Depressingly I’m not bothered about going to today’s game. I’d normally be there without question, however I’m feeling pretty ‘meh’ about Airdrie just now.
We’ve got a tough couple of games coming up so hopefully we can pick up some points against an out of form Forfar.0 -
The indifference has set in early this season

Meh. A win’s a win.

Another bonkers lineup from Murray this afternoon I see. Starting to think he’s not got a clue what he’s doing!
I’d be interested to hear what he seen from Reilly last week that warranted another start.
I would still hope we’d have enough to beat Stranraer who are on a poor run.0 -
That was as bad a performance from Airdrie as I’ve seen in ages. We offered absolute nothing anywhere on the pitch, nobody really got pass marks.
Why on earth Murray decided to put Reilly into the midfield (who I don’t think has appeared for us at all this season until yesterday) is beyond me.
The only positive for us is we can’t be as bad as that next week.0 -
This will be the first game of the season that I’ll miss, so we’ll probably put in a performance and come away with three points. I’d go:
Hutton
Fordyce - Crighton - Eckersley
Thomson - McKay - Millar - McCann
Carrick
Gallagher - Smith
Probably a bit harsh leaving Kerr and McDonald out but I don’t think Eckersley can miss out on the starting eleven when fit, and we can’t persist to play Thomson at LWB.0 -
Dilemma here. A draw lets me 'tick off' an elusive away venue.
Does it not just go to penalties if it ends in a draw?0 -
It’s almost as if they’re trying to get relegated.

I don’t think Clyde are as bad as their fans are making out. On today’s showing, I can’t imagine they’ll be in much danger of relegation. They were quite tidy in midfield and decent going forward. It’s the defence that’ll hold them back this year. Every time a high ball went up I was confident we’d win the ball one way or another.
We were absolutely honking in the first half - almost as bad as we were on Tuesday night. Eckersley having to go off injured was a blessing in disguise as it forced Murray to change shape which saw us dominate the game. I’d like to see us set up with the 3-4-1-2 formation next week as we looked a different team.
God only knows how Thomson got booked towards the end of the game for what looked like a stone wall penalty. At that point I thought it was going to be one of those days where Clyde equalised, however that absolute wonder goal sealed what was a deserved victory for the might Diamonds.
Hopefully this is the beginning of a good run of form for us.3 -
Absolutely buzzing to read this discussion play out for the 100th time

Hi all,
We lost our top scorer a couple months ago (he broke his ankle) so our form since then has been very up and down.
I can see you are really struggling for goals at the minute

Airdrieonians 2 - 2 Clyde
Falkirk 3 - 0 Montrose
Peterhead 2 - 0 Dumbarton
Stranraer 1 - 2 Raith Rovers0 -
I make it 10 years since we last played each other on league business.
Already an important game for both sides with Clyde coming off a bit a thumping from Raith Rovers last week and Airdrie desperately needing a good performance after a disappointing last couple of weeks.
I’d like to see us line up:-
Hutton
MacDonald - Fordyce - Crighton - Eckersley
Millar - Roberts
Carrick - Hawkshaw - Roy
Smith
We could really do with a win but can see this ending 2-2.

Could be interesting. Anyone know what side of the fence they sit on?
Who gives a f**k.4 -
I’m not one for criticising the team for the sake of it, but that was appalling tonight.
Gallagher and Cowan were particularly awful. Genuinely can’t see how Gallagher is a footballer at this level, never mind one that scored double figures for a poor Dumbarton side. I really hope he can prove me wrong but I can see him spending most of this season on the bench.
At the end of the day we’re in the hat for the next round and that’s all that matters. Hopefully we get a good draw.0 -
We get our first look at Kyle MacDonald tonight, hope he shows up well.
Looking at the lineup he may be playing at left back though.2 -
If we got a fee for him - fantastic. It was obvious he wasn’t going to play much this season so better getting something now than waiting until the end of the season and releasing him.

Cammy Russell off to Kelty Hearts by the looks of things.

I really hope this will be our season after years of mediocrity.

Ignoring McKay at the moment because we haven’t seen him in action, I reckon our best side at the moment is:
Hutton
Fordyce - Crighton - Kerr - Eckersley
Wedderburn
Thomson - Hawkshaw - O’Reilly
Roy - Smith
I can’t say I’ve been overly impressed with Ally Roy so far but he’s scored goals, which you can’t argue with.
With Gallagher, Carrick, Cowan, Millar & Russell all available from the bench we seem to have a really strong group.
With the above in mind, I feel obliged to once again remind everyone that we’re gonna win the league.8 -

Looking forward to watching this when I get home. Fully expect it to create an uproar.
Excellent stuff.
