Suppose so but outside of our Scottish bubble we probably all get tarred with the same brush. There's a massive self loathing element in this country highlighted perfectly by kuntz like Murdo Fraser. Winds aye in their faces stuff.

Well Done Clapping GIF by MOODMAN

This pish is the equivalent (if your my age) of a Shock ! Horror ! news item in the paper that you see the next day in your chip wrapper.

I mean, I'm out to get wellied with mates tomorrow pre and post match, I dont think I need a flash card or google reminder to tell me not to be a kunt to disabled people...................

All these folk in the media know that too but it's just entrenched nonsense. Murdo Fraser basically spinning it as an avalanche of complaints = fail and no complaints = fail. This legislation will not stand or fall off the back of a pathetic centuries old football rivalry no matter how much they stir this plot up. Only in Scotland could legislation designed to offer legal protection to the most vulnerable in society be reduced to the lowest common denominator of football bigotry. Says it all about us unfortunately.

  3. The media spin on this is utterly wild. STV news headline there that Sundays cheek derby will be the acid test of the new "hate law". So here we are in a position where the media who  are normally "outraged" at any arrests at such an event now cheerleading for there to be arrests made using the new laws for it not to be branded a dud. So arrests / no arrests it's got no chance regardless.

ETA they just had some total roaster on who suggested that people watching on TV, in their own fucking home, could be forced to make a complaint if they feel they were placed in a state of fear or alarm by "behaviour" at the game. What planet do these morons live in, get a life ffs, how on earth can pictures and sound from a plastic box in the corner of your own living room make anyone "feart" to such an extent that they feel the need to report said behaviour to the police.

Is it fair to be comparing Livingstons "dormant" support to that of Kilmarnock?

Far as I can see Livingsons move in 1995 virtually forced them to rebuild their fanbase from scratch so it's not as if there's thousands of generational fans just waiting for an upturn to crawl out the woodwork when things are going well.

You are massively missing the point here. The decision by Saints and Killie was nothing to do with "fans crawling out the woodwork when things are going well". In Saints case following the fan ownership handover there was a groundswell of opinion within SMISA members that enough was enough when it came to having the bigot brothers in both ends. The club took that on board but pointed out the implications. The support decided that the mitigations to the implications were doable and so it came to pass that they receive the same away allocation as every other club (about 1600). Saints fans have bought into it and crowds are better than they have been in years with bigger crowds leading to more cash and a better squad plus a much better match day experience. It's a win / win.

Value fish fingers aren't very good.

Mum 'disgusted' after spotting fish eggs in Asda meal moments before toddler tucked in

Caitlyn Lawton, 19, said she made the unpleasant discovery after cooking the fish fingers from the Just Essential range for her two year old boy, Austin

A young mum was left horrified after an unwelcome discovery in her son's meal. Caitlyn Lawton, 20, bought frozen fish fingers from Asda's Just Essential range for her toddler Austin's tea.

But after sticking them in the oven and getting ready to serve them to her wee boy one evening last April, she was left aghast at what she uncovered.

After cutting up the fish fingers to make them easier for Austin to eat, she realised that the tasty treats were filled with fish eggs.

  6. You wonder where Rowlings descent through the looking glass will end. She appears to be totally consumed by her perceived "culture war" and from afar looking on objectively it looks to be a tail spin that is going to end in some sort of meltdown. I can never get my head round how folk like her, Fox, Linehan or even Spence get sucked into it in the first place. Surely their standing from their "day job" gives them enough publicity to thrive on without donning the tinfoil hat !!!

  7. Wondered how long it would take for stories like this to appear. Do they routinely have front page splashes regarding events like the Cheltenham festival, Nottinghill Carnival or Wimbledon being a target or is this Jonny Foreigner not being able to protect us ?

I am a 42 year old project manager with a degree in history/politics. I have always dreamt of being an astronaut (or cosmonaut/taikonaut/spationaut) and spending a year on the ISS. How do you suggest I make this happen?

Buy a nice bottle of malt, get wired in and hey presto.

So, is it glass half-full or glass half-empty now that the dust has settled ?

Surely still half full. 2pts off fourth and a point to guarantee top 6 although I suspect we will be there regardless. Dundee finishing top 6 will be interesting as we will surely be due 3 home games post split. No doubt we will get shafted if it comes to that.

  10. I had a massive strawberry bed (no euph) that started with 10 runners from a few plants I used to have in tubs. They are thugs though and over the last 5 years they have spread all over the raised bed I grow my veg in. Today I dug every plant out (over 100, well over) and replanted 20 of last years runners in a now more contained area. Old muscles are aching a bit tonight but it looks so much better and should ensure continued good crops for the next few years. 1st big job of the season ticked off.

  11. I'm on the countdown, finish up just before I go to Germany hence no return flight booked. Feels weird to be honest despite planning and looking forward to it for a while. Planning an extended trip to Australia after New Year so the logistics of that will be the main focus for the next few months and will take it from there. Still deciding whether to "future proof" our current home or move. That's next years project.

  12. There are very few if any players who can consider themselves unlucky not be getting a chance to stake a claim despite this run. The squad is thin bar 8 or 9 "automatic if fit" picks. The fact no one is challenging the current squad "filler" tells you all you need to know about Clarke's dilemma.

Which now looks like it's all going to be for naught. Well, other than three more ducks. That's seven without a win since we qualified, and we've just been papped at home to Norn Iron.

Pretty much all the same things we laugh at Southgate and England for isn't too dissimilar to what we're now facing. A stubborn manager that is out of ideas.

Loyalty to the same players also means complacency for said players, and makes those on the periphery become disillusioned.

Clarke deserves immense criticism for how badly things have gone. The fact they were actually going right frankly only makes this situation worse. We should be going to this tournament with the belief that we can really compete - instead we're probably going to be whipping boys again who are there simply to make up the numbers. We should all be buzzing, but it has gone totally sour.

Still, at least we should beat Gibraltar before we go! Dykes and Adams will probably get hat-tricks to show what absolute ballers they are.

This sort of loser pish is why we will always struggle as a nation. We should have pumped the illegitimate statelet and the Taffs still would have been beaten.

    'Good laugh whatever happens.'

We should be targeting the last eight if we have any ambition whatsoever. Well, that was the hope before this international break.

What a state to get yourself into over a friendly practice game. Yes shite performance and result but it was meaningless in the grand scheme of things. We have gone into tournaments in great form before and failed miserably,  it means nothing come June.

I don’t disagree but since you asked here are two examples.

    Ryan Jack?

I’d argue that Turnbull is potentially a better option when fit and playing regularly with his club side.

    Kenny McLean?

As a St Mirren fan I’d say that Turnbull is a player we should be looking towards building around for the future instead of the mayor of Norwich.

Sure we can argue that they cover different roles but I personally had hoped that Turnbull would have kicked on at Celtic.

Armstrong and Christie are good servants for Scotland but guys like Turnbull will be the future.

Maybe someone will have some pie charts to compare? 😂

I've never thought of Turnbull as a holding midfielder much more attacking than the role either Jack or McLean play for Scotland.

  15. Early tatties in today but despite the lovely sandy Ayrshire soil here I don't think I have ever seen the ground so wet. Glorious day today mind will help. Noticed the first purple sprouting broccoli sprouts are showing now too. Should get a pick in 3-4 weeks.

  16. Not sure if it's just me but I go into every season thinking Saints have a realistic chance of winning either of the major national cup competitions. Whether that stems from having actually seen us do just that or not I don't know but I would be surprised and a tad saddened if every fan of a "diddy" didn't think likewise otherwise what's the point. It's the hope that kills you as they say.
