Im struggling to get my head round this now - Surely Miller is paying £11m for RFC as they exist today. He is then transferring the Assets to a newco but leaving the debt with RFC however Miller surely owns both and therefore he is liable for the debts of RFC as much as he owns the Assets of the newco ? He has to have bought the a company debts, assets the lot whether he transfers some of that company to a newco is surely just a technicality.

So who is trying to secure a CVA then if not Miller - the administrators on behalf of the old co and what cash is used to finance said CVA - the £11m or whatever Miller is going to pay ??? If Miller is then nothing to do with the Old Co how does he then plan to merge the newco and the old co at the end of his grand plan ?

Why so much doom and gloom. The fact the Duffers have even agreed in principal to look into this plan proves how much trouble RFC are in. In simple terms this Yank is willing to gamble £11m to buy who knows how much debt (80m??? 100m ??? 150m???) in the hope he can transfer what flesh left on the rotting carcass to a newco leaving behind the putrid rotting bones as RFC. He then needs to take a huge leap of faith in so far as he has to hope that he can persuade the creditors to accept peanuts in the pound (highly unlikely). To pay said peanuts he has to cross his fingers in the hope that the newco are allowed to play in some league where they can then generate enough money (despite certain punitive barriers) to finance the CVA payments which given a lack of Europe and financial penalties will take years and all this before the yank can merge the 2 to sell for what he hopes will be a profit. Good luck with that Mr Miller - complete pie in the sky.

FFS this is sounding like a forum for menopausal women - moods swinging wildly from day to day. Get a grip chaps (or some HRT patches). As far as I can see the SPL chairman did exactly what you would have expected yesterday. Why give anyone connected to RFC the slightest opportunity to lay blame at their door. The correct thing to do is to let the administration take it's course then see where everyone stands.

What we are seeing from the likes of McCoist, Jardine and Watty now is the equivalent of a stampede for the lifeboats on a sinking ship - it should be women and children first but the way Jardine was speaking yesterday smacks of a trample over the women and kids to ensure they get their place in the safety of the lifeboat and to hell with the rest of them. They all realise it's now an every man for himself scenario and more and more "Rangers minded" types (e.g. Hatelely this week too) will be preparing to make their run for it as I type. The ship is sinking ever so slowly but I think they are finaly starting to realise that - they just haven't accepted it was their own crew that are to blame.

I'm pretty sure the TUPE legislation regarding transfer of employment would apply i.e. the jobs would transfer over to the new co however those in the jobs could exercise their right not to - in other words they could all leave if they wanted. In effect what would happen would be the norm in reverse in a situation like this.

WTF !!! You really don't grasp this at all do you. If RFC cease to exist the other 10 teams would be in control within the SPL so why on earth would they want to jump ship to RFCNewCo's league - they would be back to square 1. Despite what the "Celtic minded" might say when presented with the question Celtic DO need Rangers to exist in the manner they have been accusomed too. Sounds like the old Celtic paranoia is alive and well which just proves to me that you KNOW your time is up.

I wonder when Celtic supporters are going to realise that liquidation for Rangers will spell the end of the OF monopoly in Scottish football. It's interesting that even the thought of 100 plus years or arrogant bullying domination unravelling before their very eyes still isn't enough for them to realise that without Rangers they can no longer control Scottish football. Instaed of 2 dictating to the rest it will be 10 dictating to 1 should Rangers cease to exist.

If Rangers players are being given the option of having their contracts ripped up and hence they are free agents (as with Wylde and Celik today) then why would ANY of them especially those at the lower end of their pay scale wish to wait and take a huge pay cut. Most would be able to pick up a club in the Championship almost certainly on more money than their reduced wage would be waiting at Ibrox. Clearly it's in Rangers best interests to retain any player who would command a decent transfer fee once the window opens again so those will be the ones they will have to compromise with and by the sounds of it McGregor, Davis, Whittaker etc are all too aware of this and they appear to be the ones playing hard ball. They can't afford to offload their biggest assets right now but to retain them means having to persuade the "poorer" paid player to take a bigger share of the pain which won't be easy. Bottom line is they cannot function with only the services of the 5 or 6 top earners - they need to retain some sort of squad to fulfill their fixtures. What all of this farce does smack of is extremely weak administrators - sounds to me like the guys appointed to make the cuts and sort out the mess are being dictated to by the playing staff and management which is completely wrong. I honestyly can't see these guys being able to sort this out but who regulates the administrators - who are duff and phelps or whatever they are called responsible to ?

I was just thinking that it seems to be taking an extraordinary amount of time for the Administrators to be seen to be taking any measures to reduce outgoings. One non 1st team player moved on is hardly making any impact. Whittaker, McGregor and Davis will have amassed around 100K in wages alone since the club entered administration.

Of course they are. The only thing now standing in their way will be the SPL / SFL. They will tootle along until the end of the season in admin then liquidate and form a new company. The liquidation will create a vacancy in the SPL. The only parties now that can stop Whyte's grand plan are the SPL / SFL. The newly formed club will apply to fill the vacancy in the SPL created by the demise of RFC and it will be up to them to accept or decline their bid. If the SPL accept them then that's it. If they say "on your bike - no relegation or 2 up this season" then the newly formed company will need to apply for membership of the SFL . I think we can all see how this is going to pan out now.
