Lets say clubs agree to pay players/ management team expences of £20 per week per head x 20 =£400
12 weeks from 10th Oct til end of the year= £4800+ cost of training with no gate money, how many clubs could stomach that?

This is my fear - that they start the season hoping only one or two games are behind closed doors and then Wee Nippy comes along and moves the goalposts but the season has then started so they have to continue.
Exactly, cue a few clubs with' sugar daddies' pushing for it as their bottomless pit wont be affected.

Let's be brutally honest here, starting the season on the 10th without fans for an undefined period can't be allowed to happen.
This will be the death of more than a few clubs!!!

Last week the IMG told us 10th October was almost certainly not a realistic option for starting the leagues. This week we get issued a fixture list starting on that date. What changed in the meantime?
The same question everybody and their dug has been asking.
Assume taking the" ifs buts and maybes" thinking the same as SG.

Delaying the inevitable.
Semi-pro football teams require income to meet their costs, particularly wages.
Zero or reduced : crowds, sponshirship, pie hut revenue, social club income, hospitality, half time draws etc. will put enormous pressure on that.
Starting soon will do more harm than good and thats before factoring in the increase in covid and restrictions to players it brings.
If we are lucky we might get to start about April and cram some sort of season in.Nailed it, incredible some want to stumble on blindly.

The bottom line is key: no money at the gate = no income to pay players.
The clubs have to tell the league this is not an option.
At least clear up one point.

I get managers and players wanting to play but the most important people are the fans..... no fans no football.
The games a bogey.
See you all next season.

Other than playing behind closed doors competitvely being a non-starter, I'm not sure what exactly is clear about that.
Well at the moment we don't know if it will be 0 games, 4 games or start the season and see how it goes.

Why don't the clubs band together and say games behind closed doors will kill us and is a non starter.
A least that clears it up and if we start in Nov or Jan or next July at least clubs will have survived.

If he takes a season out, his 8k is gone anyway.
Let's be brutally frank games with no fans ain't happening, just need the WOSFL to come out their slumber and make the shout.

Surely the WOSFL committee must ask the clubs the $64000 question.
Do you wish to play games behind closed doors whilst honouring players contracts?
Failure to do so is complete negligence on their part.

I refereed three games back to back yesterday and as much as it is a total pain in the arse not having access to changing rooms in the pissing rain, it's not enough of a reason to prevent a restart of football.
Will you do it for free til the fans get in ?

Quite possibly this season might be a right off, maybe we should play what we can, have no relegation or promotion and start next season as the beginning, the only trouble is some teams might not survive this season
I think its a certaintity that some teams will fold due to financial difficulties.

You will need to ask the SFA that, they made the rule.
Where is this rule so we can read it?

What a shambles, the rumours and misunderstanding flying about tonight.
Surely somebody can confirm that two team within 25miles and both areas without restrictions can play??
What difference does it make what council area you are in.

I remember the old Kilbirnie Ladeside social club which used to be across from Glengarnock railway station.
I was too young to drink in it but I’ve heard the stories of some great acts that used to perform there.....
Hector Nicol,Christian,Andy Cameron.....
The Henry Gorman Band, Buster Hymen and the Penetrations, good/ crazy times in there

Some shared council facilities or not open for training yet which is a headache for a number of clubs.

Anyone who set a budget based on full capacity is an incompetent idiot.
The similar idiot might think you can run a club and pay players with no income.

I really think "games with no fans" will be impossible financially for teams to survive.
I'm assuming clubs will start paying players when proper games commence?
I would go for fans in based on the following,
Details provided, in advance of possible.Encourage early arrival and staggered departure.
Social distancing at food and drink outlets, use outside where possible.
Minimise / rotate numbers in changing areas.
Masks to be worn on supporters buses.
We are a long way off getting back to "normal" but a middle ground might work.
So many different thoughts and opinions on this bloody virus and no 100% right of wrong way to proceed in my opinion.
I think if it has hit any of your friends or family then your view may very well be swayed.

The new signings look serious. Not unless they get a licence.
Think the next meeting if Feb so might have it for the start of the season.

7 relegated over a season of 19 games would be brutal.
