years ago.
Stick with it, there's a couple of good belly laughs in there.

I haven't watched yahtzee in ages. Loved his stuff. Just fully going mental at little bits of games.
Used to watch a bit of the angry video game nerd and at the moment it's whatculture gaming (jules stuff mainly as he's quite funny)
  4. I’m from Golspie, Inverness was a big day out growing up!
Grew up in Thurso then later on taught in Wick. Regularly did the Inverness run. Mrs. RN#2 would regularly get pissed off by it because she was originally from Livingston and hated living in Caithness [emoji1787]
From Nairn, so Inverness or sometimes Elgin (asda and cadonas chips) were the days out when I was younger.
The odd trip to Aberdeen too.
Could never remember which of the la scala or the elgin playhouse was a bigger dump at that age.
  5. FTTP is now available on my street. There's currently only one provider, the amusingly named BrawBand offering 3 fairly pricey packages, although the cheapest one is only a couple of quid more each month than what I'm currently paying BT for I'm torn between the £38 and £45 quid packages. 200Mbps is obviously a massive upgrade on my current speed, but was wondering anyone else with FTTP can tell me if it's worth the extra for 500Mbps?

I went from 6 to 150mbps fibre to the house last year and it made a massive difference, everything downloaded was fast.
For the same price this year I have gone up to 1gb. Its mental how quick downloads are
  6. Guys, I need your advice. I work online and have several people under my supervision. What is the best way to monitor the work of subordinates online? How to motivate them to do everything in a row and efficiently?
Do you not have a set of metrics for task completion?
Monitor that for a week and compare, then have a one to one chat on a Monday with all of them, let them know its being looked at by above your pay grade and that you will need to know if they have issues.

Side note - Thank f**k I don't have to deal with that pish anymore.
  7. Aye, my mum was doing some part-time hours with Safeway at the time of the takeover - did they not do away with a load of other perks that the staff had too? I seem to remember there was a staff discount card that they stopped. She seemed to think that everyone immediately started polishing their CV.
Yeah, that went. The bonus thing went. Was just a shambles
  8. Self service tills aren't the reason folk are losing jobs. Corporate greed is the reason.
Also, refusing to use self service tills won't reverse anything or make any blind bit of difference.
    This.
I worked at safeway when morrisons took over. The first thing they did was reduce staff by 20%
Then call for 12pm 5pm and close sales for first 3 months per store. If it wasn't going up the store was ready for staff reductions.
Absolutely mental at times, one I worked at was understaffed, near asda and tesco (both cheaper) and had opening hours that didn't help.

But one of the major issues I thought was the massive backwards step in tech. Safeway tech was shite but at least I could scan an item code and do a count of the shelf and compare to what they thought we had. Morrisons was all paper order and paper based.
Went from office based to office restricted
    Fucking woeful place to work.
Remember the day I got my office job confirmation and the call came in, area manager for a section that was basically 16ft of store saw my answer my phone and went looking for a manger or hr to dob me in.
Manager on duty came to speak to me and by time he got up to my office room I had written my two weeks. M
  9. Another one from working from home. For some bizarre reason whenever on a call she essentially shouts the entire time. Unsure if she thinks that people won’t be able to hear her otherwise, or if it’s just that she’s generally loud as f**k, but any time she is on a call I’m waiting on neighbours knocking on the door to tell us to shut the f**k up. And I would agree with them.
It could be her headset, the one given to me by my office was laughably shite that I found myself talking louder to be heard.
Swapped it out with the usb-c earphones I got with my phone (I have a set of airpods already but screw using them all day). No problems since
  10. How did this happen, did you ask or did they just give you it, or do you work for Sky?

I've also got the 150Mbps package so very interested to find out more as I didn't know sky offered anything over 150Mbps.
It was sky Ireland tbh, just said about working from home but trying to save money on the TV package as wife lost job and given the current situ it's not sure she will be back to work.
Same package, fibre to max, same price as year before
  11. Yeah Maisie goes to her dad's every weekend, neither of them ask about her.
Fair play to maisies dad for being there.

One day your daughter may realise what she's done and the big question will be if the kids will even want to know.

They will know what you and your wife have done for them and I think once old enough to understand I think they will gain loads more appreciation than you can imagine.
  12. Just cancelled sky TV this morning. They offered me a whole £2 extra off my monthly bill - then wanted a £20 admin fee!

19 years and it comes to this.
Sky just upped my fibre from 150mbps to 1gb for the same price as I am working from home...
Sometimes you win sometimes you dont
  13. All resi games end up with areas of downtime, once you clear an area of zombies its clear (aside from the hunters in resi 1,again when they are killed the place is empty)
With regards to doing an OW resi, i was thinking more like a tight constricted city, with an insane number of zombies (pretty much unable to kill them all ever due to ammo limitations) and to deal with the areas that are cleared, if you kill zombies in an area, the gunshots, explosions or whatever attract other zombies to the same area, but give the player options, going from A to B you have the choice of 3 or 4 routes, each with different positives and negatives not just in the present but in the future (say you take the main street, kill most zombies and dodge the rest, easy enough, but later that street is back teeming with even more enemies, however if you take the shortcut through say an apartment block, you face a tougher first run but its much less enemy populated later on due to it being a closed off area as such)
I do get what you are saying about downtime boring people, i agree with that, but surely the devs could come up with various ways to stifle the boredom, were talking about a franchise that literally created all sorts of monsters, zombie dogs could constantly hunt you, hell stick a nemesis into open world, bet that aint boring at all [emoji28][emoji28]
Reminds me, must dig out left 4 dead.
Not so much an open world but my god tearing up the levels with a group was fun
