  1. Really? The TCS holds 7,918 - I'd have thought you'd be able to get a ticket so long as you got in earlier enough. Especially as the last derby between the two (albeit in the first division) was only attended by 5,411.
  2. Were the pinks in bibs, or are the new red away tops not keeping the colour in the wash...?
  3. Pretty pleased, to be honest. Doesn't tarnish things at all. It's a good thing as we're no longer favourites for relegation. Obviously not a guarantee that we won't be relegated anyway, but it certainly helps. Although, if the suggestion that five or six clubs could go in to administration in the near future comes to fruition, we could be looking at a top six finish
  4. Are you a season ticket holder? If not, you'll have to wait. Season ticket holders get first dibs to buy for their family and friends before us central belt based non-season ticket holders get a chance!
  5. *Poached egg update* I purchased the 'poachets' from Lakeland mentioned a couple of pages back, and having used them a couple of times now, they have been a roaring success. I really don't know how I poached eggs without them. Simple and tasty. I would definitely recommend. *Ross County update* Anyone going to Kirkcaldy tomorrow? I see there's a protest movement growing to support Raith's stance. Might mean there's two men and a dog rather than just the one. Or alternatively, it'll fall flat. I'm heading up as it's the only pre-season friendly within easy commute of Edinburgh. With any luck we might have a trialist or two. Any word on new defenders?
  6. Is that a good or a bad thing? (I've not been to the Tulloch Caledonian Stadium since it was refurbished).
  7. It's being used house the newly formed Wendy House Ultras. Gets them a bit closer to the away fans for abuse purposes. So I heard anyway.
  8. Good news. The arrival of pre-season might mean less poached egg chat... Also, I bought some of those poachets earlier. Can't wait to try them out this evening. Will report back
  9. Oh my. They look amazing. Will definitely have to buy some of them!
  10. I'm intrigued. Presumably this? There's a Lakeland store not far from my office, so I may pay a visit later. This approach would counter the main problem I have with the plastic cup method - that if you take your eye off it, the pan has a habit of boiling over due to the high level of water required. I agree re the home top. I quite like it now. Still not a fan of the away top and sash tho. However, one out of two will do me fine. Poor Kirk Broadfoot
  11. How many more times today am I going to address points in your posts that you've subsequently edited to cover?!
  12. Presumably we won't actually be able to wear the away top against ICT either? If our blue clashes with their blue, surely our red will clash with their red?!
  13. It kinda is Stanley though - Stanley CRC Evans Offshore. I'm no offshore expert, but do Stanley own CRC Evans Offshore?
  14. Not convinced at all. Only seen the small image on Twitter so far, but don't much like the stripes. No need for that on a County strip
  15. Likewise. Quite lazy, but effective. That said, the cups are a pain to clean afterwards, although I do find a small amount of olive oil along with the egg reduces the amount stuck on afterwards. Also, speaking of split loyalties, like Capital_stag, I used to watch the Dons as well. 11 August will be a strange day, but I'll be in the away end at Pittodrie for the first time, cheering on County. At the end of the day, Ross County are my local team, and I supported them long before I was lured by the bright lights of the SPL (and a dirt cheap student season ticket during my uni days!).
  16. Just been thinking about the new seating arrangements at Victoria Park. With all this steel, is there not a danger that if there's icy conditions in the winter, whole parts of the ground will become particularly dangerous? I mean, moreso than your average cement-type surface. The undersoil heating might mean the pitch is playable, but frozen stands might mean the game gets called off anyway! Or does the steel get treated somehow?
  17. That depends, are Brora voting yes or no to newco? So hard to keep up...
  18. I'm afraid you might be right. This place seemed very pleasant until recently. At least the illiterate, ill thought out posts on OTB are by our own fans...
  19. Correct. John MacGregor is the Managing Director of MacGregor Industrial Supplies, a director of Ross County and brother of the chairman, Roy MacGregor. MIS also has a turnover in the region of £18 million. A nice gesture by the nameless philanthropist, but I can't help but feel they'd have been better off paying someone like the newsagent up the road. Still, with any luck, John will stick the £106.76 straight in County's SPL Fund
  20. Is there reasoning behind this? From an aesthetical point of view I would rather we stuck with the Nike templates, but if a deal with Diadora will actually benefit the club financially then it'd be hard to complain. Well, so long as the shirts aren't mince and no one buys them...
