Dolly and Blue 8 take a different view on the match but both make points I can agree with. Celtic B are fit as a butchers dog. Their style of play is first touch control it, second touch pass it and move into space......all done at pace. Its hard for part time players to match that. BUT.........the BU's were careless with the ball. .........and why oh why did we keep punting long balls to see who would win a foot race between Fin and the Celtic defenders. (Spoiler- Fin lost)

When I opened this thread I assumed the question would be:- "Have the clubs who were relegated from SPFL League 2 used their parachute money wisely" ...........but the opening post wrong footed me completely.

Agree with you that the attendance was poor today. Good performances and good results will hopefully attract new fans. Getting the next generation of fans into New town Park is far more important than getting the old ones who have drifted away to return.

Stenhouse and Mitchell will be a joy to watch. The question is how does Hunter set up the team with the array of talent in the BU ranks.

Kieran Mitchell comes on and on the BU's first attack he firstly stops running to find himself in space, the ball doesn't come to him so he sprints in front of the defender into space. Again the ball doesn't come so he goes tight against the defender......only to drift 10 yards behind him into space and to get the ball. Some strikers only come alive when they get the ball but the good ones work hard to stretch defences.

MOTM for me was Danny Irving.

Mitchell's movement, pace and control is different class.
