Hope you learn how to tie your laces before you get on the pitch [emoji104]
I hope the tops are a generous fit... so we don't end up with a boob tube look from you.0 -
With regards to Play for the Sons, I would just like to put on record... f**k yer home team!

Happy with that - was certainly the stand out trialist the other day.
We have 3 direct wingers - wonder if the idea is Walsh plays through the middle.0 -

That Stranraer fella must have been at a different game. His comments in general are bizarre; especially the Rangers and wage ones.
Was of course just a training game and there's not really much I can say.
S. Gallagher - Didn't fill me with confidence, Jazza was talking him through the game (subbed at halftime)
Smith - didn't have a great game, but we know what he can do.
Dowie - impressed me, a leader and looks like Jamie Carragher.
Barr - positionally not great, but did what he needed to do, comfortable driving with the ball.
McIlduff - didn't have a very good half
C. Gallagher - not involved much, but couple of nice things when he was.
G. Gallagher - I thought he played very well in centre mid; breaking up play and doing a power of running (moved to RB later and didn't have much to do).
Wilson - Did well, just got stuck in in the centre of the park, couple of nice passes.
Carswell - Carswell.
Walsh - again, not involved too much but decent when he was.
Stewart - He's going to need a partner to find him when he makes runs.
Subs:
Hill - Didn't have anything to do, Stranraer hardly had the ball in our half in the second half. Did everything he had to though.
Jordan Allan - looked like he might have something, would definitely say he's worth another look
Chris Johnston - Was a threat, looked pacy and direct. I reckon if we got him playing with confidence he could be very good for us.
Prior - did what was asked of him, passed the ball well.
Sub Keeper (Connor?) - young guy - came in at half time and literally had nothing to do, his kicking looked good though.
Centre back/left back (Anthony) - one of the skinniest people, let alone centre backs, I've ever seen. Didn't have much to do, but did what he had to.
Obviously though it was a training game and isn't a great way to judge players... not that it stopped me.0 -
Wouldn't mind that for an away top actually. It's nothing like the one we'll get though.
That was my first thought too, would definitely be a decent away kit.0 -
Incoming Calvin Zola.

Can I ask what Calvin Zola has to do with us?

Can you let me know the stipulated time to post after news breaks about possible departure of manager so it doesn't appear that I give two fucks about it?
Why post about something you don't 'give two fucks about' at all? Odd behaviour.0 -
Na! Just pished myself with excitement at the news I'll be teaming up with the GOAT.

Think you'll need to change the title of this thread now... sorrow must be a distant memory for the Sons.
Well done guys.
No.

Doesn't help your point.0 -
is it only politicians from certain parties who are allowed to back us ?
No.
Not sure about anyone else, but I personally don't like our club being disingenuously used for political point scoring.0 -

Been mentioned on our thread by someone that we've apparently offered Stanton a contract for next season. Is he only on loan to you or signed by you at the minute?
On loan.0 -
Given our dearth of attacking options it has to be very tempting to start him through the middle in the upcoming matches. His pace and directness can trouble defences and he adds something different to our team, but there are still glaring defensive issues with his game which could get exposed if he plays out wide. It would make sense to try it out against Canada at least.
I'd rather see Phillips play there; he shares many similar attributes, but I just feel he's more polished and thus would be more suited to being the central focal point.
ETA:
I'd play Burke as well, just on the wing.

He certainly didn't do himself much good in hopes for starts up front, he just didn't know where to be or which runs to make.
Unfortunately with the way they play I can't see starting on the wing; hopefully he gets another chance through the middle and shows a bit more.0 -
I have never watched us lose a game I haven't been to.

Have heard we are close to signing a winger called Dale Jennings.

I love Sparky. I've taken his picture 4 times already this season. I expect to be doing it again too

Those highlights must have been tampered with... no way did the away 16 miss two crosses...
