  1. There was one moment where Sin Cara had the other lad on his back and was obviously intending to drop him down on his shoulders for a fancy pin, but he just stood there awkwardly for a good few seconds before releasing the hold. It just looked plain daft.
  2. I saw the best part of this but fell asleep midway through the final match. It was a decent-enough PPV - I think it suffers in comparison to Revolution (now THAT was amazing). The match between Balor and Neville was incredible - I had a strong suspicion Balor would win but the number of counters and close calls made it something special. Itami and Breeze also gave a decent account of themselves - when's he going to drop the GTS? The tag-team match was full of botches and I can't really get behind Baron Corbin. He looks the part, but that's about it. The Divas match was solid too.
  3. Sheamus is a bad wrestler and a terrible character and I am forlorn to see him returning to our screens.
  4. I got the network at the beginning of the month and it's been pretty excellent so far. It's a little tricky to navigate around and it's a little crappy when you want to skip through to certain points on a clip, but you can't argue with the level of content on there. I'll certainly be keeping it beyond Wrestlemania. I started off watching some of the old PPVs from 1998 I had on VHS (I didn't realise how raunchy the whole thing was at the time - I remember being 12 years old and having a copy of Fully Loaded) and I've got fired into the Monday Night Wars. I just watched the second one about the rise of nWo - brilliant stuff. Are they still in the process of adding up episodes of Raw? I wanted to watch the infamous Jackie Gayda tag-team match from 2002 but it's not on there.
  5. Completely off topic but whatever happened to Noel Makombo?
  6. Yeah man, never thought I'd go off Dean Ambrose but really can't get into this stuff with Wyatt (I'm a big fan of his too). There was no real need for them to feud - Ambrose's beef with Rollins was pretty great fun as it was, so there was no need to suddenly pair him with Wyatt like that (although I appreciate Rollins has moved on). Wyatt's promos are just the same schtick over and over again.
  7. Yeah, he was beaten up on the run up to Survivor Series and written out for the time being. Just as well, he's one of my least favourite superstars. Cannae stand his schtick. What does he do? Who is he for?
  8. Really wish they'd stop making Rollins look like such a pussy. The guy's been the best thing in it over the last 12 months but the constant whining and the need for outside interference from J and J Security does him no favour - I know it's to play up to his heel persona but he's so much better than that. Always quite like Johnny Curtis as a wrestler but the Fandango gimmick needs to go. Can't ever take it seriously.
  9. I think last night's might have been the poorest Raw of the year so far. With the exception of Ambrose smashing up Wyatt's rocking chair, I found very little of interest. The start was an absolute rabble, the push for A New Day seems redundant after they jobbed in that tag match (as an aside, I'm devastated to see Cesaro reduced to such nonsense, it really breaks my heart) and the main event was guff.
  10. Listening to the podcast right now and it's fascinating stuff. I got into the wrestling immediately after the Royal Rumble so I never got the chance to see Punk fight but my friends tell me he was one of the best in the business. Disappointed he won't ever come back but who can blame him?
  11. Breaks my heart to see what they're doing with Cesaro. From the Andre the Giant Memorial winner to jobbing to Ryback, his fall from grace has been upsetting.
  12. This is absolutely garbage stuff. With the exception of Damian Sandow's turn, it's been a rum episode. As always, anything involving the Bella twins is rotten - are they being pushed to compensate for Daniel Bryan's absence? Mark Henry's burgeoning feud with Rusev is more or less the same as the feud between Rusev and Jack Swagger - "America's great, and I'm going to prove it!" and so on. Shouts to the brer shouting "Don't do it! He's only got one leg!" when Goldust battered one of those Uso jobbers.
  13. Lee Murray is stepping down as chairman - CLICK. What happened? What happens next?
  14. My Bo Dallas highlight was from a couple of weeks ago when, during his victory lap, he clattered into El Torito outside the ring and sent him flying.
  15. Is there a definitive list of players released by the club? There's nothing on the website. The only boy I know who left is the mercurial Kris Faulds.
  16. Lauchlan Cameron pretty much intimated that in his recent statement on the Ayr website. Certainly sounds as though DAFC made him an offer he couldn't refuse: We were all disappointed to lose Michael period never mind to a competitor, but the fact is there was no way we would be able to compete with the financial package they put on the table for him. What we did do is offer him a more than competitive wage for this division, a job within the community department that would most likely go beyond his playing career and a coaching school with his name on it. I was also hoping that given his trouble with the SFA this year and the support we gave him during that time with continued financial and moral support that it would tip the balance in our favor.
  17. Is there a definitive list of the players who have left the club (including loans) anywhere? Couldn't find one on the official site.
  18. Dang, was hoping Stenny would sign him. Another fantastic piece of business. Two of the best players in the division and a talented young centre-back - heady times.
  19. Two pretty damn good signings for Dunfermline today. Moffat, well, he was the best striker in the division last season and pretty much dragged an ordinary side into fourth place. I've been pretty impressed with Buchanan on the occasions I've seen him - he's well built, reads the game well and is particularly threatening from set-pieces.
  20. Seems very strange - sounds like he was well-liked by Campbell Money and that the pair had worked together in the past. It was fairly evident he wasn't much of a left-back. He really wasn't much of anything by the time he pitched up with us.
  21. Jesus, what a boob. Should have read his Wikipedia page first. But he was genuinely appalling and would go down as the worst left-back I've ever seen at Stenny had it not been for Stephen Thomson. Henderson's first match for us was against Queen's Park and he was tasked with marking Davie Weatherston. It was absolute carnage from the start.
  22. Tommy Wright at St Johnstone and Stuart Garden, the recently departed Montrose manager, were both goalies during their playing days.
  23. Gleefully pinched from the Premiership forum - who is the worst manager your club have ever appointed? It's my thread, so I'll get the ball rolling. I've only been watching Stenhousemuir for the last ten years so I'm too green to remember Jimmy Bone and his ilk, but my nomination is Campbell Money. Originally appointed as the Head of Youth Development in 2005, he replaced Des McKeown midway through the dreadful 2006-07 season. During his first few months, he brought some absolute fucking no-marks into Ochilview at the time - how about Darren Henderson, a 41-year-old left-back who'd never played senior football before? Or how about Andy Thomson, the Queen of the South legend who cut the most uninterested guys I've ever seen before? Or Boab McCulloch, the immobile centre-back who couldn't kick, head or block the ball? On top of that, he over-promoted a bunch of duff youngsters into the team, many of who immediately disappeared - remember Rhys Galloway, Robbie Peebles, Stephen Greenlees or Scott Johnston? There was also moving players out of position for no reason - Craig Menzies had been playing at full-back for most of his senior career but was moved into the middle of the park while guys like Paul "The Bucket" Tyrell filled in instead. On top of that, the football was just really shite to watch. Christ. I think we finished seventh that season. He began the 2007-08 by replacing some shite players with more shite players. John Hillcoat. Tam Murdoch. Ross Hamilton. Results were terrible but eventually came to a head at the beginning of October 2007 when the team were humped 7-0 at East Fife (!). He was returned to his role with the youth players before leaving to join the SFA (!) in January 2009. Your turn, lads.
