  1. I don't care if you're up front, in goals or on the sidelines with both your legs in plaster - just make sure you're at all the games "fir the patter, eh".
  2. I want to perform the GIES celebration again but without having to run the 500km to find you.
  3. Your Fives team and your teammates at Pie and Bovril FC eagerly await your return.
  4. Wait until someone scores when we're not 4-1 down, it'll be everyone in the centre circle with the Bag o' Menage or an armful o' GIES.
  5. I saw The Killers at King Tuts all the way back in 2004 just before Mr Brightside was released in the UK. You could tell that night that this band were immmense and, although recent LPs have been slightly awry, they've done quite well for themselves.
  6. Frankmusik's video for In Step - it's really low budget and just has a girl dancing in a living room with hula hoops, but it's quite excellent, "both musically and artistically". I quite like how I saw him before he got famous
  7. A guy called Frankmusik. He's one of the guys riding the current synth-pop zeitgeist that's in the charts along with the likes of Little Boots and La Roux. While Confusion Girl sounds a bit like Mika (!), he's got some absolute belters, the aforementioned Better Off As 2, When You're Around, In Step and Three Little Words are superb pop nuggets. Have a look at his stuff on YouTube, he's very, very good.
  8. I saw him support Alphabeat at King Tuts a year ago, some of his stuff is superb. Don't like Confusion Girl all that much, it lacks the same punch as the likes of Better Off As 2 and Three Little Words. His album's out next Monday, something to look forward to.
  9. Big up on the avatar by the way, I'm going to see him at King Tuts at the end of the month.
  10. There was two wee pieces there, one of them might have been called Margaret. A guy who did indeed look like McLovin, all he would have needed to complete the looks would have been a waistcoat, then he would've looked identical to Aladdin. I spent my remaining moments on a sofa, on my own, with the hiccups. I was belligerent.
  11. The reason it didn't materialise was because I was fucking melted. Decent night likes, cannae whack a KFC.
  12. I play the bass. Heard but not seen, ken. I'm glad you like it man! We used to be reasonably popular with the people on this site, my my falling stock has see the popularity of the band crash. I'd say we're pop/shoegaze/alternative - I think because we've got an underscore in our MySpace name, we can't put down our genre! Quite annoying. Our guitar player is pretty excellent and uses his FX units to the full. He's got some arsenal - whammy pedals, envelope filters, slicers, delay, digital reverb... I don't like riffs and all that, but I like soundscapes and that with the guiter... Quite wanky.
  13. We're called Marlow. You can listen to us here. The songs up there are a bit old, due to the prohibitive costs of recording. We don't sound much like the U2 tribute band you hear there as much anymore! We're not bad, we're hoping to get Who Do You Love (available as a snippet on the MySpace page) as a single then go on tour in England. We were looking at promoters and that last night who'll put us on in London. Fingers crossed!
  14. It must have been about over a year ago. That was the last tim we played there. Last time I was there was January to see my brother's band and it was some plukey youth behind the desk, so maybe "His Dudeness" had left... He was around mid-30s, longish sunbleached hair, he was into his surfing... All the barstaff called him "Dude".
  15. Last time we were there is was "The Dude" who was doing the sound. Incredibly, he asked us to refer to him as "The Dude" or "Dude" instead of his Christian name. Very Big Lebowski. We still get e-mails on MySpace from Suzie asking us to play shows. She's a wee piece if I remember correctly. Rammstein nicked it from that band who sang A Horse With No Name!
  16. I'll have a listen when I get in the house. What sort of stuff is it you do? On topic, I'm going to see FRANKMUSIK at King Tuts (17th July).
  17. Box is OK. There's usually a reasonable crowd, but the sound can sometimes be haphazard. We've played there a few times and it's ranged from "decent" to "poor". Good to see you've named a song after Razorlight's tune.
  18. Haha me too. I didn't care much for Stiller or Aniston, but he was superb in it, especially when they're playing basketball. WHITE CHOCOLATE!
  19. Philip Seymour Hoffman is quite funny in it, no? I watched Predator last night. 7/10.
