  1. If you pay off McGlynn then that's a dent to the playing budget with no guarantee that the new manager performs better. Using that cash on improving the squad (which, on the face of it, we have) should outweigh some of his deficiencies. I would have happily seen McGlynn go after Airdrie but given the circumstances I think the board have probably make the correct trade-off.
  2. ffs Falkirk FC on Twitter: " We are offering supporters the unique opportunity to sponsor a section of our new pitch. 100 equal sections are available and the package comes with a host of benefits including an invite to our official away kit launch day! Find out more here https://t.co/RIYytD5VCG https://t.co/FPYgXA1ymS" / Twitter
  3. Decent draw imo. We're always going to get landed with two seeded teams given our league position but Dundee Utd look like the weakest from Pot 1 and Thistle appear to have a number of their better players departing and some pretty grim financial news just announced.
  4. i'm not convinced they would vote it through. Majority of clubs care about their bottom line and if you add another 8 clubs to the SPFL, you'd be diluting the % each club gets from the prize pot.

  6. If you're looking for any positives with McIver, he's not long turned 24 but has a decent amount of minutes at this level and above, so hopefully room for improvement. My initial reaction was that it was quite uninspiring but I'll give the guy a chance.
  7. The 2 year deal and the timing of it were both strange. I don't imagine many clubs were challenging for his signature and given his time at us it's unlikely to be the case another year down the line. 1 year deal as a squad player or let him walk imo.
  8. They had the belief because their team finished on 96pts (a tally that would see them win the league in most normal seasons) and were well clear of their opponents. Not too mention the 4-0 in the first leg flattered Peterborough a bit. We stumbled over the line in 2nd and were soundly beaten in that first leg.
  9. I'd rather Airdrie went up than Hamilton stay. As well as being our bogey team, they have been one of the form teams in the last quarter or so and could carry that momentum into next season if they manage to keep the core of their team. Seems to be a lot of discontent amongst the Accies support and their financial situation sounds far from rosey. I'd expect them to be a weaker challenger than Airdrie next season. Wasn't that long ago we were hoping Hearts, Hibs and Rangers would vacate the Championship to give us a clearer run at the title. Better times
  10. Nothing at all, I was just throwing out a name. Impressive goal tally considering Stenny had a fairly average season and still only 20.
  11. If we're looking at anyone from League Two I'd hope it's Matty Yates at Stenny. May have better options than us though.
  12. Said to my mate the other day that we could do a lot worse than letting Oliver leave and use his wages on Todorov. He's got two more league goals than Oliver in just over half the minutes.
  13. Even within our good spell of form there were some turgid performances. Kelty away where we stole it late on and two grinds against Alloa (1-1 away and 1-0 at home).
  14. Those Highland and Lowland clubs must be buzzing to play Queens Park B at Ochilview
  15. Oliver was a 1-year deal with the option of another. Anyone know if it's him or the club who can exercise that? I'd be getting rid. Piss-poor return for a striker in a full-time side in the third tier.
  16. Could do with another Airdrie goal or two just to absolutely cement his fate
  17. This Bairnschild character is 100% an Elon Musk fanboy
  18. Williamson has been injured most of the season and has already signed with Montrose for next season. Absolutely wild that McGlynn decided to play him in our two biggest games of the season.
