  1. I do think that at the end of the day hard work and actually promoting games is the key to bringing fans in and match day experience is the way to keep them. Dunbar for example despite all the stuff in pre-season have to be praised. The town knew there was a game on, a big Scottish Cup game. Posters everywhere. They were rewarded with 200 extra fans added from the previous round. Reminded me of Auchinleck Talbot the way they went about it. Credit where it is due. The test will be how many come back for Hillfield on Saturday. I think there is a huge number of potential customers who still aren't aware of or attracted by their local clubs and a fair few clubs missing out on that income. Regarding tonight, 284 was the crowd the last time the teams played. Factors against an increase Monday night (work in the morning) will put a few of the ground hoppers off. £10 gate i think is £3 too high. (Lthv was £6 yesterday) TV will take a few of the maybes away. Form: Gretna have been struggling with many seeing this as a comfortable home win. 20 days since Berwicks last home game Factors for an increase: Competition Scottish Cup Local promotion Berwick get a fair number of younger supporters Easy to get to - good parking. Biggest game for a long time. Anything North of 350-400 would be a fair deal
  2. Had a few more come in for the Scottish so here is another update! 8,912 crowd with 9 games to get
  3. All in. Including Lowland League, EOS Premier, Division 1 A, B and X, The Scottish Cup, EOS Qualifying Cup, The King Cup, The Alex Jack Cup and the South Challenge Cup
  4. Sorry for the constant edits! Few wee updates for those not on twitter. EOS Premier League - Linlithgow v Broxburn game was 475 & the Musselburgh v Dundonald match was 171 EOS Division 1 Conference X waiting on the only game played at Bathgate v Armadale EOS Division 1 A and B are in the graphic included. A on the left and B on the right. The Alex Jack will be posted after with all 1/4 finals played. 1,473 have attended the 21 games played in this comp The King Cup Waiting on Craigroyston v Heriot Watt and there was 86 at Tweedmouth v Edinburgh South. Scottish Cup: Will be posted under as well. 10/41 attendances still to get, the Brechin v Vale of Leithen just came in 261, and Tynecastle was 160 All in top scorers chart will be last.
  5. Not sure about a way to stop that other than a fence on the path! From what i witnessed when i was there you can only get 5 or 6 folk up there, most just passing by and stop for a few mins. Tynecastle is another example with a cafe behind the goals. Yes to the decimal place 'point'.. ! The closed doors, I am in 2 minds. I will put a * next to Edinburgh College and take your point. I want the games played to match up though, as its linked to a few other spreadsheets Doing the same for missing attendances in the Lowland league for me its a no. I want to get 100% of the attendances across all the leagues and cups, my own view is by including the missing attendances will hopefully encourage the 2 or 3 teams to send the info in. 99 times out of 100 the clubs have the info or a rough idea. If they don't want to share it of course or they don't like me well thats entirely up to them. If I was from Mrs Track and Mr Trace especially for the 1st month I am sure numbers would be found. Still confident that like the 4 Eos divisions, Alex Jack, Eos Qualifying, South Challenge and Scottish Cup, we will get to 100% with the Lowland and will solve this issue.
  6. Updated after this weekends 270 goals across the competitions
  7. 19 Games of the 98 looking for the rough attendance if anyone can help
  8. I think it will be returning to even bigger crowds with so many clubs making improvements off the park. You could argue that there is a huge amount for some clubs to do in terms of promoting themselves I remember going to a game with 8 fans at it. I knew 7 of their names. Changed days, the last 15 years have seen so many clubs move forward. Hope it continues
  9. Only watched Lothian Thistle away and Tranent away so maybe not qualified to comment but I'm very surprised by the assessment of needing another forward. I am not familiar with the positions the younger lads on the bench Gregory, Wynne play so I respectly leave them out of this point. Matti King, record goal scorer Darren Downie, Top scorer last year, over 50 top league goals Dean Ballantyne not got his stats to hand but a top goal scorer Jordan Smith scored bucket loads over the last 3 seasons with Tynecastle, Tranent and Bonnyrigg signed him Connor Thomson - I believe his best position is off the front man/men has loads of goals over the years. I know you are gonna mention injuries & suspensions but very rare all 5 would be out. I also feel (maybe down to injuries) a fair few players looked out of position. I think the squad size is huge compared to pretty much everyone else and has been for 2 or 3 years. I think like you that Saturday is a chance to bring in the squad players who haven't featured as much. I would have Bradley Whyte as captain - this lad is one of the most talented players in the league and would bring in the 20s lads. After all I would imagine that's the route they wanted to go down when they started the 20s team. Depending on the thoughts that the league is a 2 horse race it maybe is worth going with 6 or 7 younger lads and giving them 30 games experience for next season.
