I can’t really see him going to Northern Ireland. The top two teams are Linfield and Larne who have a cast of ex lower Championship and league one players from Scotland. The wages don’t seem to be life changing. Is it worth uprooting to Belfast for one potential champions league qualifier match? He’s got a young family to consider. I’d be really surprised if he chose that move. He could easily go to lower league in England and earn a couple of grand a week which could well be life changing for him. He deserves a decent move and I hope he’s being advised accordingly. The similar situation was Declan MacManus, he was offered £3k a week to go to Wales, he was never going to be able to turn that down

Larne signed Andy Ryan this time last year from Accies paying £3k a week wages straight from their wealthy Owner with the attraction of a potential League title and European football,so perhaps this may be the scenario here?

  2. No way the crowd was half that of the Cove game a few weeks ago but  the official quoted crowd will become the norm as folk are at the end of their tether with Rankin continually making the same mistakes.

Eight points dropped from games we should have won easily: Kelty Hearts,Edinburgh City,Montrose at home and away at Stirling missing a  90th minute penalty would have had us nip and tuck even with this clown in charge.

A team that musters a whole 700 fans for a crucial game has a DOF..wow

A bit of crowd jiggery going on as no way that crowd was half that of the Cove match a few weeks ago.

As for the game,I was laughing when we conceded that daft free kick and said to those around me they were a certainty to score in that their first attempt at goal in the second half.

New Manager needed as this group of players are getting worse every week under Rankin and changing to a back five today against s side who posed little threat was s sacking offence in itself.

  4. Great banter here between Accies and Falkirk reminiscent of our previous title challenges with Dundee in years gone by when both clubs would pull stunts on each other and this is another one.

Fwiw,I liked Tait as there is a player there but there is also a stinking attitude which if sorted would see him playing regularly at a higher level.

He strikes me as one of those players who if managed correctly will be dynamite, but if not he will drift from club to club.

John McGlynn knows him better than most,so time will tell.

See you guys have missed out on another of the links from the vacuous list of potential transfer targets in this window with Halliday heading to the Well from Jambos.

I’m surprised that your new owner hasn’t gone for fan’s favourite James McArthy who appears surplus to requirements at Parkhead.

Just what we need…another injury prone player training and playing on a plastic pitch lol.

Must be a few incoming soon with Tiwi away now too.

Only two recognised defenders on the squad atm 😆

Talk of Josh O’Brien signing on loan from Accies to the end of the season.

Decent enough player made a scapegoat by Rankin for one poor performance and who has funnily enough been replaced by Fergus Owens.

    Must have been wild then.

This time last year we were watching home games in The Bay Horse  on a dodgy feed due to the guys who run The Only Accies Podcast and the WAH Facebook private group  page being banned by the same guy behind these stunts.

Best turn out in January for years as the Pub was very busy with those boycotting in support of the banned.

Moreover this  was due to a made up fictitious account by this Director…allegedly which was uncovered leading to the aforementioned bans and the above scenario.

Todd is God on here was one of the recipients of the abusive messages from the fictitious account.

Other then Board members closed ranks until our new Owner acting as a broker solved the issue with the banned fans allowed back after a month missing games.

The current stooshie is a minor blimp compared to what went on then.

We do have a new owner now and he is liked by the fans and has been doing a good job so far however there is still a board member who was near/was top of the list of the shambles from last season and who is very much disliked from the fans. Wouldn't be surprised if he's the guy behind this article.

The stuff yesterday strikes me as Gerry thinking he is clever and trying to wind up Falkirk which will probably do the opposite.

Conversely, looking at it another way it is him letting other clubs know that the three players in question may be out of contract at the end of the season and this is a ruse to get bids for them.

Definitely not against Newbury going out on loan providing we get another CB in. I think Jamie Hamilton was around the age Newbury is now when he turned into John Stones for around six months, and that was with a good number of appearances under his belt, so I think it'll be good for Newbury to get some exposure to adult football in what should hopefully be a low-pressure environment. That said, if the league truly is gone for us then we could probably try and provide him the same, though I don't expect the club to think like that.

Hopefully McGinn gets back fit and sent out on loan too as this season's been a waste for him after showing some promise last season.

Puzzles me and plenty others how Stephen Hendrie always gets a start/Sub appearance before Chris McGinn.

As for Jamie Hamilton I thought perhaps he would have been the one going out on loan since he has basically missed not far off 2 years.

By not doing so,they must be planning on integrating him back in the team before the end of the season and ditto for Marley Redfearn who I also thought may have went out on loan.

Crazy to think it was not that long ago Jamie Hamilton was looking the next big thing after great displays in the top League.

Another great win for the 25 unbeaten. The who's in goals debate becoming irrelevant as last 3 home games there's hardly been a shot at our goals.

Thought Cove had a decent shape about them in the first half without really troubling us, however, the opening goal changed everything and after that I really didn't know what their strategy was. I mean at 2-0 down their goalie was taking his time with kick outs, it was like they were happy to lose and keep the margin down, a bit like Queens at the weekend.

It's great to watch a team where every starting player deserves their slot and there are literally no weak points, the subs bench being strong too.

I thought Nesbitt was MOTM tonight, but all players were very good.

Barring Hamilton signing several amazing players in the window, or us having a horrific run of injuries it's looking very promising. Cove well and truly out of it now though, if they weren't already.

Ffs,League was won the day we drew with Kelty 😅😀

Target for you guys now is to try to go through the season unbeaten I would imagine.

Falkirk are a TEAM;Accies a collection of talented individuals who will chuck it along with a clueless Manager in the Play Offs more than likely.

Williamson one is a weird one. Paying money for a guy on a permanent deal that can't get a game for Patrick and is never going to be good enough for rangers  I reckon they could easily have taken him on loan for the second half of the season as rangers would surely want him to be playing and then he's out of contract in the summer so if he'd done well signed him up then for a small comp fee.  If he's crap like he was at thistle then  they're stuck with  him for another year .

We have a few signed up like that who have been “coasting” in recent games.

Rankin has went the complete opposite from last season when we went into The Play Offs with half a team of loan players and all bar a couple of the rest out of contract to the aforementioned, plus guys who can’t get a game we are stuck with for another year and a half.

It's a long mile from Forthbank that's for sure

We've had 3 maulings of 5-0 this season..twice to the Grangemouth brigade, most recently on Saturday..all were cringeworthy & lacking in belief or desire from kick off...

O'hara's family are now in Falkirk I'm sure...

You should have tried growing up in Fallin during the 70's & 80's as a Catholic.... miner's strikes & hunger strikes... miserable and most bigoted place & people i will never forget

Hamilton has two of the most bigoted Schemes known to man in Burnbank(Burnbank Loyal flag appears when they play their hometown team) and The Oldtoon where Protestants have been tormented and bullied when they moved there.

Recently a Rangers Pub-Coopers- has opened in the Town Centre which already has a few "Plastic Paddy" pubs in the vicinity.

Accies punters tend to drink in the Pubs around Hamilton West area although the Butterburn Pub in the Town Centre is a well known Accies Pub and runs buses to away games on occasion.

Three stops on the train lies Larkhall lol which to be fair is better than it used to be and seems to be becoming more of a middle class commuter town.

Reading this thread and looking at the places nearby:Larkhall,Lanark,Bothwell,Blantyre,Stonehouse,Strathaven and Uddingston if folk from these places supported The Accies then we would be a well supported provincial team but I would say Hamilton,Coatbridge and Clydebank are probably the three worst towns for locals flocking to the Old Firm.

Miller has a much better pedigree than Williamson though. He actually played for Celtic and was a Scottish u21 international he's played now well over a hundred first team games. He has always had real talent but needed to screw the nut a bit. Williamson has never played for rangers and his career has been on a downward spiral for a wee while now. I certainly won't be losing sleep over them signing him.

Not the sort of signing that will have us jumping through hoops either.

I’ve heard that there are discussions going on between owners of Accies & Airdrie re potential merger of both clubs……..with a new name being Lanarkshire Celtgers to appease the “loyal” factions of both supports.

Ffs,you can do better than this😂

Any idea of who you guys are looking to bring in?

I know one who is “almost there” who would make an impact for any of the top 3 in our League.

Pay gate now set up. What an absolute shower of shit Hamilton are. Taking punters for mugs. People making special trips to Falkirk to get tickets and Hamilton taking no cost into consideration for fans and the admin costs of Falkirk. Tin pot

Told  you all this would happen as it always does for these types of games,so no surprise.

Tbh,I don't agree with the way this is always done for big away supports but last season we played Airdrie and Fanbase showed the away end completely sold out only for there to be a few hundred empty seats in the Airdrie end,so who knows if this played a part?

Just remembered we played East Kilbride a few months ago in The Challenge Cup and it was Fanbase for home fans and physical tickets for us,so a big fuss about nothing.
