Some of the comments on social media are unbelievable

3rd top of the league, first league defeat of the season by a non OF side, who are in the top 6

    Squad ravaged by illness

One roaster was comparing it to losing 4 goals to Alloa under Coughlin 😂

When we’re in the Europa League and Dundee are back in the Championship next season, this thread will be comedy gold

This is some meltdown you are having mate. It's going to be a long night for you.

On a different note, why is the English referees’ body allowing their officials to go abroad to referee matches that has f**k all to do with the English game?

Does this not happen all the time though? English officials are in charge of Europa League games on Thursday nights for example and then referee on the Saturday in England.

Brighton pipping Tottenham to sign Ansu Fati was not something I expected.

£250k a week for a boy who has a shocking injury record. And it's just a one year loan. I can see why most teams including Spurs passed on this one.

Didn't realise they were bidding for Haaland.

Can't believe Bayern have continuously bid for Kane oblivious to the fact that he has no interest in joining them. Think this story has more to run.

He agreed personal terms with Bayern weeks ago, long before Spurs agreed a fee. That makes the delay now even stranger.

  5. Got to feel a bit sorry for Ange. 2 days to the first game of the season and he doesn't know if his starting 11 will have the best striker in world football (apart from the robot!) or fucking Richarlison!

  6. Strange game today probably due to first game of the season nerves and poor conditions for playing football. Plus points for me were performances of McCowan, Beck and Mulligan. Not impressed with Boateng or Bakayoko but early days and hopefully they improve. Overall a decent point as I think Motherwell looked like a team who can push for top 6.

It might be better all round for them if they let Kane go and had a total reset from top to bottom. He seems to loom too big at that club at the moment.

I think Kane will stay and then leave on a free after this coming season. He will be able to take his pick from any team in Europe.

Loving the "#NotoAnge, we deserve better" patter from Spurs fans.

Tremendous entitlement from a club that, in the last 10 years, has had both Mourinho and Conte as their manager, and yet is still woefully average at best in the grand scheme of things

last 4 years you mean! they were actually better off 10 years ago when they had Poch. At least he managed a Champions League final and a few top 3 finishes. That's where the entitlement comes from I suppose. Ange is a much better fit for a club like Spurs than Mourinho and Conte. Someone who doesn't feel he is doing Spurs a favour.

I don’t think you’ve been watching Arsenal very often.

Zinchenko might have been listed at LB on the BBC graphic but he certainly wasn’t playing it.

Oh I have watched him plenty of times. His defending in the left back area often wasn't great either. Being nutmegged by Trent in the Liverpool match (in the left back area) springs to mind. More recently, falling on his arse against Murphy in the Newcastle match. In the left back area. Zinchenko was replaced by Tierney - the left back.

  10. I am sure he is a great lad to have around the dressing room and he maybe deserves a contract based on everything he has given the club over the years. But unfortunately he is way below the standard required to keep us up next season. I am hoping he will just be used as a back up.
