  1. Normal performance in that on another day Tranent should have been out of sight by half time. The games I have seen Tranent in Broxburn (a) Blackburn (h) Musselburgh (h) Camelon (a) Nitten (a) Whitehill (h) Dunbar (a) All of them Tranent have created double figures of chances (treble in the Musselburgh game) and should have won easily. That said every one of those games poor finishing / good goalkeeping has let the other team back into the game. Blackburn & Broxburn had chances, Whitehill & Musselburgh were only 1-0 in the last 15 mins and let's be honest here Dunbar should have won the game with Swain making a worldy save when everyone in the ground thought it was going in. I expect someone to get a right battering when they do take all the chances. Was good to see the hard work the supporters have done at NCP with the area looking great. Shame about the traffic warden stopping cars parking on the grass. Think he will only be happy once the rugby club move into the football ground.
  2. Just waiting on Thornton, Musselburgh and Uni of Stirling will post on Thursday moving it to every 2 weeks as not in the office as much
  3. Updated: @OfficialSLFL & @EastScotlandFA League and Cup top goal scorers chart to 30/9/21 With 2,322 goals scored in the 559 matches covered.
  4. For those wanting the league attendance tables. All updated to 1/10/21 (Lowland to 30/9/21) Feel free to use in Programmes or websites.
  5. Attendances complete for September. Overall 452/452 games in the East of Scotland Premier, Division 1 A, B & X, The Scottish Cup, The King Cup, The Alex Jack Cup, The East of Scotland Qualifying Cup and The South Challenge Cup Overall 87/107 games in the Lowland League. Hugely disappointing and far from the 100% set out at the start of the season. Totals 539/559. Here are the attendances by league and month. Lowland 1st. EOS Prem, then EOS Division 1 A B and X. All the Above cup matches, then the totals.
  6. The reasons given were even worse. There is no superior inner knowledge, I would have thought a look at the comments on your Facebook after the event made that clear. If you genuinely would be happy being sacked from your own work the way your club went about it with Geoff then fair enough. Others would have been going down a unfair dismissal route Nothing against any of the management team I wished them well. They may need it. You wouldn't know the way your lot are celebrating being 15 points off the pace with 1/3 of the season gone. Maybe our objectives were too much in my short time there.
  7. Should also add another match from the previous week Dunbar v Camelon will be looked at on Monday. Both 545 and for yesterdays 409 will stand and will clarify asap
  8. Sounded a great crowd, we had Derek Hall and Tom Thornton covering for radio. The cheers for every home penalty were certainly loud.
  9. Will look into it mate, I message all the clubs and leave it for them to confirm. I will chat on Monday (when they have sobered up) will hold the 409 in and edit if/when required
  10. A few scorers missing but the top shots mostly amassing the goals this weekend. Special mention to David Grant of Dunipace, 6 goals for him!
  11. 409 given. 120 Edin Uni 400 Buckie Waiting on Cumnock and Dalbeattie. With best wishes to Zander at Bo'ness
  12. Updated Games - goals - attendance chart ahead of today's games
  13. Absolutely so we both agree that good things off the park are happening and have been for many years. I don't want to stick on the bit that we somehow disagree on but...if you can tell me when the club acted worse (other than giving me a gig for a few weeks!) than it did over the summer? Just to be clear, you think that sacking a manager a week before the season starts having not played a competitive game for 7 months who is a club legend former player responsible for taking the club to the top division 2 promotions via phone whilst on a family holiday and using the same/similar template words and reason that Berwick Rangers used to post it on twitter! is ok? A guy that gave everything and more to the club? You agree with all that! You can throw back all the stats back you want and this is nothing i havent said to those doing a great job off the park, but to agree with the method, timing, reason etc is nothing short of unbelievable.
  14. For those not on Twitter following a good idea posted to me. Here are the top 3 average attendances in the East of Scotland League up to 23/9/21
  15. Was impressed with Armadale especially after losing an early goal. Very direct but that is clearly something they worked on with some of the passing outstanding Boness played some great football at times missing their top scorer but a team full of pace and goals they are On another night it finishes 7-7 the number of chances and last ditch defending made this a good watch Conditions were difficult with driving rain and wind at times. The crowd factor possibly a issue as everyone kept moving under cover. I got 330 the club issued 325 and someone at the other side of the ground got 267. Good travelling support no doubt about that
  16. 'All the stuff in pre-season' I really don't want to go back to it as I made my view (as did plenty of others) to them the time. The point i was making was that I was critical of them for what can only be described as...... the worst way the club has ever acted in its nearly 100 years in existence, but the work the volunteers and committee have done on promotion of games and other areas deserved a bit of praise.
  17. Attendances: East of Scotland Prem, Division 1 A, B, X Alex Jack, EOS Qualifying, South Challenge, Scots Cup & King Cup We have 419/421 attendances - 53,476 have attended. Lowland League 83/101 - 19,158 have attended. @EastScotlandFA & @OfficialSLFL 502/522 games: 72,634 crowd
  18. Hi I am looking for 2 attendances from Saturday if anyone can help? Forres and Formartine in the Scottish Cup machetes
  19. Just the 3 f's to get 39/42 Scottish Cup attendances. 11,002 overall the 39 declared so far.
  20. In terms of Berwick your absolutely right. I think its £1.5k for the visitors plus something for a bus I'm sure that's what was going on last season. Not sure about the home team tbh. Credit to the clubs you mention there is a clear work plan plus programmes pipe bands etc raising the bar and marking the occasion The thing is that small things like social media are not difficult to do. Posters in shops are easier with pretty set fixture lists. Some of the club committee sizes i would expect more from but certainly clubs heading in right direction
