  1. As an Accies fan, I would just like to apologise in advance for these clowns in the Boardroom and their ridiculous pricing.

It not only affects you guys though as plenty PATG Accies punters will and are going to chuck it or attend away games only.

In our 150th year, seeing Accies fans priced out sticks in my throat- especially as plenty of these people watched us suffer 2 relegations in 3 seasons and this is how their loyalty is rewarded.🤬😡

Local Pub Owners are also raging as they know it is going to drastically affect their income- including one which is a home fans Pub and Managed by an Accies supporter.

I just hope they have a rethink before the League starts, but nearly 50 years of supporting this club( only under the Ally Duguid/David Campbell regime were  the fans the utmost consideration and that was in our homeless years) tells me that their pigheadedness will see them bunker down and to hell with the consequences.

They will soon learn the error of their ways…meet the new regime, same as the old regime vibes sadly.

Their previous good work counts for nothing in my books as this one decision has tarnished our 150th Anniversary and fcuk them as plenty  non Season Card holders are being priced out.

Arbroath, ICT and Dundee United being replaced by Livingston, Falkirk and Hamilton is shite for those of us who enjoy a train to games and good pubs.

Plenty good Pubs near New Douglas Park  within an 10-15 minute walk and you can partake in Restaurants,Coffee Shops and TK Maxx if you prefer lol.

That McDonalds and Starbucks near the ground are always busy I notice with the non drinking away punters if this season is anything to go by.

The real Lanarkshire derby: Time Capsule Vs Hamilton Water Palace. Winner is who can have the highest shite per litre percentage.

None of the above would hold a patch on the original Hamilton Baths- a few yards away from The Water Palace.

The “Big Room” filled with cockroaches where you were put when The Cubicles were full, the aforementioned Cubicles where folk on the opposite Balcony  would peer in and once you were past The Blue Diamond, it was ducking and diving time dodging the “brown torpedoes”.

Not forgetting the wonderful one-armed Swimming Instructor lol.

Imo there's no point pushing the boat out if it means that fans will struggle to afford to actually watch the team put together. The moneymen at clubs across England and Scotland (and undoubtedly elsewhere) take advantage of fans' emotional attachment to their club, so I think it's unfair to blame them for getting landed with such unreasonable pricing. There are fans who pretty much don't leave the house unless it's to go to the football, which is especially true for home games, and it can be the only way for others to see friends or for families to have a proper emotional connection. Owners exploit how ingrained football is in our culture.

Zengin's excuse last year was that he was paying over the odds to sponsor the shirts so he asked fans to do the same with ticket prices. That might have been fair enough from someone just through the door and essentially trying to operate the club at a higher level than we were at, but is that now just going to be a recurring cycle? When does it end?

I can't imagine that I'll be bothering with too many home games next season. It's too expensive, and I don't feel right paying £26 every fortnight and essentially telling the club that it's an acceptable price.

In our 150th year, they could have went the opposite way and went for £150 Season Books/ £15 for kids as a one off and heavily marketed it.

Many fans would have chipped in whether by aggressively promoting it Online or leafleting all of South Lanarkshire.

We did this numerous times in the past-especially during our homeless years.

The sad thing here is many fans are saying “enough is enough” including folk I know who had Season Books this season but who are angry at the way PATG punters are being treated.

Right away, the team will find themselves even more against it due to folk saying fcuk this.

The Accies support have went through a lot over the years: seven years without a ground, over £6 million disappearing from the sale of the old Douglas Park , the crooks regaining control from Alistair Duguid/David Campbell and The Nigerian scam etc etc.

Every time we seem to get back on an even keel, there is something that happens that scunners the Accies Fanbase to remove any resurgence of support/ optimism and this is it.

A Community Club where we have fans now stating they can’t afford to attend with their kids.

    Get in the bin.😡🤬

Hopefully the anger at these prices will force a rethink as it affects away fans also and is a disgrace all round.

That’s brought about through a financial shortage. Hamilton don’t have a big enough fanbase to justify being a full-time club. How else are they going to make up for this?

Been a full-time club for 20 years starting in this League and survived okay with all the businesses around the Stadium and the many Sponsorships.

Eleven years in the top League while crowdwanks like yourself were stuck down here for years…wonder who caused that eh.😂😂

This is where you have to be realistic with expectations. Hamilton have a fan base equal to East Fife and Clyde. what level do they play at? If your ambitions are higher with the same fanbase, the money has to come from somewhere to buy players to compete with clubs who have  substantially higher attendances.

We have a much bigger Fanbase than those clubs you mentioned; the problem is we lost 50% of them the last 10 years and this in no way will help people come back.

That figure will reduce attendance even further.

Joe Bloggs rocking up on the day with 2 kids ain’t going to pay £58 to watch Accies v any Championship club.

No attempt to grow the Fanbase or reconnect with those who stopped going.

Absolute moon units and reminds me of 2008 when we had the Fourth highest Season Ticket in the country and they had to reduce the prices the next season.

I think smith's form leading up to the play offs has been great, especially since his position was tweeked tbh (Rankin actually got something right here) He played a major part in getting us back up.

As above, don't believe anything in that rag relating to Accies, but if there is something in it, shame on the club for letting him go just as he has his mojo back. Surely bollocks as he would only be going sideways? Might just want a change as he is entering the twilight of his career but hope he stays.

He is about 23-24, so not exactly in the twilight of his career ffs.

Top for assists I think and that is despite Rankin dropping him/having him as a Sub for months.

They have offered him a deal just over half his current wage allegedly which along with shoving Fulton out the door as he was on £1.8k per week, shows they want guys on lower wages.

He was great the last month of the season and if not mucked about, would be a starter next season.

  9. As soon as he brought on Redfern and Winter, he handed the initiative to Caley.

The Accies support were dreading half-time as we knew what was coming second half…a Rankin Groundhog Day.

How must Jake Hastie feel, playing well , scoring goals dropped for no reason and the likes of Winter(who last scored I think in the League Cup group stages) on before him every time.

That is a sacking offence in itself along with playing McGowan week after week.

If we go up, it will be in spite of the Dugout as he is a guy who is not learning from his mistakes.

If Inverness go all out for a couple of early goals, it will be hard to see a way back.

Our only option is to go for the first goal I feel as his Subs weaken the team every week.

As for Caley, surprised to hear about Longstaff as any time we played Cove Rangers, he was their best player against us and caused us a lot of problems.

  10. Just a wee note to pick the brains of folk on here.

We had Four Buses booked for Saturday’s game and now the Bus Company have informed HAFSWO( The Accies Supporters Organisation)  that they can only provide ONE bus.

This leaves over 150+ fans(many with tickets) stranded, so if anyone knows any reliable Central Belt based Coach Firms can you contact the guys who run The Only Accies page on Facebook/Twitter.

Hopefully this can be sorted as I don’t want to see a repeat of last season’s Arbroath game when plenty of us had to watch the game in an Accies Pub after being let down then also.

  11. HAFSWO(Accies Supporters Organisation) have been placed in a pickle due to the Bus Company for Saturday now only providing ONE bus when there are FOUR full buses booked.

Anyone on here in The Central Belt who can help to secure buses(a lot of the folk on them have already purchased tickets) contact Only Accies Facebook/Twitter.

Hopefully, we can get it sorted and we can all get to the game.

Not sure that matters, I'm sure Peter MacDonald worked within the Rangers academy whilst playing for us and Dale Carrick is a youth coach at Hearts. When Stuart McLaren was Manager, he worked for Edusport, as did Barry Ferguson and Colin Cameron when they were at Kelty and Cowdenbeath, Edusport were a Lowland League side at the time.

Am I correct in saying Edusport are the previous version of Caledonian Braves who play out of Strathclyde Park?

Yeah they look a real threat tbf if it wasn't for invincible Falkirk they would've won league 1 comfortably. They'll be much more tougher then Montrose.

Seen that they finished their final league game against Kelty Hearts with 11 academy players which is impressive something ICT need to look at instead our chairman wants to scrap our youth academy

Some of these Academy players should be in the team now but Rankrotten continues to play his failing favourites.

We made hard work of that yesterday due to bad Subs-bar Rose, poor Game Management and not changing tactics against 10 men.

Finally, any likelihood of a Cash Gate on the day as I can foresee plenty of our fans bladdered with no phone battery as some of the buses are leaving back of 11am.

Is Rankin under contract next season?

    Sadly a 3 year extension.👿😡😢

Yesterday we witnessed a real Manager who got everything out of his team when down to 10 men against a clueless dud who had no idea what to do in that scenario.

As per usual, once the team was announced it met with the usual groans as Rankin’s favourites retained their place.

A nervy win although I think Alloa are better than Inverness, so we will see what transpires.

Nah, the reason you have the joint fewest goals against is down to Lang and Henderson's injuries and Donaldson's sending off!

We would have conceded even fewer with a fully fit Ryan Fulton and Jamie Hamilton a guy who produced the goods as a young player at the top level compared to any defender you lot have who have not produced at that level.

Think that's a bit harsh on Kilday he's rarely put a foot wrong all season imo and I think Kilday, Fergus and Longridge have all played a huge part on why we he have the joined least goals conceded in the league I thought Kilday done well last night as well. I do agree with what you said about McGowan though

I was having a go at McGowan; Kilday is ok but also injury prone and  a centre back partnership of a fully fit Jamie Hamilton and Fergus Owens would be the best pairing.

It would be a crying shame to see him on the bench somewhere and only getting 10/15 minutes here and there. So hopefully he gets a chance in the first team, takes it and nails down his spot. I've absolutely no doubt he's good enough. We've got Gallagher Lennon on loan from St Mirren too, who has really came onto a game lately. But Newbury is a better player. And St Mirren rate Gal very highly.

We'll scoosh the playoffs now we've got through a first leg without continuing our habit of conceding an average of 5 goals in 90 minutes. Every confidence

He has always been a cracking player for the Under 18’s/reserves and I have heard great things about him at Dumbarton.

He could easily play right back for us next season as ideally we have Jamie Hamilton/Fergus Owens as our central defensive pairing , although that Dud in the dugout will still play McGowan/Kilday.

Like most of our youth, they deserve better, but this Manager would rather play journeymen signed by The Investor in the Boardroom.
