  1. Bobby Barr a Declan McManus all seem to of really enjoyed winning league one with morton and loved the moment hopefully they will be telling the players to go win the league and stay and enjoy it.
  2. At least the club want to keep all current contracted players and the youth teams.
  3. Where is this source all players told to find new clubs ? Don't believe that as some could demand a fee and we have a decent core that could get us straight back up with a decent manager
  4. I would not say Erik has to go, out of everyone left working at the club he is the best and with out him we would be worse off, but I think he be better taking a back role in the club and getting someone else in with a bit more football knowledge who is also fresh with new ideas and wants to take the club forward. Iv delt with Erik A few times with non football related things. Like sorting tickets and other things and he has been great. We need someone new who not be scared to tell the others there that things need improved as i feel a lot of back room staff are like an old pals act with each other and content. I go back to what warren Hawke at morton he been there since January already moved the away fans to make a better match day atmosphere, made a business clubs for local business to get behind the club and do exclusive evenings ( our clubs attitude is oh no one has any money) The hospitality has ex player, mom and manager interviews. Just simple things that can make things better our club needs fresh input rather than old guys who are retired.
  5. Agree with this, we need someone like warren Hawke at morton someone young who is wanting the club to do well and encourage a better fan experience and look at ways to getting more money into the club. The people we have are nice people but no where near good enough or have the business or sales experience to talk to local groups or businesses and get more money in for the club. The guy who does the club shop was a nightmare to get hold of and claimed he never received emails or texts regards orders pretty poor. The hospitality is also pretty poorly hosted compared to other clubs and the food was awful. I also arranged for a big company to offer money for signage and over £1k and nothing happened in the office once Erik passed it down to the numpties in the office. A full clear out is needed from top to bottom
  6. I don't blame Hughes at all for where we are he seems honest in his after match interview. Its Gary lockes team that should never of been allowed near our club. Also the club should cancel the player of the year awards this year !
  7. We are good enough to beat Ayr I really hope we do as I can't see both Dumbarton or st mirren winning. As for Hughes not his fault we have no midfeild left with injuries and suspensions amazing how much a difference Mathews makes when he playes.
  8. No that was not shown on sky. If he was pushed I feel sorry for him as he had an ok game and cleared the ball well and looked like he had learned from his mistakes in previous games.
  9. Just seen the goals again on sky sports news. The keeper was in the right position for the free kick just looked like it went right through him. Think he should of done better but made a few good saves in the first half.
  10. When is Mathews and Stewart back ? Was Hughes suggesting that one of them could of played but blamed not 100% fit and did not want to ?
  11. Will hardie be missing next week as he is with the u21s ? As that's a massive loss for us if he is.
  12. Roberts had a bit over top of his criticism recently. He looked ok when he came on a few weeks ago and against Dumbarton everyone was playing badly but at least he stood up and tried to take some responsibility and get on the ball rather than hide like some players. Fans shouting at him he is shit 5min into a game is not going to help the team. I imagine if anyone of the loan players goes back it will be the keeper as we currently have 4 and he not played for ages. And means we can bring in a more experienced loan player.
  13. Very surprising as he has had a few good games. Was awful against queens but had some good games prior to that.
  14. St mirren game now wed 8th march. Hopefully st mirren be shattered after a hard Scottish cup game and gives us a full week to prepare.
  15. At least there will be some singing and celebrating at the end of the match no matter what!! either a win or more likely to be singing sacked in the morning !
  16. If he lost the dressing room letting Easton take the team for a match. Would actually maybe work better and get some fans in the door tomorrow night.
  17. Think we should stay away from starks on Tuesday to show the fans want action now ! As the board won't act unless it affects money coming in. Can't defend Locke anymore clearly has no management skills and has no effect during the games.
  18. To me him saying he hoped more fans would of turned up at the cheaper prices was him just as getting upset that the crowds were low as he cares and wants the club to do well , nothing about the fans who have turned up. Ok maybe should not of put that in an official club statement but I'd rather have someone at the club that cares than someone who does not. End of the day our grief is with the results as this would be a non starter had we won a few games recently
  19. Feel sorry for Drysdale here. He is a fan and I do believe he does what he can to help the club and is always looking for ways for the club to save money and get money in. He is always approachable and a good guy from what iv seen. It was not him by himself who appointed Locke and yes it was a gamble but it's still a bit early to say it's doom and gloom yet. All managers ask to be supported by the bored and our board has done that to give him the best chance but it's currently not working. We would not be having this convo I feel about Erik if Vaughan did not go to Dumbarton we would just be Moaning about results. But on Vaughan if we are all honest with our selfs he was awful his last few games and makes me think he has maybe been unprofessional with regards the manager and the club. He needs games to try get back to the level he showed he could play before his injury so a loan was the right move. But not many clubs would be able to pay his wage is league 1. So can see why the board agreed this as Gary prob said he is not committed and agreed to this to help the player get better and let us bring in a player who wants to help us now ! But Vaughan was awful for us in his last few games if I remember he got booed after his free kick v hibs.
  20. Think he should be given till after the Dumbarton game before we panic.
  21. Has Locke packed in giving pre and after match interviews.
