  1. We’re waiting on contracts being accepted for McKay, Currie, Kerr, McCann and Walker is that right?

Only two I’d be bothered about losing are Currie and Kerr.

Currie proved to be a very good goalkeeper - I don’t think I can remember a single error he made out with the play off final when he parried the ball straight into Muirhead’s path.

Kerr showed a lot of promise when he was eventually moved to CB at the end of the season and I’d like to see him continue in that position.

McCann has been good in spells for us, and will no doubt go on to have a good career above this level, but I don’t think he’s irreplaceable.

Walker just didn’t offer enough going forward for a wing back.

McKay was solid enough towards the end of his time with us but didn’t offer a great deal beyond a long throw.
  2. don't know why, but i've got a funny feeling Paul McKay may also end up at Falkirk.

That’s the only team that I can see him moving to “above us” in the pecking order. He’s played well against them a few times so they’re likely to be the only ones daft enough to sign him.

I’m assuming Paul McKay was offered a new deal and turned it down based on the timeline of the announcement. If that’s the case I find it hilarious that we’ve all spent two years moaning about him being first name on the team sheet (myself included) only for him to up and leave of his own volition. Cheerio Paul.

Suspect O’Reilly will end up in League 2 somewhere. Decent player in there but not consistent enough.
  3. As much as I’d like to go out and put a few past Falkirk, I think the sensible approach would be to rest a few of our key players ahead of the play offs. With this in mind I’d line up something like:

    Currie

    P McKay - Crighton - Kerr - Walker

    Ritchie - Sabatini

    Thomson - Stokes - Robert

    Roy

I would still like to think that team would compete well enough, particularly given Falkirk’s recent form.

  4. Absolutely delighted with that signing, albeit I’m reluctant to give the manager or the club too much credit as it appears it maybe fell into their lap...

The best thing about this signing is that it’ll force Murray to move McKay out of midfield into right back. I liked MacDonald but he shouldn’t be too much of a miss as we’re well covered at right back.

Bring on the remainder of the season!!

I’d like to see us line up on Saturday:

    Currie

    McKay - Crighton - Fordyce - McCann

    Turner - Sabatini

    Robert - Carrick - Connell

    Gallagher

  5. Another predictably disgraceful performance against lesser opposition. If Murray was going to be sacked he would have been weeks ago, so buckle up ladies and gentlemen for the rest of the season.

I understand the need to give some of the fringe players game time, but surely not at the expense of any semblance of formation? I couldn’t figure out who was playing CM (apart from Kerr) or indeed what formation we were playing at all.

I’m fully expecting another frustrating end to the season in 4th/ 5th place.
