  1. This thread is designed as the definitive place to read up on all of Stenhousemuir's transfer activity and developments over the next few months. Every other team has their own close-season topic, and the Warriors should be no different. What we do know: Colin McMenamin, Kieran Millar and Ciaran Summers are all signed on for next season Chris Smith and Ross McMillan have joined Stirling Albion, while Bryan Hodge has moved on to Forfar Athletic Paul McMullan has returned to Celtic at the end of his loan agreement and is very unlikely to come back next term David Irons has returned to Ochilview as an assistant manager The playing budget for next season will be cut by around 25 per cent Plenty to get to grips with in there, anyway. Of the players out of contract, I think it's important we keep Alan Lithgow, Ross Meechan and Greg Fleming. I think there might be a player somewhere in Jamie McCormack and reckon he might just do us a turn. The rest can go. I'd feel a little sorry for Josh Watt as he tries his best but he's just too damn frustrating but the rest have let us down or haven't been good enough. We can't be expected to duke it out at the bottom of the division with laconic jobbers like Tony Marenghi in the side. As I said on another thread, this year will be a struggle but at least we're mentally prepared for it. At this stage I'd reckon we'll finish in the lower reaches of the table, if not bottom. I'm hoping to be a little more positive come August.
  2. When I interviewed Buchanan for the Pelé Podcast I got the feeling he wasn't going to be sticking around. I wonder where he'll end up. I can see him joining someone like Raith Rovers.
  3. No great fan of Cena's character and I love seeing him get bodied (the defeat to Brock Lesnar at last year's SummerSlam was a joy) but when he's on point he can be excellent. He was great against Sami Zayn on Raw and even better in the triple-threat match at the Royal Rumble. He always seems to raise his game for PPVs, and I admire that. Wouldn't mind seeing him turn, mind you, but that's never going to happen and we just have to accept that.
  4. Alright lads, hope you're all well. I recorded a podcast with the iconic Bobby Mann that might be worth a listen - CLICK. There's a lot of ICT stuff in here as you'd expect (I couldn't find a thread for them) but there's some real insight into his time at Dundee, particularly working alongside Alan Kernaghan. Something for everyone in here, I say.
  5. Board statement - CLICK. Some very interesting reading in here. Neil McCann is leaving at the end of the season. This is a tremendous line: "could some players not handle the sheer weight of expectation that comes from being at this club?"
  6. Hello friends, I recorded a podcast with ya boi Iain Russell - CLICK. Really enjoyed speaking to Iain, comes across as a top guy. He speaks a lot about Queen of the South before looking back at the rest of his career. I'm sure you'll find this worth your while.
  7. Cheers, changed that to "league matches" in the opening paragraph. Might be someone to look about speaking with in the future - he's certainly got a story to tell.
  8. Alright lads, here's 3000-odd words about Arbroath's decline over the past few months - CLICK. Weird to think that the Lichties might still win promotion at the end of the year but it's been one weird season. Shouts to yer boi Simon Lichtie for some of the insight in here. If there's any major mistakes, please write a comment below; it's the only way I'll learn.
  9. Was just coming on to post the same thing. Three good matches (the first one in particular) and a good documentary about Itami's big day out at Wrestlemania - all very enjoyable.
  10. Just catching up on Monday's episode. It was good to Neville duking it out with Seth Rollins (although a little disappointing to see him job so early into his career on the main roster) and the Prime-Time Players look like decent fun but the rest of it was pretty rank. Fast-forwarded most of it. Disappointing, although not entirely unexpected, so see it revert to mince after last week's decent showing. How shite is Naomi by the way? I think she botched every move she went for.
  11. I posted this on the Alloa thread but I think it'll hold equal traction in here. Earlier this evening, I recorded a podcast with Greig Spence - CLICK. Spence talks in-depth about his career but there's some excellent stuff in there about his time at Raith Rovers - he discusses his relationship with Grant Murray, the Challenge Cup win over Rangers and his decision to leave the club last summer. There's also a load of good stuff about his career. Something for everyone.
  12. Alight lads, earlier this evening I recorded a podcast with young Greig Spence - CLICK. The podcast starts and finishes with him talking about his time at Alloa; there's also plenty of stuff in there about his time at Celtic, Hamilton and Raith Rovers. Something for everyone! I think he comes across very well in it. He's probably been my favourite person to speak to since we started the series.
  13. Haha! I apologise. Team Hell No were good fun. I think Kane and Big Show still have a purpose to play but they shouldn't be anywhere near main events.
  14. Nah man, that was a dreadful angle. Kane, who's been more or less a perma-jobber for the last couple of years, is suddenly recast as "the Devil's favourite demon" and is going around chasing after Bryan and his wife and we're supposed to believe he's a frightening prospect again! It's not 1997. All it involved was Bryan looking like a beta and Brie Bella shrieking. A waste of everyone's time, especially Bryan's.
  15. Alright lads, I recorded a podcast last night with Gregor Buchanan - CLICK. He talks about his career so far, from the juniors to signing for Dunfermline Athletic. He also talks a bit about his time at Airdrie so there's something in there for everyone.
  16. The Last of US This game pretty much has everything - an outstanding story, beautifully rendered characters, incredible graphics and tension all the way through. I think I cried when I completed it. Final Fantasty VII I must have put in more than 150 hours playing this. For similar reasons as above - a hugely immersive world with some great characters and a genuinely unpleasant bad guy. I was never able to defeat Ruby Weapon though. Broken Sword: The Shadow of the Templars George Stobbart must be one of the best characters in video game history. A well-drawn, sarcastic dweeb who gets caught up in events he can't quite understand. It's challenging, engaging, hilarious and looks brilliant. I wasn't a fan of the remastered version though, you couldn't be killed in it, which took away a large element of danger. Red Dead Redemption One of the only games I've ever got a 100 per cent completion rate on. I loved the whole "Grand Theft Auto" in the Wild West feel of the game. John Marston is a brilliant character too. Sonic the Hedgehog 2 A great game from my youth, easy to play and just brilliant fun. Big shouts to FIFA 2015; Championship Manager 00-01; Resident Evil 2; Uncharted 2 and 3; Heavy Rain; The Walking Dead; and Streets of Rage.
  17. Owens' performance on NXT the other night was tremendous and exactly the way you sum him up here. He joined the lads on commentary for Finn Balor's match with Brian Kendrick and got upset over something Alex Riley said to him - the stare and the way he said "I'm going to leave before I do something I regret" was pretty damn ominous, and sure enough, at the end of the match, he returned to the commentary booth and threw Riley across the desk before staring down Balor. A genuinely scary guy. NXT is really great.
  18. His miss right at the end of Dunfermline's 0-1 defeat at Stenhousemuir was the worst I've ever seen.
  19. Is Smackdown worth watching these days? My impression of it was that it was a bit more fighting and no story progression compared to Raw.
  20. Big fan of Owens but I do wish he'd stop going on about how he's doing this for his family, it makes his seem like such a candy-ass.
  21. I was thinking the same thing, I was hoping for something outrageous but it was, "Oh, he was doing that the last time". I really hate to nit-pick like this, maybe because Revolution was just so damn outstanding. It set the bar too high.
  22. There was one moment where Sin Cara had the other lad on his back and was obviously intending to drop him down on his shoulders for a fancy pin, but he just stood there awkwardly for a good few seconds before releasing the hold. It just looked plain daft.
  23. I saw the best part of this but fell asleep midway through the final match. It was a decent-enough PPV - I think it suffers in comparison to Revolution (now THAT was amazing). The match between Balor and Neville was incredible - I had a strong suspicion Balor would win but the number of counters and close calls made it something special. Itami and Breeze also gave a decent account of themselves - when's he going to drop the GTS? The tag-team match was full of botches and I can't really get behind Baron Corbin. He looks the part, but that's about it. The Divas match was solid too.
