The wife cannot seem to grasp the fact that a wardrobe is not called a "wardrope".
I have been taking the piss out of my wife for years for saying the exact same

This may go down as the silliest question ever asked on here but if a mobile phone gets waterlogged (down toilet maybe) would opening it up then covering it with dried rice and leaving for a few hours take all the moisture out of it and save the day? I am only asking because I saw someone else on here give that as advice to someone with a similar problem and I don`t know if they were just having a laugh or not.

Beef Goulash last night.
60g flour
300g beef
Stick of celery
2 carrots
Large onion
Green pepper
3 tbsp worcester sauce
3 tbsp tomato puree
1 tsp paprika
3 tsp mixed herbs
200ml red wine
200ml beef stock
Fry the veg, chuck in the chopped beef after rolling it around in the flour until it's browned. Chuck in the puree, worcester sauce and paprika for a couple of minutes then add the stock and wine until it's simmering. Transfer to slow cooker for about 6 hours on high and it's yum yum time.
Going to try this on Sunday

Slightly off topic this but Jamie Foreman who plays Derek Branning is the son of a real eastend hardman called Freddie. Back in the sixties my old man was a good friend of Freddie and they were having a drink in a pub one night when the Kray twins walked in looking for someone with real bad intentions in mind. Freddie stood up in front of them and told them to get out and stop trying to cause trouble in his favourite pub. Such was Freddies reputation the Krays left.
Funny how Jamie is cast as a so called hardman these days.

i've never been, but a friend works in nandos and says that one of his workmates has a gimongous penis, like properly thick as well, so i'm tempted to give it a go.

Just Knocked up a swift pint of Snakebite. Used to drink this 30 odd years ago and was able to get almost legless on it for less than £3.00 spent all night

This is no excuse but when they show the darts in slow motion they always seem to fly in an up and down manner and not straight like you think they do, maybe the breeze does have a bigger effect than us normal pub players think it does

Hello,
I've got a Samsung telly. I have Virgin media and a DVD player running through it, nothing major. So when i switch it on, it goes straight to the virgin channel. For some reason, tonight when i switch it on, it gives a second of the virgin, then flicks to " no channels found, please run auto tune". It won't however let me run auto tune. As the remote isn't really working apart from switching the telly on and off. Normally, if i pressed a button to take me off the channel, i could switch off and back on. That however isn't working. And the red light, is flickering like mad. I can't tune any of the freeview channels and i can't get it to sit on the sky channel.
Has anyone seen or experienced anything like this before?
Sorry I am not very technical but is this flickering light on the remote control? If it is, is there any chance that a liquid has been spilt on it causing a short ? sorry if this is no help but i hope you get things sorted out

Just watched Rocky III for the first time in years.
I had forgotten how much of an Adam and Steve type film it was with big sweaty musclemen in tiny little crop tops and even smaller tight shorts
Wrong on so many levels

The last film I watched was Collateral, with Tom Cruise, Jamie Foxx, and the DELICIOUS Jada Pinkett Smith
I wasn't too sure of whether or not I fancied it to be honest, but it was on my blockbuster list and came through before I knew it. I was very pleasantly surprised. I thought it was superb.
Having said that, I'm a big fan of Michael Mann (Heat). Cruise was excellent, Foxx was even better, and it was very well shot. Very dark.
My only criticism, is that there's always a lot of background noise, and some of the dialogue was difficult to pick up at times.
However, overall 7/10. Very good.
I wonder if this thread will take off?
Nah doubt it

New to this post so don`t know if this has been asked before but what are the best make of hockey skates on the market just now? In my old days of the late 70`s it used to be the blue plastic Jofa skates or the CCM Super Tacks.

Whoever decided to put blue toothpaste into small squirty bottles that look like travel shaving foam cans! Very confusing after an afternoon in the pub then going home and trying to get ready for a night out!! Couldn`t understand at first why my face was suddenly freezing cold
