  1. I like plain kits devoid of pointless trimming and lurid patterns. I also like mince and tatties, pies and stovies. I'm just that kinda guy.
  2. Heard on radio Scotland that Falkirk are expected to follow the rovers in saying no to zombie FC .
  3. Chuffed re the boards stance. Also pleased that the rovers fans on here who were ready to walk away from the club are now saved from making an extremely tough choice. Good news all round.
  4. Paco, Scottish football is fucked all ends up regardless of what we as a club do. I've never been a man who enjoys self flagellation and that to me is what you'd be doing if you stopped attending rovers games. I do however see most of your point. But what's the alternative? Asda on a Saturday afternoon? Surely not .
  5. I completely see your point Paco, but could you honestly pack in going to see the Rovers? Seriously?
  6. Not the way it works. See Paul Lambert and Norwich for details....
  7. Say McGlynn does leave. Who would you like to replace him? Ellis and a n other? Mickey? Hartley? I'd like Paul smith and Mickey if smudger stayed.
  8. McGlynn ain't daft. Mad Vlad isn't the most stable of blokes to work for and he wouldn't be given a free hand to do his job nor the time to complete it. I'm hopeful he'll see sense and stay.
  9. You're right Scotty. Jeezus my memory is shite! 86/87 league winning season, the win at Stranraer on the last day. I went out wi ma burd in Edinburgh that night with that top on, got pished, back to hers, had a shhmoke and got a hot rock burn on my rovers top. Cared not a jot!
  10. The 92/93 championship winning team kit, sponsored by John Grubb and made by Spall. I think it was either the first or second season after reverting to our traditional dark blue after years in horrible royal blue?
  11. Aye you're probably right. Just got to hope they make a good start next season then it's game on again!
  12. It's very easy to rip the pish re optimistic predictions made early in the season by fans of a club starved of success for years. And years. And years. And years. And years. And years. And years. :-)
  13. da_no_1 Today, 00:01 Think there's a lot of players who'll be happy with any sort of footballing wage.... Spot on with this.
  14. Big Broonie made an error of judgement which he regrets, but he does say that it was a joke that got out of hand once the papers got a hold if it. I wouldn't let it detract from the fact he gave years of good service to the club both on and off the field.
  15. Ah memories, hadn't seen those clips for years. Was at the games and now just a distant memory. Bingo Simpson :-) fish suppers at Johnnys down the links after the games with my Dad. Happy days indeed.
  16. I read it on here a couple of weeks ago and the poster seemed convinced. I brought it up again a few days back, mainly because I don't like the Rovers in royal blue .
  17. 125th anniversary half and half for me. Just oozed class.
  18. As soon as I saw the above top I immediately thought of Bobby Ford and Ian Ballantine. Ah memories!!
  19. She did and my dad nearly divorced her for it. Sorry Bukta. Bloody maw.
