  1. I don't think you guy's realise what a talent you have in this youngster. I would predict a goals tally in the high teens low twenties for the season, IF he is given a reasonable amount of game time. I certainly wouldn't be spending silly money on any "well know" senior strikers while Gav's available. If he's played alongside Smith and under the guidance of Johnston, Gav will come on leaps and bounds as the season progresses. On paper the team you are putting together should be exciting to watch and very good going forward, creating a lot of chances which is where his movement and pace will cause defences a lot of problems. I for one look forward to catching some of your games this season to see how things progress
  2. Your wish has been granted along with Robinson.
  3. That's your first bit of bad news in a few weeks!
  4. Love him ot hate him, Stuart Rome has done wonders with the youths of Queen of The South in the short time he has been involved. It’s no surprise Queens have offered him a post. Queens gain and Gretna’s loss.
  5. I think Stuart Rome does not get the credit he deserves. Yes he may have an attitude but what manager doesn't. If you look at what he has done over the last few years with Gretna and put that with this year's 19's squad for Queens, who he has now taken to the biggest National final there is. The guy must be complemented on his achievements both on and off the pitch. He is building a very good reputation of working with the youngsters for both the on and off field aspects of his set up, which interestingly are being mentioned around places. Congratulations on last night's result and good luck for Monday night and the future.
  6. Pleased to see that Gavin got his first goal for you, I’m sure there will be more to follow. Good luck with your fight for survival.
  7. According to the national media, he’s the one that’s livened things up for you when he’s come on, over the last few weeks. Also to quote your manager “he’s done well and changed the game, which is good for a youngster” It might be a good pairing of Parkin and Reilly.
  8. Thought you guys would be interested in this, sorry originally put it in the wrong thread. Draw for the qtrs of the 19's cup Livi v Dundee Utd St Mirren v Stenny Queen Of South v Ayr / Inverness Aberdeen v Celtic / Dunfermline Games played 12th Feb 2012
  9. Congratulations to your lad Gavin Reilly after being awarded EoS 1st Div player of the year. He was a pleasure to watch in the few games I saw him play. Technically very good and a great finisher with either foot. I was looking forward to watching him play in the Premier League next season, shame that wont be the case.Good luck to him now he's signed full time to play for you.
  10. Extract from EoS season review, As we approach the club and player awards, I frequently get asked my choice for the player of the year award. There are always a few in your mind, however, in my opinion my Premier League player is Spartans’ Chris Townsley. Chris brought with him his SFL experience. He has good positional sense about his game and he is very comfortable on the ground. Defensively he is very strong in the air and has also been a constant threat in the opposition box. My 1st Division is Gretna 2008’s Gavin Reilly. Good movement, comes short to link in as well as runs long. Makes excellent channel runs. Very good touch and can finish with either foot. I am sure you all will have your own opinions. Enjoy your summer holidays although the player’s preseason is less than a month away! Willie Darroch EOS Manager.
