  1. We destroyed East Fife down the wings last time. So I'm finding this decision to play with absolutely no width a bit puzzling.
  2. That's a bit more of a shake up than I was expecting. I wonder if a few other guys are carrying knocks? There looks like a bit of a lack of width there for me. I'm wondering if it's 4-3-3? Carlo/Crighton/Lynas/Shiels. Midfield three of Blair/D.Wilson/Gray and a forward three of R.Wallace/Ruth and Jinky? Or, 4-4-2 with Blair and Lynas as the full-backs. Then Carlo and someone else wide? I've no idea though.
  3. Give this weather was forecast all week, surely surely some sort of precautions were taken so this goes ahead. It's cold. But it's not unseasonably extreme. If games are falling when it drops to -1/-2 overnight then we probably won't play a home game again until April.
  4. I just want to know what was going through his head at Ochilview in August when he started firing the cards out left, right and centre
  5. Dayshonne Golding in at Elgin, and two regens away from Clyde.
  6. Quite a lot happening today. Matthew Wright away from Elgin back to County, Blair Sneddon back to Berwick from Stranraer. Incoming. Callum Booth to Spartans on loan - terrific signing that if he's anywhere near fit. Dylan Lobban to Forfar on loan from Aberdeen:
  7. I never get it when managers think 'this guy is cracking at position X, lets play him at position Y instead'. Square pegs in square holes and pad out the rest of the team with the dross filling positions is a far better strategy. He was surprisingly effective for a few games. Although I've never seen anything quite like it. He'd just slow wingers down. Park his body in their way, do a wee John McGinn style move where he'd jam his arse into them and spin away (albeit at 0.5 the speed) and then leather a crossfielder. He was a damn site better than our other option at the time, Willie Dyer.
  8. I'm the exact same, although I'll get my tickets tomorrow. I'd add as well. There's a 0.01 percent chance of us creating one of the greatest Scottish Cup shocks of all time. It's about as likely as winning the Euromillions. But it's still a chance. It's just 11 men against 11 men at the end of the day. I didn't go to Oswestry because I didn't think it would be worth it. And I regret it to this day. If I missed us somehow managing to beat Rangers in a competitive game I'd be kicking myself for the rest of my life.
  9. Two spells of Jim Duffy will do that tbf. I was talking to a Pars fan yesterday about when Duffy signed Chris Hamilton (their current captain as a CDM) having played at Hearts as a centre-half. And played him on left-wing for half a season We also had Ross Forbes as a left-back for a spell. Oh, and Michael Paton (a striker or attacking mid) as a right-back memorably up at Brechin. He was sent off for two bookings because he was incapable of tackling.
  10. Fans of yellow cards will be pleased to hear that we have Duncan Williams in charge of this one. For what feels like the 26th Sons game he'll have taken charge of this season.
  11. Finn Ecrepont also in at Stranraer: Lyall Booth in at Elgin from Huntly And Alieu Faye, who has to go down as one of the worst players I've seen at this level, away from Bonnyrigg
  12. I know there's been a bit of interest in how Callum Wilson is doing, so I asked him: Clicky
  13. *covers head* I think Willie Collum gets a hard time. He's made some howlers, but most referees have. We don't get him often now we're in the diddy leagues, but when we had him against Dundee in the Betfred Cup I thought it was noticeable how much more professionally he handled the game compared to some of the rookies* that are being lumped with League Two games. I think he's absolutely fine. The idea that any referee is involved in some sort of anti-your club conspiracy is nonsense that should be shut down immediately by every other club across Scottish football. If this situation forces him to call it a day (and I'd be close to it if I was in his shoes) then he'll be replaced by someone who'll also be targeted by the same witch-hunt next time a decision is made that one half of the OF don't like. *Honourable mention to Ryan Lee, who looks really young, but has been excellent in all three of our games he's taken charge of. I like the way he talks to players and generally conducts himself. Best new referee I've seen in a while.
  14. And Taylor Sutherland back to Dunfermline from Bonnyrigg https://twitter.com/BonnyriggRose/status/1741825352333148530
  15. Must be nice getting public holidays I know from my brother's team that they tried to switch training to daytime today rather than night and it proved difficult to get anything like a full squad together. I'm not sure how many folk get public holidays these days either? Me and my other half are both working today and so are my brother and dad.
  16. Ross Forbes, Kyan Gunn and Jon Craig away from Clyde https://twitter.com/ClydeFC/status/1741172377973625338?t=Uvm90ZBXkERZyRcqF2RL6g&s=19
  17. Tbf said editor has an agenda against anything that isn't the Labour Party and Celtic Football Club. Including, currently, the paper he used to edit
  18. Someone posted on that Facebook page that a certain local newspaper in the area had an agenda against DFC a few years ago.
  19. We've got Spartans at home on a midweek too because of the Rangers Cup game. Again, not ideal.
  20. I think so? Their highlights are always outstanding and start with Stranraer FC Live I'm sure?
