  1. Jeezo... or all the complaints about Kilt's posts being too lurid and too sordid, you actually miss them when he's not here. The entertainment value is top notch.
  2. I think it's actually a pretty decent song. It's not exactly Tears From Heaven or anything like that, but you can feel the sentiment.
  3. Jings, just had a quick look at mine, mine's has changed too. I AM FURIOUS.
  4. Who is he? He looks mighty pleased with himself.

  5. Which paper do you work for? Are you a football scout? You need to more speciifc and less cryptic.
  6. Why are you going to the Stenhousemuir -vs- Arbroath game tomorrow? What's your agenda?
  7. I've read it a couple of times. There's a few inconsitencies (a 15 year old boy would never have gotten in to Rosies; the boys would not be sitting in the car talking about Physics; why would anyone have invited them to that party, even if it was a joke?) and the symbolism is quite heavy-handed, but it's a decent enough read. Possibly the only time that Stenhousemuir has ever been mentioned in a novel. You can tell that Bissett, as you mentioned, has read Salinger, Welsh and probably watched plenty of John Hughes films (the director, not the football manager).
  8. Ah, David Mowat, that instantly recogniseable A-list celebrity. I can see the resemblence.
  9. You're more than welcome to them. They're probably getting fired into the nearest skip or bush on the walk home this afternoon.
  10. A few weeks ago at work, I was sitting next to some old boy during my lunchbreak. We got chatting, as one does, and I told him that I had been watching the film Downfall the previous night. He told me that he had a fascination for all things WWII and had a colletcion of magazines from the late 70s that covered pretty much all aspects of the war, from the tactical battles, to the soldeirs, to the artilery that both sides used. I said, That sounds quite ineteresting, just trying to be polite and that, thinking nothing of it... ... and today the old boy has brought in two Co-op carrier bags full of these magazines for me
  11. As soon as I left the bookmakers, I thought I had made a mistake adding them to my line. They've lost their two best players over the summer and are decent at best. I shan't be adding them to my accumulators again.
  12. I feel your pain. I had £5 on a six team accumulator on Saturday. I had marked down wins for Stoke City, Rangers, Brechin City, Stirling Albion, Forfar Athletic and Queen of the South... and every result came up with the exception of Queens, who conceded an 80th minute equaliser at Airdrie. I would have won £144.28 as well. Very regrettable.
  13. His posts are pretty dismal though, aren't they? He often just quotes a post and adds What a twat.
  14. When you start putting the accents into your swear words, they really lose their power and effect.
  15. I'll probably see the guys from Croma tomorrow night. I'll pass on your kind words.
