  1. Folk that constantly call in to hotlines and write in to newspapers bug me when they’re just asking some journalist their opinion. Ask yer fucking mates their opinion ffs! Who cares what some 3rd rate tabloid journalist thinks about Celtic/Rangers current mythical transfer. Talk to your pals in the pub about it – it’ll be just as insightful! Worse than those fannys are folk that txt in to the Daily Express type polls. ‘Should Camilla become our Queen’ ‘Should immigrants be shot at dawn’ and the like. Yes, pay these muppets 25p just to state what the paper already spouts day after day anyway! Oh and folk that moan on pointless internet fitba forums when they could be outside in the sun.
  2. James Brown - Soulful Christmas. A guid Crimbo tune and if you've not heard it, pop over to limewire where it's freely available.
  3. Saw3 the now. Load of shite. 2/10 I'm aff tae the pub!
  4. I stand corrected then. Aye, the Yanks come to save us and then it all goes tits up. Seems a realistic scenario to me.
  5. Think its by the same folk Chris. Bobby Carlyle is one of the main characters. Google '28 Weeks Later' and you'll find the clip.
  6. My favourite horror movies are the ones that play on your mind. Not the ones that just go for guts and splatter (although I quite like them too) Sometimes its what you don’t see that’s the real horror as your imagination can run riot. Also love zombie movies that are a take on aspects of society like Dawn of the Dead or 28 Days Later. Talking of which, seen a wee clip of the follow up 28 Weeks Later which looks good.
  7. Brick. Average but it did have a couple of funny lines. 4/10
  8. Shadows of Knight - Shake. 60's punk at its best.
  9. Was just listening to The Byrds - Lover of the Bayou
  10. Went to see Children of Men the other night - pretty good if a tad grim. Mind you, with the subject matter, it would have been tricky to turn it into a sit com! The likes of this and 'Right At Your Door' are a sign of the times sadly. 2 pretty good movies though.
  11. Paul Weller at the barras for me.
  12. Another thumbs up Monster. Allen Toussaint - 'Get Out My Life Woman' is on my play list the noo. GROOVY!
  13. The song or yer big posh coat? You lot and yer fancy ways!
  14. Been listening to the new Kasabian CD in the motor over the last couple of days. Maybe I need to give it more time but I’ve not been that impressed. There’s 3 or 4 good tunes but some of the other tracks sound no better than average b-sides.
  15. Watched 'Sideways' for the 2nd time last night. Really enjoyed it, probably more than the first time I watched it. Funny, clever, sad and characters that were more than one dimensional. Virgina Marsden is still tidy may I add. 9/10
  16. Downloaded the new Razorlight album, sounds not bad. Tracks 'America' and 'Kirby's House' stand out for me.
  17. Proclaimers - Cap In Hand. I could tell the meaning of a word like serene I got some 'O' Grades when I was sixteen I can tell the difference between magarine and butter I can say "Saskatchewan" without starting to stutter But I can't understand why we let someone else rule our land, cap in hand I could get a broken jaw from being in a fight I know its evening when day turns to night I can understand why Stranraer lie so lowly They could save a lot of points by signing Hibs Goalie But I can't understand why we let someone else rule our land, cap in hand We fight - when they ask us We boast - then we cower We beg For a piece of Whats already ours Once I thought I could make God a bribe So I said I was in his lost tribe Getting handouts can be so frustrating "Get in line son, there's five million waiting" I can't understand why you let someone else rule your land, cap in hand
  18. Just downloaded the new Zero 7 album 'The Garden' Sounding pretty good summery chill out album.
  19. Kung-Fu Hustle. One of the craziest martial arts movies I've ever seen. Some amazing fight scenes, really funny and crossed the cultural and language barrier well. I wasn't expecting to enjoy it as it was directed by the guy that done Shaolin Soccer which was rubbish, but this was top drawer. 9/10
  20. Got a dvd copy of 'History of Violence' the other day - very good movie 8/10 Btw, I thought The Bourne Supremacy was better than the 1st effort. Better story and the characters came out more. Stunts were still excellent too.
