I fear this is going to get nasty. Our work isn't done yet. Have emailed Regan again. Won't hold my breath for a reply. He needs to understand that the fans have spoken, the clubs have spoken so when will he start to listen?

No idea what's up with Traynor but he seems to have done a complete u-turn. Clearly he has realised he was backing the wrong horse all along and is now trying to weasel his way in with the good guys! The 'secret' meetings between SFL chairmen does concern me and the rumour that Starnraer will vote to have them in 1st Division - Why on earth would they do that? As far as I can see there are 2 things which could happen to make Traynors suggested 'done deal' happen: 1) SFL clubs have been talked round/given incentives to vote to allow newco into 1st Division. What is in it for 2nd and 3rd division is a total mystery to me though. 2) SPL clubs have been advised by Donkeymaster that the punishment for newco is going to be some madly contrived relegation deal to 1st division therefore all the 'No' votes as they can do this to appease fans knowing deal already done. Fans of all clubs (including SPL) need to continue to communicate to chairmen that anything other than newco applying for entry to 3rd division is unacceptable and will result in season ticket refund requests and boycotts.

Fans of ALL SFL clubs must write to their clubs in the next few days stating how we all feel about this and that the only acceptable solution is for newcorpse to apply for 3rd division. Any parachute into div 1 will result in them losing a significant part of their fanbase. I have already done this and let me tell you its a very liberating email to write and will make you feel all warm and fluffy inside. My old man abandoned Ayr to watch Troon some years ago. If we voted them in i may as well join him as a crooked league is not for me.

Time for the SFA to step up again. Tell the bully to withdraw the appeal or they are expelled. Simple. The SFA have to look after the interests of their other member clubs now. They are also safe in the knowledge that by making this threat (our even better acting on it) they will have full support from uefa/fifa. God i hate these cheating b*****ds, pull the trigger ffs!

While I do like most of Shiels comments I can't help but feel it's a bit too staged and designed to temper the riduculous stomach churning comments from his chairman. However, he can't claim Killie are a club of “good values and also morals" when they refuse to play for the Ayrshire cup as Kilmarnock have it listed as an asset!

Been reading this thread since page 300 or so and have been meaning to post however finding it a struggle just to keep up with the reading. It truly is a wonderful thing. I have to admit I was one of those feeling rather pessamistic over the past few days, thinking the SFA would buckle so to wake up this morning to this wonderful news puts a huge smile on my face. Looking forward to the additional fallout over the next days/weeks. Now where did I put that brochure for the new Astra?
